Unser Ferienhaus ist von der Planungs- und Genehmigungsbehörde der Stadt und des Landkreises Honolulu lizenziert. Das auf den Fotos sichtbare Zimmer des Eigentümers im zweiten Stock ist während Ihres Aufenthalts immer frei und abgeschlossen. Sie haben das ganze Eigentum für sich.
Alle Zimmer haben Meerblick und sind wunderschön im hawaiianischen Stil eingerichtet. Das Haus bietet Platz für vier bis sechs Gäste. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und zwei Einzelbetten, die im zweiten Schlafzimmer in ein Kingsize-Bett umgewandelt werden können. Die Höhle / TV-Raum verfügt über ein Queen-Size-Schlafsofa (Queen-Size-Aero-Bett ebenfalls erhältlich). Hauptbadezimmer mit separater Dusche und Badewanne. Eine zusätzliche Dusche, Toilette und Waschbecken befindet sich in der Garage. Die Garagendusche ist praktisch, wenn Sie vom Strand kommen. Feb 2022While this home is older (built in the 50’s), it was perfect for a North Shore vacation. Everything you could think of was waiting for us, including surfers, whales, crashing waves, and beautiful sunsets! Jun 2020We travel to the islands about twice a year & love the North Shore of Oahu. We booked this property with Sandi & we couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot! The location is in the North Shore of Oahu about 10 min drive to town. We did not turn on the TV one time while we were there as the view of the surfers, turtles & dolphins were all the entertainment you would need. The beach is beautiful white sand & a great surf spot out front. The water is a little strong but a very short walk (3 min) up the beach it's a little calmer. The large glass doors that open up completely gave a lovely indoor outdoor feeling. There is an ocean view bedroom with a queen size bed & a 2nd bedroom that also has partial ocean views with 2 twins or a king bed that they put together for us. There is 1 full bathroom between the 2 rooms & an additional toilet & shower in the garage. There is also a small den that can be used as a bedroom as well. The kitchen had everything you would need as well as an outside charcoal bbq. Our friend is a chef & she didn't see anything that was missing. Linda is the lady that cleans the rental & she was available to go to Costco for us which was very appreciated. Both Sandi & Linda couldn't have been kinder or more gracious & helpful. Mar 2022We rented this property for 5 nights. Sandi was supper communicative months before we got here and throughout our stay. The home was very relaxing and extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was very well equipped and when you cook in it, you can watch the ocean as you work! Mornings were incredible. A cup of Kona coffee in bed watching the waves and surfers from huge picture windows. It feels like you are camping right in the ocean. The family room has a huge full wall of windows from floor to ceiling. They open up to screens that allow all of the ocean’s smells and breezes to enter the room with out the risk of critters.
The house was close to so many things that kept us busy. A few minutes to Waimea Valley, a few minutes to many beaches, and a few minutes to Haleiwa surf town. Lots of fun stores to shop through and Matsumoto’s famous shave ice. On our last day, we followed the map left by Sandi to find the sea turtles. And did we ever find them! Gorgeous creatures playing in the big waves. We watched them for hours.
Although the waves were huge at this time, there is a little sheltered spot where there is a sea rock bed and we had fun cooling off in the shallow water. I’m the evenings we were treated to gorgeous sunset views and then, when all was dark, amazing star shows!
This house was exactly as described, casual and not fancy, but still absolutely perfect. Some of the best days of travel we have ever had!

Jan 2022We arrived at Sandi’s home in the evening and everything seemed in order. The home was clean and larger than I expected. The real surprise was opening up the backyard doors and stepping out to see the ocean right there! It’s amazing! In addition to this amazing backyard, the home is in a perfect location. A short drive to Haleiwa to the south and a short drive to many other great beaches to the north. Such a great property and highly recommend. In addition Sandi is great. Mar 2022We are full of the Aloha Spirit after a wonderful week at Hale Moana, Sandi's fantastic beach house. We have stayed at vacation houses through VRBO across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom and found this one to be one of our most relaxing respites.
The house is perfectly situated right on the North Shore and we enjoyed evening sunsets on the lawn watching surfers, while I practiced my ukulele. Since we were there in the winter, the surfers and whales provided hours of entertainment during our relaxing week. Hale Moana was just about an hour from our adventures on the Kaneohe Sandbar, snorkeling at Haunauma Bay, and site seeing at Kualoa Ranch, filming location for Jumanji and Jurassic Park. We also enjoyed quick visits to the nearby Waimea Valley garden and waterfall, and farm tour stops at the Macadamia Nut Farm in Haleiwa, the Wailua Chocolate and Coffee Estate, the KoHana Agricole Rum Distillery, and the Hawaii Queen Bees Apairy in Wailua.
The house itself has everything we needed, including coffee filters and paper products. The kitchen is well equipped with a strong blender we used to make morning smoothies from local fruits. There are plenty of beach towels and we made use of the beach chairs, snorkel fins, and the coolers.
One of the best things about this house is waking up to the ocean right outside the master bedroom, making Hawaiian coffee in bed an even better treat. The doors to the living room also open right up to spectacular ocean views. It was an added bonus to have a small garage to park off the road. Our small SUV rental (an Infinity QX60) fit in the garage very carefully.
Sandi is an excellent host and you will count yourself lucky if you get to book a week at Hale Moana. Weiterlesen

Because it is nestled in between 2 popular beach parks, you generally have the beach to yourself as most people situate themselves close to parking. Aug 2019This is exactly where I wanted to be for my first trip to Hawaii. The house is quaint and clean, but most importantly the views are incredible.
The beach itself was a gem. The snorkeling just to the right of the property was perfect for our 9 year old. We even swam into a few sea turtles.
The only problem we had was the heat. The smaller room has a portable air conditioner, so it stayed really cool in there. But, the master bedroom got a bit hot while the sun was still out. My suggestion is to go to the beach ASAP and stay out till the sun sets.
Overall, I could not have been happier.

Apr 2020This home is in a perfect location to view beautiful sunsets and to have the beach mostly to yourself. We really enjoyed our stay here. I came with my 5 children aged 20 down to 10. Mar 2020The home provided us a perfect spot to enjoy the North Shore. Every night the waves crashed on the beach outside and while the sound was overwhelming at first, by the end of our 9 night stay we were lulled to sleep by it and miss it now that we are back home. The home is dated but we found it charming. The location while on a busy and noisy road, is perfect for going into the village not far away and for seeing many natural attractions like turtles swimming and hiking. Every room of the home has a view of the ocean.
Admittedly, there are issues- the road noise and the home is dated. Truly, those bits fell away when rainbows, whale sightings, sea turtles swimming nearby, full horizon sunsets from the backyard — are daily occurrences. Mar 2022Location, Location, Location! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed or time here. We have waited for a long time to be able to book this place in paradise and it finally happened. I honestly do not remember what else we had planned to do while here, all other plans were dropped when we checked in and saw the view. We stayed put and just relaxed, loved the very relaxed feel of the house, loved listening to the Ocean. Property was very clean and well maintained, very comfortable and inviting. May 2021It’s a nice, older, classic beach house literally a few steps from the sand for quick access to snorkeling or surfing or just relaxing. It has everything you need for beach trips including chairs, towels, umbrellas, snorkeling gear and sand castle building parts. You can’t beat the view through the wall of windows in the living room/kitchen areas and one of the bedrooms. There is A/C in one bedroom and one other room at the other end of the house but the afternoons can get pretty warm in the main part of the house. The main highway thru the North Shore is as close to the front of the house as the beach is on the back of the house which brings quite a bit of noise especially if you open all the windows to cool the house off. Just things to consider before your trip. The houses location is right between the two main beach areas and towns for getting food and people watching so the location is hard to beat. Overall it was a really nice place to stay for a week and the owners are quick to respond with any answers to questions we had. Weiterlesen

Sep 2021I spent my staycation at Sandi’s beautiful oasis chillaxing. It was wonderful to get away from Honolulu for a week. I never left the immaculate property except the first evening to pick up dinner from Haleiwa Joe’s. The views and constant lull of the waves & sunsets were all I needed. Sandi was prompt to follow up on an issue with the security alarm and all the information was available within the detailed paperwork she provides. She strives to please her guests! May 2022House is cozy. The cathedral style ceiling and panoramic view of the ocean on the living room is so relaxing. This place is a live Hawaiian postcard. You are also treated with a wonderful natural phenomena of sunsets and moonsets (if you happen to be staying on a full moon) plus a blanket of stars. This is what this place is all about, it gives you an amazing and elevated experience.

Jul 2020Double sliding doors opening to the beautiful ocean, a pretty decent yard to lounge and BBQ, a short 5 minute walk to fish filled tide pools, the beach to go crab hunting at night, surf spots nearby, and a calm (summer time) swimming area is everything we needed for this past weekends perfect family staycation.
Not to mention, the property was CLEAN in comparison to all the properties I’ve stayed at. We did not feel any sand or stickiness on the floors, or see dust! The bedsheets felt and smelled clean too!
Overall, our family was very happy and loved our stay at Hale Moana. Sandra has very detailed instructions from checking in, checking out, and places to eat! We also appreciated her card, the coffee, and bottle of wine as a gift! So thoughtful of her! We really hope she’ll let us stay at her place again! Aloha! Weiterlesen

Oct 2020Can't beat the view and direct access to the sand. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every night from the backyard. The outdoor shower was a plus for rinsing off after swimming in the ocean.
The house itself and furnishings were a bit outdated for our personal taste. It felt like we were staying in someone's home (lots of personal decor, knickknacks, and old bedding and towels), rather than a vacation rental. For the amount of money we spent, we would have preferred something more modern. The main bathroom shower was very small and second bathroom was located in the garage (detached from home), which was not as convenient for us. The house gets very hot and humid during the day. Be prepared for lots of noise (ocean waves and traffic from the road), when all the windows are open. Getting in an out of the garage is a tight squeeze, so larger vehicles would have a tough time.
