Dec 2021We arrived to find the unit apparently hadn’t been cleaned, or whoever cleaned it decided to do a poor job. The sink was full of dirty dishes, toilets were dirty and unflushed, with feces in the bowl and on the lid. Trash cans were not emptied and some trash was scattered about. There were wads animal hair in numerous spots. The unit overall also felt old and like it needed significant upgrades. The only bright spot was the service of the renter - they refunded our stay quickly with relative ease (though didn’t really have a choice given the condition of the place). I recommend looking elsewhere.

Sep 2021Trip was four couples to relax. Perfect location as it’s two blocks from beach and can see the harbor while sipping morning coffee or afternoon cocktail on the front patio. Very nice bathrooms and four bedrooms. Only slight negative is one bedroom is twins. No A/C but ok with windows open and fans on. Very quite area but within walking or bike ride to several restaurants & bars. There are several options for delivery also.. First time to visit Newport Beach and it was a hit.

Jul 2021The home was 1 block from a quiet bay beach and a short 2 blocks to the ocean beach. The home was clean and spacious with everything we needed including boogie boards and beach chairs. Wonderful wrap around patio where we ended up for morning coffee and pizza evenings. Wonderful memories were made!

We stayed the week of June 1-8. The house is very nice and BurrWhite staff was very helpful. I liked the layout with sleeping upstairs and open areas downstairs. Location worked really well for us with bike paths so close. My only concern was the height of the stair bannisters on top. They seemed about 8-12” too low and the ability of someone to hit the side and flip over was unnerving. We did not have a problem because we put a chair at the corner but you should check that height. It hit me at the thigh level, not the hip. Seemed scary

Bay Ave. beach house. Our family enjoys the location to the bay as well as the ocean front. There is plenty of room for entertaining and family game nights. We have enjoyed this property for our annual family vacation for a number of years. A few constructive suggestions include new firm King mattresses, new dishwasher & re-installation of Master Bedroom fan to eliminate humming noise.

My husband and I stayed here last year with our family (11 total) and loved it so much that we booked with Burr White Realty again this year. The property is in a great location to both Newport Pier and Balboa Pier. With 11 people making sure plenty to do in walking/skateboard or scooter distance is important. It is clean and spacious with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a great sized garage that is 100% for the renter to use, all of these things are the reason we have stayed two summers for a week at this property.
Burr White has great customer service, friendly staff and cares about the property’s and the client. I highly recommend both Burr White Realty and this property location.

Great house. Close proximity to kids sandy beach and ocean. House was roomy and comfortable. Bathrooms were large and clean. Lots of room for many adults / children. 6 adults and 5 toddlers under age of 5 were able to get lost in the home. Kitchen had all needed utensils / gadgets. Patio was perfect for relaxing and watching boats go by.

Every year we take our families to Newport/Balboa and have stayed a few additional nights each year; we are on our fourth year and decided to stay for 7 nights. We had 11 total people and this property was perfect!! The location and size of the house was exactly what we were looking for. We couldn’t have been happier with the house, location or property management. We highly recommend both and will book with Burr White again next year. We also had a surprise (wedding) in our vacation and when we had to shuffle a date in the beginning Burr White was amazing in getting it all figured out for us. Thanks so much for making our family/surprise wedding trip so memorable and easy :) - Mr & Mrs. C Travelers looking to book this property will be very pleased with the size; as it is exactly as described, clean, well maintained (owner and management take pride in the home and it shows) close to the beach and bay, 3 car garage was a huge bonus and being able to walk to both piers all week for Coffee was perfect :), not a loud party side which is our style very relaxing, and the people were all very nice.

Very nice house and very clean. The house layout and the location really works for our family. Nice to have a view of the Bay. We are disappointed with the King beds. One has an egg crate on the mattress which our children said wasn't very comfortable. The Master bedroom needs a new King mattress. We mentioned this last year but to no avail. I ended up with a terrible back issue from the bed. We recommend that the BBQ be replaced. Pieces are coming off and the burners are in bad shape.

This is a beautiful house with lots of room. We had three generations sharing this home and we all found lots of space to gather for games, or separate for some reading time. The patio is great and access to bay beach and main beach were terrific. Bathrooms are all updated and upgraded- just wonderful.

Even though we were supposed to get the keys at 4, we went to the house and the cleaners were still cleaning the family room and kitchen. They left at 4:45. Disappointing that we couldn't unload and begin dinner preparations as planned. The "packing for your vacation rental" email stated that 2 full rolls of Toilet paper, plus small soap, would be left in each bathroom. Each bathroom contained less than a half roll,one almost bare, no extra rolls, no small soap. I keep notes each year of what to bring, and since we were shorted approximately 5 rolls, we had to obtain additional T.P. Last year we had the correct amount, and we had t.p. left over. We thought you should know that the cleaners are not leaving soap, t.p. or a roll of paper towels. A major problem we had this year was the inability of the cleaners to remove the dog hair. My wife was extremely upset with the huge tufts of white dog hair throughout the house. It was especially upsetting when t he butter dish and pancake plate on the dining table ended up with large wads of dog hair on them. I don't know the answer to this problem, but it was a problem. Additionally, we swept up large amounts of dog hair wads (probably would fill a Gallon-sized Ziplock bag. We have two family members who are allergic to dogs, and suffered with sneezing and coughing the entire week. It is a very nice house, and suits our family of 11 well, with the exception of the copious amounts of dog hair.

It has a great layout for a family. The bathrooms have all been remodeled and they are beautiful. There is new vinyl flooring on the first floor. The patio has a great view of the bay, as do many of the rooms. It is 1.5 blocks from the ocean and a bay beach area, a great location!I think the house is halfway there. The house could be a jewel if they finished the upgrades such as replacing the very dirty carpeting upstairs. It grossed me out to walk on it and made the bottoms of our feet dirty. There are only blinds/curtains in the TV room in the back of the house, and those are old and worn out. The front living room, dining room, and kitchen are a fishbowl with no blinds/curtains making them unusable once it’s dusk. Everyone can see into the house and it’s creepy. The furniture in both of the living rooms is very uncomfortable to sit in. The kitchen appliances are very outdated. The instructions tell you to cool your items before putting them in the fridge, a first for me. The stove microwave was broken and there was one on the counter taking up space. The dishwasher & coffee maker is ancient. The light over the kitchen sink didn’t work. The dish drainer was rusted and dirty.The master bedroom bedding was old and gross. The blinds that are in the upstairs rooms need to be replaced. Overall, the house was not very clean, with lots of cobwebs. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. Due to road-noise, it’s hard to sleep with the windows open in any upstairs room. I called the management company about the slow drains in the master shower and sink, and they were prompt in sending a repairman out. They also sent a “new” dish rack, but it was used and dirty. It would have been nice to know the BBQ as natural gas. We thought the tank was missing and could not use it for two days. Beautiful loca

Jan 2022If you're looking for a ritzy experience, this is not for you. If you're looking for a comfy family experience, you found it! We cooked a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen and enjoyed it in the open dining room. We loved this place. It's eclectic, but brings memories of staying at your grandparent's house.
