Wasn’t there long enough to review most things were closed due to virus

very clean, attentive staff, good gym and pool.

The blind in the bathroom is see through and the air conditioning unit is very dated and blows straight onto the head end of the bed and can’t be adjusted.

I booked this hotel online through Booking.com after checking the hotel website which showed it had a pool and gym. I paid the night before my arrival on March 14. It was only after getting the key card that the front desk staff told me they've closed the gym and pool for disinfection. I said they should have said that on their website and on other booking sites because now I feel cheated. I said that if I knew they wouldn't allow guests to use the pool and gym, then I could've booked other hotels instead. Today, March 15, an American guest told me the hotel allowed him to use the gym. This was after he said he told the hotel staff he would demand for a discount for his stay. He said this to me while he was at the pool! I told the lady at guest services about this, and complained as well, hoping I would also finally be allowed to use the gym and pool. Sadly, the hotel refused. I feel discriminated against. At one point, the lady told me the gym was "still being disinfected". When I told her I've just been to the gym to check the supposed ongoing disinfection, she changed her mind and said "the disinfection is already done". Despite it being done, the hotel was still adamant it won't let me use the gym or pool. I also pointed out that their practice is strange because there are also people dining at the restaurant and they have not disinfected that. I know because I had meals there. So I said this is unfair, I paid money to have access to the gym and pool, as advertised on the hotel website. I said I need compensation for this, even a discount, or some refund to what I already paid. To which the lady gave that typical disappointing "There's nothing we can do about it." I said that of course they can do something about it. The gym has already been disinfected. They can either let guests use the gym and pool, or they can compensate guests for this false advertising.
