Oct 2022What a lovely property, full of charm in a cozy setting. Like many others, we found the bed comfortable and appreciated the extras that made our stay easy—coffee, cream, and a basket of snacks and fruit. The location can’t be beat. We easily walked around the corner to restaurants, brewery and bakeries. Yum! Ramona was quick to answer questions we had and was the perfect host.

Nov 2021We really enjoyed a relaxing stay at this heritage property. Enjoyed hiking in Foley Mountain Conservation Area and walking to restaurants for dinner. We made breakfast and lunch using the amenities described; note that you need to use the bathroom sink to wash dishes. We would gladly return!

Jun 2022We had a wonderful one night stay at the Stray Cat Inn. The property is located in the heart of Westport and walking distance to everything. The beautifully decorated rooms are full of small but welcome extras for travelers - from toiletries to snacks to local guides. Ramona was welcoming and so accommodating. Excellent stay!

Nov 2021We had a great time. Wonderful clean house with lots of character. The host was very helpful recommending places to shop and dine. Westport is a pretty town with lots of hiking trails and places to sit and enjoy the river.

Oct 2022Very lovely, warm and comfortable place to spend a few days in the beautiful Village of Westport. Host was terrific and the location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Walking distance to shops.and restaurants and the waterfront. Rooms were beautiful and all amenities were there. Definitely will stay there again.

Oct 2022Very clean, nicely decorated and well kept. Only issue was the creaky floors (it’s an old house) and the very creaky, noisy mattress/bed that kind of prevented a good restful sleep.

Sep 2022The Stray Cat was a lovely place beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home provided. It was also close to nearby attractions in the county including hiking, waterways, as well as restaurants and shops.

Aug 2022The Stray Cat Inn was a wonderful place for a weeks vacation. Ramona and Fred were fantastic hosts. Westport is a town with everything you could possibly need within a very short walking g distance of the Inn. Highly, highly recommend both The Stray Cat and Westport for a wonderful relaxing holiday. We would definitely recommend and hope to return someday.

Oct 2022The Stray Cat Inn was a good spot in the middle of town, a stone's throw away from everything. The beds were comfortable and the place is well maintained. Ramona was very communicative with all the details and we very much enjoyed having the snacks she left us when one of us wasn't on the same food schedule. Head's up for folks who do not see it in the pics, the lounge area is best for 2 people (4 people max) and doesn't have a full kitchen so if the weather doesn't allow you to enjoy the beautiful flowery front garden or you are planning to spend a lot of time indoors, keep that mind.

Sep 2021The room I stayed in was large and so comfortable. Lovely sitting area and modern bathroom. The Inn was very clean and the hostess and host available when needed. It had everything I needed if I chose to prepare a meal for myself. The location was perfect with ample parking on site. Will definitely stay again.

Aug 2022Ramona was a great host because she was very kind and it was easy to communicate with her. She left the property so beautiful and clean for us. We enjoyed a lot our stay there and would recommand to any guest.

Aug 2021Ramona and the property were both awesome and I have told many friends about this wonderful place.Nothing to do with the great place, but I did find booking with VRbo frustrating and waited for 45 minute to get help only to be told an agent would phone back later which they never did. Romana confirmed the booking and it was a great tip. When we go back, we will stay at The Stray Cat Inn- they welcomed our dogs, but he place was so clean, you wouldn't know they let dogs stay except for the cute dog bowl and dish they had laid out. Thanks

May 2022Property is well maintained, clean, and rather quaint but also supplied with all the features of an hotel. Beds were very comfy and we enjoyed the sitting area, although it was a bit small. Waterfront was nearby and shopping and restaurants were within walking distance. All in all, we will definitely return.

Nov 2021I cannot say enough about our time at the Stray Cat other then it was too short. The efficiency unit was well stocked from plates cutlery wine glasses and a corkscrew too. Spotless convection toaster over, which was perfect for re-heating the roasted veggies and goat cheese I brought. An AMAZING coffee system and great teas as well. Little snacks that we took full advantage of. You need to bring NOTHING, Romona thinks of everything, housecoats, shampoo, blow dryer, games, lots of towels and pillows, etxra blankets. I could go on. Communication was effortless and prompt, we even enjoyed a nice conversation one evening. I wish I could book this place long term.
