Very relaxing trip. Close to the river. Nice property

This spacious beach house right off the ocean was the perfect getaway for a guys trip to Savannah. The home was beautiful, and the homeowner was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We had a great time, and I would highly recommend using this place for a large group or any occasion.

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful house. The property itself is laid out perfectly with a spacious kitchen and open living area with generous outdoor decks facing the water. It's location is terrific as well, being just a few steps from the beach. Susan, the property owner and manager was a great communicator, both responsive and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a nice home in need of some TLC. The owner is very friendly and easy to work with. There wasn't a toaster in the kitchen and the hand held mixer didn't work properly. It has a public access to the beach.

This is a GREAT property for the price on tybee island. The house comfortably fit our group of 8 and had room to spare. It’s not nearly as busy as the strip and the beach is a few area out the back door. For a bigger beach you can walk to the point in about 5 minutes. All the restaurants are also a 5-10 min walk away. The check in and check out process was a breeze. Highly recommend this location if you are looking for a relaxing week long trip to tybee with friends and family.

This gracious, light-filled home delights at each hour of the day. We loved being able to step onto a balcony from every bedroom upstairs, and porches off the kitchen enabled this northern family to make the most of time in the south (though the weather was not as sunny and warm as we had hoped). Literally every piece of furniture is extremely comfortable. The kitchen is equipped. There are games, puzzles and a wide variety of books provided for rainy days (including children's books in an upstairs bedroom). This home is well-structured to facilitate family time, with the option for each member's privacy, too. The location, at the Back River fishing pier, is sheltered and quiet. There's a partial view of the river over a few other houses; from the upper story, the view of breezes playing in the palms, and birds soaring over the river, is a feast for the eyes and spirit. Best of all, Susan is just about the most gracious host you can imagine. Susan is friendly, warm in her communications, welcoming and generous. I felt as though we were staying at the home of friends. When I had a question about the area, Susan responded quickly and helpfully. One gets the impression she is truly delighted to share her beautiful home with guests. Thank you, Susan! I hope my family is fortunate enough to return to Anna Mia Cottage.

This cottage is perfect for a family. Lots of space and eating areas. The cottage was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower. It was an easy walk to the inlet and not a bad walk to the Atlantic if you have a wagon to pull all the kids beach toys, etc. The cottage even has many beach accessories you can use. My grandkids loved all the books that were available for them to read. Plenty of adult books also. The weather in May was perfect for the beach as well as eating outside on the deck or just relaxing with a book or family. I will definitely come back here.

The property was clean and well lit. Kitchen was adequately equipped but a cookie sheet or two would have helped. We were there for a family mini-reunion and it was perfect for that. The grill was really not usable so we made due with the broiler. There were three people using the master bath, and all suggested a bath mat or some of those bath floor pads as the floor tends to get very slippery. Would hate to see someone fall and get injured in there. The host is very responsive to questions and left very good instructions. We were lucky to have great weather besides!!

The owner was accessible and nice

The night I booked the property was actually night before arrival . Short term def but got lucky and was vacant . I received a phone call within the hour after and it was the owner! She was friendly and sweet and I had never before had an owner or anything like that contact me personally ! That was just icing on cake texted when I needed and was very helpful and I just wanna express my gratitude for her ! I’ll be going back to this place soon.

Terrific stay!

Susan was so helpful and kind throughout our entire experience! I had the very best 40th birthday possible with six of my girlfriends who were all overly impressed with the Anna Mia property as well as the entire island. We loved the charm of the interior and exterior of the house, the proximity to the fishing pier and beach, the porches, and the beach and water toys available. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your gorgeous home with us! We can't wait to come back!

Susan was fantastic from booking all the way through our stay. The house is awesome and you can't beat the location. We look forward to trying to get back down to Tybee again later in the spring or summer and will most definitely try to stay here again. Thank you for the hospitality, Susan!

Perfect property

Perfectly located along Back River Beach. Walkable to restaurants (e.g. Pier 16, Fannies, Stingray’s, etc.) and shops (e.g. the beachy tourist shops, Fat Tire bike rental, etc.). On the quiet end of the beach (which we wanted and recommend). Fantastic deep porches make for perfect spots for morning coffee, evening dinner and/or cocktails. All rooms except for the foyer, dining room, and bathrooms open directly onto a deep, covered porch. There’s one bedroom and one bathroom on the lower level. The master suite, 3 bedrooms and a full hall bathroom are upstairs with the laundry room. There is plenty of furniture in the family room for a larger group to sit comfortably together. Note the house is second row with very limited water views next to public parking (very small lot); however, palm trees around the house provide privacy on the lower porch. As other reviewers have mentioned, for these rental rates, the property could benefit from some furniture replacement and general updating and maintenance. That said, the house was clean and functional and completely met our needs. As with any rental, if you plan on cooking a lot, bring any specialty items with you. The owner, Susan, was extremely responsive and helpful as we planned our trip and was kind enough to mail back a phone charger left in the bedroom. Check-in and check-out is easy. Linens, bath towels, beach towels, hair dryers, and hand soap pumps are provided. Prior guests left ample dish detergent and trash bags for us. You provide your personal toiletries and paper products. Great place to call home base while exploring all Savannah and Tybee Island have to offer. If you plan to dine at any signature restaurant in downtown Savannah, make reservations prior to your trip even if visiting during the off or shoulder seasons. When I asked Susan for a private chef referral, it turns out her next door neighbor, Meredith, is a private chef. We asked Meredith to prepare my 50th birthday dinner including appetizers, cocktails and desert that we chose to enjoy at the dining table on the porch. We all agreed it was the best meal we had all week on island or in downtown Savannah. We absolutely recommend Meredith!!! Fat Tire Bikes on Butler Avenue provided bicycles for us. Leo will take care of you and schedule both delivery and pick-up of bicycles. Be sure to take advantage of the bike path and ride over to the lighthouse and Marine Center. Outstanding

Our family met up for vacation in Tybee. This house was perfect! Enough rooms for everyone, close to the beach. We caught the sunrise over the ocean on 1 side of the island and then the sunset on the other. House was clean and up to our expectations. Highly recommended!

Our family had a great time in Tybee Island at this house. It came with everything you need for cooking, playing, and beach days. The walk to the beach and restaurants was short. The owner was fantastic at communicating and making sure our stay was enjoyable. Would definitely book here again!

My family and my daughter and some of her girlfriends rented this house for her birthday weekend. The house was great and easy access to the beach.
