Hidden Woods Homestay

We met Amid and his family and they were really nice and friendly. Amid is also more than helpful and can give you a lot of advices. The house is clean and very cosy. They also provide you food if you want. We can absolutely recommend this home stay.

We came across this homestay only by chance when we were looking for accommodation away from the madness of the main city. First day we stayed close to mall road and were a bit disappointed. When we moved to Amit’s homestay our perception of Darjeeling totally changed. Amit is a true host in every sense. He helped us in every way. He planned our tour around Darjeeling and even dropped us to Gangtok. The homestay is pristine clean and so well kept. Not a spec of dust in any corner. Even the carpets, I have never seen the carpets so clean in any hotel or homestay. And the food is scrumptious to say the least. The chicken curry was awarded as being the bestestt by my son 😂 , even the simple dal was super yumm. When our son was feeling a bit unwell one morning, Amit even arranged for the medicine and got food especially made for him. We are truly grateful for the care and support the family showed. When we travel to mountains or any offbeat location, we always prefer homestays to gel into the local culture. And I can it without a doubt that this has been the best of the best. The hospitality of the family was really heartwarming. We are staying here whenever we are visiting Darjeeling again. A home away from home in true sense.

Owner and family were really nice and helpful. We enjoyed the walk into Darjeeling along the back roads a lot and we did it most days. Room was very comfortable and had use of upstairs sitting room with it. Particularly nice was the electric blanket when it was cool in the late evening. Very good place to chill after a walk. View of Tiger Hill great. Would stay again and recommend to all.

Host Mr. Anil was very polite and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned and equipped with all necessary requirements. Food was homemade, organic and delicious.

Great location, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay is decoration of the room and ofcourse the view from stay as well as the room. very well decorated and hygienic with all facilities. all credit goes to the owner of this stay Mr. Amit and his family. foods are also really awesome. if you really want a offbeat stay near ghoom must visit once in this home stay.

nothing, everything about this place is awesome. only issue is the road from jorebungalow to this stay is little narrow. so sometimes you could stuck on road jam.
