Hoch auf einem Kamm mit Blick nach Norden auf die Stanmore Bay gelegen, genießen Sie die friedliche, ländliche Umgebung, umgeben von Bäumen, mit Blick auf das Meer. Das Kereru Cottage ist ein eigenständiges Gebäude mit einer eigenen Auffahrt und einem eigenen Garten und bietet Ihnen einen eigenen privaten Bereich.
Geeignet für Familien mit kleinen Kindern, Paare und kleine Gruppen.
Kommen Sie die Außentreppe hoch und betreten Sie das Kereru Cottage durch den sonnigen Wintergarten, der einen warmen und geschützten Raum für sommerliche Mahlzeiten bietet.
Im Inneren befinden sich das gemütliche Wohnzimmer, das Hauptschlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, das zweite Schlafzimmer mit einem weiteren Doppelbett und das halb-ensuite Badezimmer (von jedem Schlafzimmer aus zugänglich). Das Sofa in der Lounge öffnet sich und bietet bei Bedarf ein drittes Bett.
Eine Wärmepumpe / Klimaanlage hält das Cottage im Winter warm und im Sommer kühl. Die Lounge verfügt über einen neuen LED-Fernseher mit Zugang zu Netflix und Prime Video sowie Freeview HD.
Die Küche ist mit einem Backofen, einer Mikrowelle, Kaffee- und Teezubehör sowie einem Geschirrspüler ausgestattet. Einige Frühstücksnahrungsmittel, Milch und grundlegende Kochutensilien sind enthalten.
Die Gäste haben die volle Nutzung der Hütte (außer Garage). Es gibt eine Rasenfläche für Kinder zum Spielen und Platz zum Parken mehrerer Autos.
Bettwäsche (Bettwäsche und Handtücher) ist inklusive. Für längere Aufenthalte bieten wir einen Wäscheservice an (einmal pro Woche).
Ihre Gastgeber Simon und Sophy wohnen im Nachbarhaus. Wir helfen Ihnen gerne bei Fragen während Ihres Aufenthalts oder respektieren Ihre Privatsphäre, wenn Sie es vorziehen, für sich zu behalten.

Mar 2018What a serene, tranquil and beautiful spot. Private and a beautiful homely feel. I would recommend this home and location to anyone. I do not know Auckland well but we could not have chosen a better place to holiday. Central to beautiful spots and not to far from the hub of it all if wanted. And the tuis, stunning!

Apr 2019We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was very well kitted out, comfortable and the views were stunning. The shower was great, the kitchen had everything we need and our kids (5 & 3) loved the toy box, backyard and the birds. We’d return happily!

Dec 2018We loved our stay here. The couple was very responsive, met us in check in, and had the place cleaned and prepped for us. Worked with us on early check in and let check out and were a joy to deal with. Location was awesome too. 5 min drive to beach and shops. We loved it. Thank you!!!

Oct 2018We loved our short time at Kereru Cottage. It was quiet and peaceful, has beautiful views, a great location, and was a lovely place to come back to after a busy day exploring nearby areas. We would definitely recommend the cottage and would love to come back.

Jan 2019Well equipped with off road parking, but the water supply, pressure and hot water in the kitchen sink was a problem, the shower was interesting as well. Nice clean unit, ok if you can climb outside stairs.

Dec 2019My daughter and I had 3 nights in Kereru cottage. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated and the owners Simon and Sophy have thought of all the little things too. Thank you for the Granola and the eggs which I was allowed to use. We enjoyed the beaches and the very well designed aquatic centre meant I could do laps while away from home. The Albany shopping centre was special because we don't have shops like that at home.New world is so close and we would have stocked up there rather then using the Pak n Save on the main Road. Thank you and sorry we left dishes in the dishwasher we ran out of time as we had to be in Hamilton at1:00.

Our first ever booking on this system as we were over from the UK and would definitely recommend this bach to anyone. Thanks to Simon and Sophy for answering our questions about things we were unsure of.

Mar 2021Loved Kereuru Cottage - it had just what I was looking for - lovely NZ native bush, birds, a bit of a sea view, in walking distance to a lovely beach - Arkles Bay which is a beautiful sheltered, typical pohutukawa-fringed North Shore style beach. It is up the hill, a bit more remote which means you are away from the busyness of the main Whangaparoa Road, yet all the shops you could possibly want are within striking distance. I didn't have a car and could walk about easily, though beware it is up a hill. It had all the mod cons for a comfortable stay and you could self-cater which was perfect - Sophy & Simon have pretty much thought of everything you could possibly need for a lovely stay - my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer!

It is up the hill, a bit more remote which means you are away from the busyness of the main Whangaparoa Road, yet all the shops you could possibly want are within striking distance. I didn't have a car and could walk about easily, though beware it is up a hill. It had all the mod cons for a comfortable stay and you could self-cater which was perfect - Sophy & Simon have pretty much thought of everything you could possibly need for a lovely stay - my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer!

Jan 2020A small two-bedroom cottage which is elevated and borders on native shrubby bush. The chalet cottage is tastefully decorated and the name Kereru Cottage fits it well. Extras provided by the owner for breakfast were very welcome. There are about 12-15 stairs to get up to the front door. A very peaceful place away from the madding crowds.

In a very quiet and beautiful part of Whangaparao approx 5 minute drive to shops and beach. Recently refurbished with new amenities and furnishings, generously stocked kitchen which had enough in it to get you started on your stay before having to hit the supermarket.
