Mar 2020We were in Matarangi for a wedding so unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy as much of the house as we would have liked to. House was immaculately tidy and had everything you would need for a stay at the beach. The bbq looked epic! Wish we could have used it. Perfect location. Walking distance to shops and beach. Jul 2020We went away for a birthday and ended up having a lovely, relaxing weekend. The property is very near the beach and perfect for both small friendship groups, and families. Lots of toys and books, and a nice outdoor space. Easy drive to New Chums beach and a shop for groceries just a 5 minute walk away. Weiterlesen

Jan 2021We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The bach is equipped with everything you could possibly think of, making it a home away from home. Located 200m from the store and a 2 minute bike ride to the beach, we were in and out all day without a hassle.
Communication with the owner was exceptional.
It’s valid to note that there is excavation going on over the road Monday to Friday which makes the house and air extremely dusty.
Apart from this and once excavation has finished, we would recommend this bach to anyone. Weiterlesen

Aug 2021We loved our stay - a wonderfully equipped home away from home. Clean and tidy with all the things you could wish for to keep you busy rain or shine. And if that’s not your thing then grab a book or a movie and snuggle on the couch. A short walk to the shops and cafe and a short drive to more. The beach was wonderful and we all walked for hours. It was especially wonderful that we could bring our dog Roxy along. We certainly hope to return !! Weiterlesen

Feb 2021This was our first domestic holiday as a family & we absolutely loved it. Matarangi was the little slice of paradise we needed. The house had everything & more we needed from games to amazing outdoor lounging area. So thankful we were able to bring our big dog too.
Only thing we would mention is the TV signal would drop out & the floor boards are squeaky apart from that I couldn't fault the house.
Loved the Maori touches too.
We will defiantly be coming back. Walking distant to the beach. 4square & liquor store practically across the road ( They do massive ice-creams).

Feb 2020This is an amazing Bach it has wonderful indoor outdoor flow and so many different seating options inside and out. The BBQ is amazing and the only place we cooked. We had a toddler with us and he loved climbing up and down the decks and stairs it is very secure and safe. We had three generations staying and everyone had an amazing holiday. Apr 2022This bach is so well equiped with everything you need, we had amazing weather but plenty here to do if it's raining, big screen tv, lots of places to relax, books galore and outdoor kitchen BBQ all made our stay very comfortable. Sean was a great host and communication is excellent.
Bonus for us is our dogs had a great time too, the fully fenced section is secure and safe, would certainly recommend for a Coromandel stay.
Matarangi beach is beautiful our only regret was having to leave!

Feb 2021Sean’s Bach is really good, great location close to the supermarket and restaurant and walking distance to the beach. Great indoor outdoor flow, fantastic outdoor kitchen , tidy bedrooms, lots of games to play, nice outdoor furniture. We all had a great time at the Bach. Would definitely go back. Couple of suggestions, some nails on the deck need to be redone, bit dangerous for pets and kids and the bikes need a bit of attention. We had a bit of check in hassle due to the earlier guests but Sean’s communication was prompt and he even gave us discount for this. Weiterlesen

Jul 2020Really enjoyed our stay here. The property was spacious, lots of comfy spaces to relax and even better we were able to safely have our dog with us as it's fully fenced. The DVD and book collection is an added bonus especially for mid winter rainy holiday days. Would definitely stay here again. Dec 2021If you were rained in at the beach this would be the place to stay. Xbox, Wii, wifi plus all the novels you could ever want! So relaxing that it is hard to tear yourself away to go to the beach! Have stayed at many properties in Matarangi since 2013 and this would have to be the best. Property was very close to the beach and we got to bring our dogs which was a great plus. Good communication from Sean.
