Wonderful roof terrace
The occupation forces in Jerusalem.

Wonderful place! Top location, amazing view, clean and nice rooms, very polite staff, reasonable price. We strongly recommend it!
Good hotel with amazing view from terrace Aug 2021
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a very good experience. Thanks a lot to Arbet, he helped us in everything! The hotel is in the Old city, 6 minutes from Damascus Gate with paid parking. Please note that it is impossible to park a car in the Old city. Downstairs in the hotel there is an old hall with a beautiful painting on the wall, where breakfast is served. Upstairs there is a terrace with an amazing view! Please note that there is no kettle, refrigerator or stove in the room. Overall, we enjoyed this hotel and will come back here again.
Will certainly be back!Sep 2021
We are a father and 3 kids. We had a great stay at Hashimi! Our room was lovely, the view exceptional. Staff was friendly, and we felt welcome, safe and relaxed. The highlight was certainly the roof balcony. I loved the location, a perfect base for exploring the old city. Just be prepared to haul your luggage a bit.
The adjacent "family restaurant" was perfect for our humble needs.
The roof bar was closed for the duration of our stay (even if only for soft drinks, still would be nice).
Hotel is a family owned in the heart of old Jerusalem but the cost of stay is higher to the service provided by the hoteApr 2022
view of the Dome at the back
Rooms are very small and uncomfortable with for number of persons occupying a single room. meal provided for suhur were limited and not enough choice

Very good and safe location. Hotel services exceptional.May 2022
Very friendly and attentive staff. Very clean hotel. Superb location. Fantastic breakfast.
Classy comfort and authentic Palestinian Arabic style !Jul 2022
This was the second time we stayed here and this time I chose purposefully for the comfort of my elderly parents I was travelling with. Recent updates made it even more welcoming than previously. Most helpful was the ability to hire a “golf car Tuk Tuk” that took my disabled mother from the door of the hotel to the door of the AlAqsa mosque. All this made it so easy for us to visit this beautiful old city.
Cold water / tea and coffee in the lobby adds a layer of comfort.
1. Advice about it booking an airport shuttle was not very clear..
2. Some of the staff do not seem very happy - especially the dining room. it’s easier to pop outside to the many restaurants and bakeries for food !
SuperbFeb 2023
This was an Arabian style hotel in the middle of Old Jerusalem. It felt like a time capsule in the middle of an ancient city, Indiana Jones style. Clean, comfortable, well kept.
Rooms were a little small but fine.

This hotel is right in the old city. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic but they do the job.

The view and the location! My room was upgraded at the checkin and view was just breathtaking. All the personel was extremely nice, I did enjoy simple breakfast buffet as well. Hotel has a stunning rooftop. The hotel is a bit outdated, but it did not bother me. I felt very welcome and taken care of as single female traveller.

The rooftop terrace with the sweeping views over the old city is fantastic. We often brought our dinner up here and my kids played games while we just enjoyed the view and reflected on everything. Really great (covered) roof terrace.
Amazing!!Feb 2022
The receptionist was very accommodating, room was wonderful...they even let us wait on their rooftop while waiting for our friends...
And the location could not get anywhere better☺️☺️☺️☺️

Mr. Abdulrahman was above and beyond.
The unique location of the hotel made my stay very memorable.Jul 2022
The property was definitely unique in decor and location. The staff were kind and I never felt unsafe. The view from the roof garden was really lovely.
I did not realize when I booked the hotel that it was in the middle of the Palestinian quarter of the old city inside the market and the nearest parking was a long walk away close to the damascus gate.
A lot hair on the sheetsJan 2023
The location was very good really close to Via Dolorosa

Exceptional and memorable.Mar 2022
The location of this hotel is perhaps the best in Jerusalem. It is right next to Via Dolorasa and the Aqsa mosque. The panoramic views of the entire Jerusalem from the terrace and garden are breathtaking. You can just hang out in the beautiful terrace with a cup of tea in the night and enjoy. The staff was very helpful and took care of us very well. Abid and the owners are very good people who are passionate about their work and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Will be staying here again and again.
Since the hotel is right in the heart of the old city, it was hard to drag our luggage over the cobble stoned pathways since the taxi could not go further and dropped us off at the Jaffa gate. However after our checkout, Abid and the owner made arrangements to get our luggage sent to the gate. We got outstanding service and gracious hospitality.
Location and rooftop are awesome! The cleaning staff left dirty sheets and supplies in halls.Aug 2022
The location of this hotel is awesome. It's right in the thick of it all. Super close to shopping, delicious food, and most of what Jerusalem has to offer. It also has a very elegant lobby, and the staff was helpful.
The comforters on the bed didn't seem clean. The pillows were very stiff. I travel with my own pillow, so no big deal for me, but my husband found them uncomfortable. The a/c also didn't work at first, but it turns out they have to activate it downstairs at the front desk. Even then it was cool, but not as cool as all the other hotels we stayed in. The cleaning staff left dirty towels and sheets and cleaning supplies littering the hallways for most of our stay.
SuperbApr 2021
The Location of the Hotel is in the old city of Jerusalem and you can explore the old city by walk. The shops are so closer to the hotel.
ExceptionalNov 2021
The location of the hotel is exceptional - in the center of the old city, near every important landmark in Jerusalem! The hotel is also right in the middle of a lively market, which is great. The view from the rooftop, which can be accessed 24/7 as a lounging space, is also exceptional, maybe the best in the entire town. We are also very happy with the room we got and with the service, the owner and staff were all very nice.
We were sorry to see that two cockatiels (small parrots) are basically used as a decoration in the first floor's desk/lounging room. As pet bird owners ourselves, it was very saddening for us to see these two birds not being cared for with as much attention as they should receive (owners should be taking them out of the cage, interacting with them, covering their cage at night, which they did not do...). But aside from this, we are very satisfied of our stay.
Probably one of the better options if on a tight budget.Aug 2022
The location is great, staff is friendly and rooftop view unbeatable.
Room didn’t have an outfacing window and had a damp smell, the beds were rock hard, there was rust in the showers and there’s zero sound isolation. Despite all this we really did enjoy our stay.
ExceptionalMar 2022
The location is great. It is inside the old city close to all important locations of Muslims & christians. Besides that, there Damascus gate is just 3-4 mins walking distance. Breakfast is good & healthy. Staff is very helpful. Hotel is very clean & at last but not least: the amazing rooftop. The view from the rooftop terrace is wonderful. This is a family owned hotel
A nice conservative hotel in the heart of Jerusalem :)Aug 2022
The location is great, and the hotel has a nice rooftop. The hotel room wasn't super clean, but it was ok. The bathroom was big and clean. The deco wasn't bad, it was a bit old-timy but we actually kinda liked it.
Well... The hotel is very conservative and that's just a bit different for us... Breakfast was acceptable, but we would not eat there either.
authentic local hotel in the Old Town with an amazing view from their rooftop terraceApr 2022
the location in the Old walled city of Jerusalem is simply prime, I loved the rooftop terrace with a splendid view on the Dome of the Rocks and the Al Aqsa Mosque
- the breakfast buffet had a rich selection, was yummy and was served in the basement which had a local / historic feeling
- tea was available throughout the day
room was rather small, basic and noisy, the hotel was poorly sound-proofed and I was woken up by other hotel guests smashing the doors early in the morning.
- there were a lot of very conservatively dressed muslim hotel guests so western tourists might not be feeling at ease seeing fully veiled women but hey, it is a very holy city, for Christianity, Judaism and Islam
New Year in the Old Jerusalem Jan 2022

the hotel offers a wonderful terrace at the 4th floor with a breathtaking view of the old city of Gerusalem. the staff was very kind and helpful. the place was quiet and clean. we loved it and would definitely recommend it!
if you have heavy luggages it’s not easy to reach the place, but if you ask the staff in advance they will arrange a transport for you.

The hotel is well located and it is in walking distance from restaurants, shopping area and the prayer services.
