The beds are very comfortable and the living area and decks are lovely for relaxing. Spectacular beach and walks nearby. We would love to return and explore more. Many thanks!

Dec 2022This VRBO had everything you could need. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements, utensils, etc. The location was wonderful, just a short walk to the beach.

Mar 2021This bach has a very homely feel and is well-positioned at the quieter end. A beautiful bach located in a peaceful, private setting surrounded by bush and mature trees. Our children loved the swing rope. The owners provide lots of useful information and are really nice to deal with. We will definitely be in touch to plan another stay.

Views, books, privacy, sunshine, shade, coffee machine...what more do you need? We would all return to this blissful bach in a heartbeat.

The room with bathroom above the garage was perfect for my older parents to escape the chaos when needed.
The large deck area was wonderful.
The outside shower was perfect after the beach.
It was all just what we needed for the wedding week.

The things we enjoyed most were the proximity to the beach, the spacious open plan living and dining area, and the indoor-outdoor flow onto the decks. As we were staying late in the season, we didn’t get as much afternoon sun as you’d get in summer. However, this gave us the opportunity to use the fireplace to stay nice and cosy.
Stock up on supplies before you get to Piha. While there’s a shop, it is relatively limited, and there aren’t too many restaurants. The RSA was unexpectedly closed on the night we tried to dine there unfortunately. As mentioned, we were staying late in the season and so there might be more on offer in the summer months.

Aug 2020My friends and I loved this place - heaps of room to laze about, well stocked kitchen for cooking and nicely located at the quiet end of Piha beach. Hosts were super easy to communicate with, providing all the need-to-knows ahead of the stay in a handy PDF.

Oct 2019Hoping that the locks on the upstairs windows are removed in summer already very hot up on 2nd storey. This would certainly deter me from renting the property in summer.

Feb 2019Having so many steps was hard for me as I am 84 years old, but we managed. ( A hand rail up the steps by the kitchen would be a help.) The beds were very comfortable and the house was well appointed with most things we may need. Maybe ask the neighbours to trim back the bushes so that a vehicle can exit more safely would be helpful. We were nearly hit by a car coming from the north end.

It has all you need to comfortably stay for several nights. It’s in a great location and the house itself is very well laid out, providing space for all guests. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.
