In bester Lage auf Mount Desert Island Maine, diese Eigenschaft wurde liebevoll gepflegt und von der gleichen Familie seit vier Generationen genossen. Das Cottage wurde entworfen und in den Jahren 2003-2004 von unserem Vater, Caleb, gebaut, um vollen Nutzen aus dieser idealen Ort, die einen direkten Zugang zum Wasser, Dock, Anlegestelle und eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Hafen hat zu nehmen.
Kurz vor dem Ende einer Privatstraße auf Connor Point, werden Sie die Ruhe eines echten Kurzurlaub fühlen. Nur wenige Schritte vom Wandern im Acadia National Park, und doch sind Sie nur 5 Fahrminuten von der charmanten Innenstadt von Southwest Harbor und 25 Minuten vom belebten und Spaß Stadt Bar Harbor. Spüren Sie das Leben zu verlangsamen, wie Sie genießen Sie Ihren Morgenkaffee auf der großen Terrasse mit Blick auf den Ozean und entscheiden, ob Sie, segeln, schwimmen, Kajak oder Shop zu wandern. Oct 2021What a beautiful and peaceful spot! Being able to look out at the ocean every day is always special. We were able to walk to a couple trail heads in Acadia right from the cottage. You can fish right from the dock in front of cottage. Very clean, lots of room, kitchen has everything you need and the front porch is a great place to eat your meals. Ben was easy to work with. We will definitely be back.

Jul 2017We just completed our week long family stay at this rustic but beautiful cottage. Beautiful views from the dining room, front porch, front bedrooms and the wonderful dock. We appreciated the cleanliness, comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen. So much to do. We were busy hiking , touring Acadia National Park, the Schoodic Peninsula and of course shopping and eating in Bar Harbor and the quiter harbors as well. We would return from our excursions to relax on the front porch or kayak off the pier. We did see two porpoises right off the pier one afternoon! The only negative was the time went by too quickly. We hope to return to Caleb's Cottage in the near future.

Sep 2017We had a WONDERFUL week here. It is a nature lovers paradise! We spent every morning sipping coffee on the porch and watching the water birds. We kayaked from the dock and we're only 25 minutes from Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. The cottage is clean and the view is amazing! We felt like "locals" and not tourists. Thank you for sharing this special place -we will be back!

Sep 2021We had a wonderful vacation at Caleb's Cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of five. The bed's are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is excellent with easy access to Southwest Harbor and an Acadia trailhead, Flying Mountain.

Jun 2022We had a lovely time staying at this quiet, clean, spacious cabin. We spent time looking for shells, enjoyed the beautiful sky, and it was easy to get around on the island from this location. It was also the most well stocked rental I've ever stayed at!

Aug 2018We fell in love with the cottage the second that we stepped foot inside. Well laid out, knotty pine walls and wide pine board floors. Very nice kitchen with a dining area that looks out over the cove. The 4 bedrooms are good sized and the two bathrooms were perfect for our family of 8. Our kids and grandkids spent hours each day fishing and swimming from the dock and hanging out on the expansive front porch. The location is also excellent with just a 5 or 10 minute walk to trails of Acadia or a very short drive to the village of Southwest Harbor. If all this wasn't good enough, a mooring with six feet of water at low tide accommodated our sailboat with ease. Awesome!!

Sep 2017We enjoyed another great week at Caleb's Cottage. Everything was great. We enjoyed kayaking from the dock, restful sunsets from the porch and easy access to Acadia. Highly recommend Caleb's Cottage if you prefer to experience the quieter side of MDI. Looking forward to returning again. Thanks for your hospitality.

Oct 2018We (6 friends - 3 couples) had a lovely time at Caleb's cottage this fall! The location is simply gorgeous, with amazing views and reflections of the sunrise and sunset on the water. The weather was a bit chilly, which made the fireplace inviting, and the kitchen has all of the cookware and dishes you might need! Ben was also incredibly helpful throughout the process.
We were in town to run the MDI races and were able to walk home from the finish line (around 35 min walk) to freshen up. A wonderful visit overall!

Jul 2018This was our second visit to the house and enjoyed it as much as the first. We intend to visit again in a year or so as it is comfortable, situated on a lovely view of the water, and provides all the space our family needs. Highly recommend it to anyone desiring a beautiful place to spend time with loved ones.

Sep 2022This was our first time to Maine and Acadia, it is difficult to select lodging on line. We were very pleased. The house was spacious and comfortable and had everything that we needed. We were also pleased that the location was near so many of the attractions we wanted to see, but far enough away that it was peaceful and relaxing when we returned to the house. I will definitely miss drinking my morning tea on that beautiful porch watching the birds and seals in the bay. We definitely plan on returning.

Jun 2022This is the 2nd time we stayed at Caleb's Cottage. The 1st time was last fall for a few days. This time we stayed for a week with family. The week was so wonderful that we plan to return next June.
The cottage is lovely and has everything you need. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen of any rental I have booked in the past.
The view is amazing and just like the pictures online. It is a very peaceful area. We rented a double kayak for the week which I would highly recommend.
Ben is wonderful to work with. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us again.

Sep 2021This cottage setting is peaceful, tucked away on a dead end gravel road overlooking the harbor. We watched eagles, loons and herons from the front porch. A perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Maine.

Jul 2021This cottage is ideally located in a private cove in Southwest Harbor. There was plenty of room for five adults and two small children. The cottage was extremely well supplied and the online descriptions are completely accurate. We would highly recommend this property.

If you are planning to stay during off peak season, plan on cooking as there are very few restaurants open. However, the house is fully stocked with all the tools, utensils, dinnerware needs to prepare complete meals. Overall, a great stay! Thank you!

Jun 2018The house is in a great location in Southwest Harbor. The hiking trails were so close by. We brought canoe and kayaks - the dock was so convenient. The weather/wind didn't cooperate as we would have liked (a little too chilly/windy/misty, not unexpected for early June) We did get around into Fernald cove and it was fun.
The house is very comfortable, well laid out, great front porch for hanging out, kitchen well stocked for easy meals.
We enjoyed it so much and look forward to going back.

Aug 2017The house is exactly as described. It is nicely situated near Southwest Harbor but still very close to Acadia. Walked into the park one day. Great waking up to the water every morning. Would certainly recommend to families or groups of adventurers.

Jul 2019Perfect private spot with beautiful views but conveniently close to southwest harbor. Great place to kayak and see wildlife including seals, otters and loons. I had never heard a loon call before and it was beautiful! House clean and well stocked with everything you will need. It was spacious and very comfortable for our group of 6. We look forward to returning!

Jun 2019“Peaceful” was my 8yos word to describe the house and it’s location and I agreed. Perfect setting to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck with a fantastic view.. and then the same in the evening to end the day. Amazing location and only a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Our refund was returned promptly. We will definitely be staying here again so we can explore even more of this amazing area. Thank you!!

Sep 2018Our family of 5 spent a week in the Cottage and it did not disappoint. Great location, quiet and relaxing. Kids enjoyed combing the beach every day and walking to the St. Sauveur trail system. Even though we had zero problems, the owner was responsive to our couple questions. We would definitely stay again.

We preferred this location vs busy Bar Harbor. The only negative was the staircase was super creaky/noisy and anyone going up/down late at night or early morning woke other family members.

Aug 2019Most beautiful location. Loved having access to the dock. The house has everything you need especially lots of kid friendly toys and games. The beds are very soft, so if you like a firmer bed, you need to know!
