Wenig zu Punkt von der großen privaten Nordosten mit Blick auf Decks auf beiden Ebenen gibt es einen atemberaubenden Panorama Meer und Blick auf die Küste in Barrenjoey Leuchtturm nehmen. Die nahtlose Indoor-Outdoor-Wohnbereiche sind in komfortable Strand Stil, darunter zwei große balinesischen Tagesbetten für den Nachmittag Snooze eingerichtet.
Palm Beach und Whale Beach sind ein gemächlich 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und es gibt viele Restaurants, Cafés und Geschäfte in der Nähe (ein Fuß oder 5 -15 Minuten Fahrt). Darüber hinaus gibt es viele Ausflüge möglich auch auf den Barrenjoey Leuchtturm zu Fuß auf, eine Fahrt mit der Fähre auf Pittwater zu nehmen und in den lokalen Nationalparks zu Fuß.

Oct 2020We stayed here as a group of 7 over Christmas and the house was great. The setting looking out over the sea is the real wow factor and is amazing to wake up to. Great location with both Whale Beach and Palm beach a 15 minute walk away.The house is equipped with everything you need, only thing to change is that some of it was a little bit dated so it isn't the most modern feeling house. There are also quite a lot of steps up to the house so it would be difficult for elderly people.Would definitely recommend to others, we had a great stay and Shane was very helpful with recommendations.

Jan 2019We stayed at Rimrock over the new years break and it was an absolutely amazing vacation. Shane was a great host, who was happy to answer any questions and was understanding to our special requests. The house itself contains all the luxuries you require! The fact that it does not have AC is no issue as the cool sea breeze is constant and the house is designed to allow for cross flow ventilation. Now lets talk about the views - they were absolutely spectacular! Theres nothing quite like waking up to the expansive sea views, watching the water glisten in the morning sunlight, hearing the waves crash in on the cliffs down below, feeding some local parrots as they land on the balcony - it was just magical. The house is perfectly positioned between Palm Beach and Whale Beach, only a 10-20 minute walk away from each. It is also a short car trip away from the local supermarket and eateries. Thanks so much to Shane for having us in your amazing home!

Oct 2017We rented Rimrock Retreat for a weekend with friends from the US. What a perfect way to show them our beautiful beaches! The house is great for a large group (we had 8 but could have slept 10). The access is steep but well worth the climb! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Jan 2020We loved our weekend at Rimrock. Its in a great location for swimming or walking at either palm or whale beach and is a very well stocked house that you wont want to leave. The house itself is not massive - but then the 2 gorgeous, amazing decks are huge and thats where we spent every meal and afternoon reading, chatting etc.

May 2018We had a group of 10 last weekend for a ladies getaway and had an incredible time. The house itself is stunning - the shower in the ensuite room is like something you'd expect at a tropical resort. And to top it off, all the lovely decorations and treats like chocolates, Nespresso pods, spices, soaps, towels and blankets galore - Shane went above and beyond and we really appreciate it! Waking up to that view was out of this world, we made so many plans for the day but ended up sitting for hours up on the balcony watching the kayakers, sailboats, cockatoos and dolphins! Shane was an amazing and extremely responsive host, we cannot thank you enough and will hopefully one day be back.

Oct 2017We booked the whole property at Rimrock Retreat for a weekend away for a friend's wedding. There were 10 of us in total and we all had the most relaxing and amazing weekend. The views literally look our breath away it was just stunning, and to top it off we even saw some humpback whales! The furnishings and amenities are perfect and so comfortable, and even with a full house we didn't feel cramped. The property was so clean and welcoming and we all wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for a beautiful luxurious weekend away, best property in Palm/Whale Beach! And the welcome champers and chocolates were a wonderful touch!

Sep 2020This property is a must! The photos don’t do this house any justice. Once you see the house in person you will absolutely fall in love! The weekend spent here was absolutely perfect. The deck was fantastic to relax on and enjoy some food and drinks. The views from both decks are phenomenal! I have never seen anything that compares. We watched the sunrises in the morning from the balcony and it took us back to Hawaii! The house was perfect for us. All the utensils that we needed were provided. Coffee, tea, spices and even milk was provided. Beautiful soaps in the bathroom and hand sanitisers throughout the house made us feel very welcome. Shane’s communication was great throughout the trip! Very fast response with any questions we had and very polite. Complimentary champagne and chocolates on arrival was such a beautiful touch. Shane’s emails about eateries and things to do in Palm beach was so helpful. Off street parking was no problem for us. You are able to walk to the beach from the property (beautiful walk) without any issues and it is very close. I 100% will be staying here again and recommending this property to family and friends. Thank you Shane! A very memorable weekend.

Nov 2019This place has the most magnificent, breath taking views of the ocean from both the upper and lower deck. I chose this place to celebrate my 50th with 8 of my closest friends from far and away. On the first evening there, we enjoyed gathering on the top deck to enjoy drinks and nibbles while experiencing the ocean sounds with this glorious backdrop. Rimrock Retreat has lovely decor and had a very relaxed feel. The three bathrooms and separate bedroom areas made it comfortable. We enjoyed a dip at Whale Beach and a walk to Barren Joey Lighthouse. The area is very quiet with beautiful surrounds and birdlife. We caught a ferry to Patonga for lunch at the Boat House which was a highlight. By mid afternoon we headed back to Rimrock Retreat to watch a DVD, enjoy some games, listen to music and relax with a glass of wine or two. We all enjoyed our stay immensely and agreed that we should stay here every year to reignite our friendships and rejuvenate in this gorgeous space.

Oct 2018The view is beautiful and place very clean. Shane and Stuart were pleasure to work with and always prompt to respond to any enquiries. The only downside is the hike up to the house, which those in their 20s and 30s had no issue but my parents had some difficulty especially in the rain. We used the inclinator for the luggages and kids which certainly saved us! All in all a great and relaxing stay.

The house is well maintained and there are a huge selection of kitchenware, board game etc. Some of us found the linen to be a bit dusty but it might be because of the Covid lock down. Jun 2021Stunning views and very comfortable accommodation, especially upstairs. Everything you need is provided, even to a broad selection of coffee pods. Inclinator was a Godsend, so helpful with bags and supplies. We would definitely stay here again.

Oct 2019Shane & Stuart had everything we needed to make our stay feel like a home away from home. The home decor was beautiful, the coffee capsules to choose from, clean property with stunning views. You won’t leave the balconies.
The bedroom en-suite photos do not do it justice. So relaxing.

May 2018Rimrock Retreat had everything we needed for relaxing, quality family time (including board games)! We loved the views and sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks. The stunning water views are mesmerising. Communication with Shane, the Owner was outstanding. We were surprised at how quiet the area was considering it was school holidays. We enjoyed the local restaurants especially the Boathouse and Barrenjoey House. Thank you for the champagne and chocolates.

There are a lot of steps up to the accomodation however we were provided with the use of the inclinator which made bringing all our belongings up and down from the accomodation so easy! Great idea and so helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Dec 2019Just fabulous for Christmas ! We all said it's not often something lives up to one's expectations but Rimrock Retreat exceeded them for our extended family. The home is a real retreat... stunning yet oozing in comfort and charm.
We loved waking up at sunrise to watch the sun peeping over the glistening horizon, the birds, early morning sailors...… just divine !
And the plus for me was to navigate through your eclectic musical collection . Thank you so much Shane. You have shown us there really is a Santa !
