This was a lovely spot to stay for a fall getaway, it was very quiet and private, as the other building on the property was vacant. It was super for canoeing, and the bike trail provided an easy ride into Fenelon Falls. We saw a painted turtle while out on the canoe, and a heron while on the bike trail. Fantastic! The outdoor space was generous, and lots to do, but bring a ball if you want to make use of the soccer nets, and the trampoline was a real bonus. The town is small, but has an interesting assortment of businesses, including a grocery store, bargains store, and antiques and collectibles. The ice cream parlour didn't seem to be open for the fall weekday business, but we were able to purchase Kawartha ice cream in tubs at the grocery store. It has an ok equipped kitchen, but was lacking in some basics like oven mitts, flat trays for heating in the oven, and utensils to make omelette making easy. And it would have been nice to have wine glasses for enjoying our wine. The coffee cups and glasses were also on the small side. And there is no salt and pepper provided, so be sure to bring your own. However, it is new construction, and I expect that as time goes by these things will get sorted out, and overall are minor inconveniences. Overall we had a great time, and I would definitely recommend this property, the owner answered emails promptly, and it is obvious that care has been taken of this property.

This property is very private. We enjoyed our time here and would go back again! Dmitry answered all questions in a timely manner and is very pleasant. I want to thank Dmitry for allowing us to rent his beautiful property!

This property is gorgeous, this is our second year enjoying it. The privacy, the views, the kids did not get bored with their mini park and trampoline. We are very happy to have found this property and look forward to our next visit.

The cottage is VERY private but the road is difficult to navigate without bottoming-out in potholes. The furnishings aren't the most comfortable but everything is clean and well-kept. It was lovely to enjoy morning coffee on the expansive deck overlooking the river and watch the kids paddling in the canoe and kayak. While there were lots of life-jackets provided (in a variety of sizes) and lots of toys for youngsters, our teens were very disappointed that the trampoline was out of order. All in all, if you're looking for privacy and tranquility on the river, this is an ideal location. The owner was very accommodating and responded quickly when I asked for clarification of a couple of matters. Be sure to bring lots of bug spray tho'....the mosquitos are hungry!

Such a wonderful, quiet and beautiful spot! The cottage was well equipped, the river was great for swimming and the kids had lots to do.

Our family of three (plus dog) had a fun and comfortable stay mid-August. Dmitry the owner met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the property and answered any questions we had, which we really appreciated. The cottage is situated on a large private lot, with plenty of activities to keep busy - a soccer net, trampoline, fire pit with plenty of seating and even a play set for younger kids. We made use of the kayak and canoe for exploring the quiet river. The river is good for swimming off the dock - not too weedy and not many boats at all, at least during the week we stayed. There are biking trails not far at all from the access road which was perfect for checking out the close by towns. Cottage kitchen had almost everything we needed (one rainy night we made pizza and didn't have a pan for that, but all else was available), coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. Will definitely be back next year!

Our family of 4 (2 young boys) had a fantastic time. The cottage is lovely, with lots of privacy. The boys loved the soccer field and spent hours playing. We all enjoyed the evening fires. We also enjoyed the dock for swimming and lounging. We had a wonderful time and are already planning our return trip next year.

Our experience here was better than anything we were expecting. The scenery was gorgeous, the property was nice and tidy, very private and it was very relaxing. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from the stress of everyday life and take some time to relax and enjoy themselves. 10/10 would stay here again

Nice small cottage, just right size for our party of 4 adults. Well equipped inside and outside. You have everything for a perfect escape from city and enjoy the nature. We had wonderful time. Thank you Dmitry! We will be back :)

If we ignore the annoyance from the thousands of mosquitoes in this season, this was one of the best waterfront cottage staying experience we've had in a long time. Dmitry did a great job communicating everyrhing we needed to know about the property. This is the ideal place if you have a motor boat and want to explore the region. If you are coming to relax on the property, don't rent it over the weekend, as the boat traffic on the river is pretty intense then. During the week was really quiet and pleasant. Overall we had a great experience, we would like to return to try it late summer as well. Thank you, Dmitiry.

Communication with property owner was excellent. Guest house & amenities exactly as advertised, nicely renovated / modernized, & lovely and clean upon arrival, no surprises! Property setting was exactly what we wanted, a quiet, peaceful, private cottage on the Burnt River. Very relaxing, NICE ! We would definitely like to come back again.👍 Regards, Ken M. Toronto
