Little Bay, der für sein Angeln, Schnorcheln und Tauchen berühmt ist, ist der perfekte weiße Sandstrand, der von Pohutakwa und dem kristallklaren blauen Wasser umrahmt wird. Der Strand ist familienfreundlich mit einer kleinen Mündung und einem weiten, offenen Strand, oft mit Traktoren und Fischern übersät, die vom Meer zurückkehren.
Die Bucht ist nach Osten ausgerichtet und gut geschützt, ideal zum Aufstehen, Paddeln, Schwimmen oder Kajakfahren. Zum Strand laufen Sie 3 Minuten.
Wir können je nach Bedarf verschiedene Sportartikel ausleihen.
Das Haus ist mit allem Notwendigen für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt ausgestattet.
Wir haben ein Hausschwein Kupe, der unser nachhaltiger Kompostmann ist, und Kiki, unseren Boxerhund, liebt es, Umarmungen zu besuchen.
Ein kurzer Spaziergang (10 Minuten) vom Haus entfernt bringt Sie zur Waikawau Bay - dem letzten geschützten Strand im Coromandel - der 3 km langen Brandung, der Heimat des berühmten Sandburg-Wettbewerbs und des Campingplatzes Waikawau.
Es gibt verschiedene kurze Spaziergänge (15 Minuten bis zu 3 Stunden) von der Hintertür im einheimischen Buschland und dem regenerierenden Kauri-Wald. (Bitte putzen Sie Ihre Stiefel und schützen Sie unsere Kauri).
Die Gegend ist umgeben von einheimischen Kiwi, Kaka, Morepork, Tui und Kereru - einige besuchen Sie auf dem Balkon, andere können Sie in der Abenddämmerung hören.
Little Bay befindet sich 20 Minuten nordöstlich von Colville (nächstgelegenes Geschäft für Vorräte) oder 40 Minuten nordöstlich von Coromandel Town.

May 2017What a delightful surprise to find Little Bay. We were welcomed by Ally on arrival and this was the start of a fabulous weekend. Littlebayuphigh is beautifully presented, very spacious with the most magnificent view. Much care has been taken and no details overlooked. We look forward to returning and will most certainly be recommending this gem to friends. Thank you to Ally who is such a warm and welcoming host.

Jan 2019We really enjoyed our stay at Little Bay. It was everything that it said in the description and we had a lovely relaxing stay. The beach is charming and the sense of community is strong. The walk down the hill to the beach was good for our fitness.
The beds are comfy and the house is well presented and tidy without clutter.
The owner is a fantastic person to deal with and having her next door added to the experience.
We loved feeding Kupe the pig and having visits from Kiki the dog. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The house was big enough and comfy enough to still enjoy the weekend inside and enjoy the rainy but beautiful view from the house. The host Ally lives directly behind and is a fantastic host. She took our kids for a tractor ride down to the beach which they thoroughly enjoyed. We can’t wait to come back on a sunny weekend and enjoy more than just the beautiful house and view.
