We spent 4 days in the house while hiking the redwood forest trails and kayaking the Smith river. The location was perfect and the short walk to the beach and lighthouse were an added bonus. The only complaint is that it was hot on 2 days and the house is not air conditioned as stated in the listing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very clean & confortable house! The owner was very responsive & helpful! Great spot for kids or dogs with a nice Park across the street.

We loved staying for 3 days and will return, nice comfortable and clean home. Beds were kind of hard but the rest of the home made up for it. Loved the master bedroom and walk in shower, really nice. Our dog loved the fenced in backyard.

We loved everything about our stay! Awesome rental, close to the beach, basketball court and playground across the street, and Maria is so accommodating!! 😃

We had a very comfortable stay at the Taylor house. The location was perfect, within walking distance to a rocky beach, lookout and playground. We took day trips to the beach, the marina, and the Redwoods. The space and amenities were perfect for my family, including 2 toddlers, to relax and play. The master bedroom was comfortable and the master bath was great with the double shower. We enjoyed our stay!

We found this home to be perfect for us! It was clean, well stocked, spacious and a great location. We walked to the beach several times for sunsets and low time exploring. This home is also perfect for the Redwood National Parks -- we spent four days exploring the parks with ease. Thanks for letting us use your home!

We are a family of four and enjoyed a comfortable stay at this property. There is a park right across the street that we visited every day. Great food, lovely streets to bike around, and ocean views. Great location for a trip to the redwoods.

We absolutely loved our time here and will return again. The house was sparkling clean, very peaceful, and in a perfect location. We would love to see lounge chairs added to the back deck, but otherwise we had no complaints.

Was a wonderful place to stay. Clean, nice and quiet—except for a storm which is beyond anyone’s control. Two dishwashers! Because of the COVID situation and restrictions, I would say that of everything, we enjoyed the fireplace the most. Was just so cozy and I had somehow overlooked the fireplace on the listing so was a great surprise!

Visited Crescent City area for brief Smith River fishing trip. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms (loved the walk-in shower), but the kitchen is the highlight. Given covid we do most of our cooking in house and this kitchen has it all. Maria was really responsive when we needed help navigating the entertainment system. Park across the street was great for exercising the dog.

Very comfortable home. The home has a nice porch and fenced yard. It is walking distance to the beach and close to stores. The neighborhood is quiet and it has a nice park across the street. The owner was great to work with.

Very clean and included many amenities. The Master Bathroom was amazing. Location was wonderful with a short walk to view the ocean and sunset.

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in! The beds were comfortable and it was immaculately clean. It was spacious & the kitchen was well stocked. We spent 4 days exploring the incredible Redwoods and so enjoyed the ocean with it’s lighthouse & magnificent sunsets. Maria was easy to communicate with and very responsive. If I had to find cons, it would be that there wasn’t a tea kettle to warm water on the stove and the couch smelled a bit like dog. It was a dog friendly rental, and the yard was nice. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

This was an absolutely great place to spend the week with my husband, our 5 years daughter, and our 2 dogs. We spent the days at the park across the street, walked to the beach multiple times everyday, spent time in the Redwood forest and enjoyed our family time at the home and in the large backyard. This was a great stay for our family of four, and our small dog enjoyed the backyard. The house was perfectly comfortable and clean and well stocked with towels and linens.

This rental was a great place & met the majority of our needs. All of the rooms felt spacious & our kids enjoyed the backyard & deck. The dish soap, dishwasher pods, & kitchen trash bags were empty on our arrival & we had to reach out to get those filled but they were quick to run over & provide them. The master shower was FANTASTIC!!! Just be aware that the plumbing is backwards so the side that said cold was hot & hot was cold. I would also suggest that the window inside the master shower be replaced with frosted glass instead of clear. It felt a bit weird knowing that if the neighbors really wanted to see in while showering they can. The sliding barn door to the master bathroom needs a soft close added to the top. Super easy to grab from Amazon & install. This would help with the door not slamming shut or rolling back when you want it to stay open. The sliding door to the hall bathroom shower would not stay closed it kept rolling back so my entire family ended up using the master shower....they also enjoyed the master shower. The mattress for the pull out bed in the living room needs to be replaced!! We were unable to use it because the mattress is SUPER uncomfortable, thin & flimsy. Even my small children were complaining that they could feel the bars through the mattress. If your only sleeping 4 people this is a fantastic option. If the mattress in the pull out couch was replaced with a nice mattress it would be great for 6. With the few fixes mentioned above this place really was great!
