Jun 2018We stayed one night over the weekend and it was great. The perfect little house for myself and my boyfriend. It was spotless apart from some random dog hair found on the couch. Super close to the village, easy parking outside and easy access to the key lock box. We loved staying in and cooking and while the knives were pretty dull it had everything we need!! It was a great rental but would actually suggest booking through Cool Cabins directly because this site charges an additional $30.

Jul 2020We loved the cabin & location, it was a good amount of space for 4 adults and 2 dogs.
My only negative feedback to provide is that you have to go to an office just so the management company can tell you the lock box code. I found this frustrating because this is something that can easily be done electronically rather than exposing more people to COVID by coming into an office. Also, the company emails out a waiver prior to arrival but it ended up in my spam so the only reason I knew not to go straight to the cabin was from other comments here.
After leaving the office and heading to the cabin around 4:45pm (check in is at 4pm) we arrived at the cabin and the cleaning crew was still there. Overall this was not a great start to the weekend. Something they don't list on the listing is that yes this cabin is pet friendly but there is a fee, minimal but still something they should list upfront.
Overall we enjoyed the cabin but future forward I would prefer to rent directly from owners rather than from a management company and that's what you get with this cabin.

Feb 2021This place is cute, and the front room is comfortable. The bathroom, specifically the shower, needs updating. Finding were to turn on lights was challenging as the switches weren’t labeled. We were never able to get the fan in the front room to work. The utensils could use an update. Big Bear was super crowded the weekend we were there and social distancing was largely ignored.

Jun 2020This cabin was beautifully furnished and obviously well taken care of. It was clean and in a nice and quiet location that was also conveniently located in town. We were able to walk to restaurants, the lake and even the little convenience store. We enjoyed hiking the mountain behind the property. We enjoyed the lovely deck in the evenings and mornings.

Jul 2020This Big Bear cottage was great. Great location close to everything. The property is clean and kept up. The only problem I had was the listing did not say who the management company is and that I had to check in at another location. Over all I would definitely stay here again.

Mar 2018The property is much smaller than expected. It is not two bedrooms, it's one with a side room. The bathroom was even smaller. The sink was so far out to the right wall that when we used it, we had to tuck in our right elbow so not to knock on the wall. The shower felt like it was a tight rocket for one person. My husband and my kids joked that now they're ready to catapult into space in that shower.
If that was not enough, the driveway was not cleared of the snow and we were forced to park on the street. Here's the problem, the road was narrow and at a slope. We turned our car around and my husband was worried that once it got cold, the snow and the water would turn into ice and the car would just slide on the road down. We had to keep an eye out all night.
With that said, the rooms were immaculate clean. The living room was rather cozy and warm. We brought a log from home and made a really cabin like feel to the house. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was clean.
In summary, it was okay for one night. Next time we will be using a hotel room so we can have better amenities.

Jun 2019The cottage was as described except it said TV and it only had WiFi. You could watch Netflicks and Amazon. The Wifi was not great so you could not get it all of the time. It is great that you can bring your pets!

Oct 2020Stayed with 2 adults, 2 children and especially enjoyed hiking straight from the backyard onto the Pine Knot Trail. Table and chairs on the front porch would have been lovely for meals outside, but everything else was wonderful.

Jan 2020Overall the cabin was very clean and was very comfortable to stay in. Would recommend this place for future visits. Super close to the downtown village and Big Bear/Snow Summit mountains.

It snowed A LOT overnight so would recommend bringing a shovel to dig out in the morning if you are planning to ski/snowboard.
