Jan 2023The owners and their daughter were all extremely welcoming and had no problems dealing with any little queries that we had. The staff were also all very kind and attentive.
The food in the restaurant was else very nice for both breakfast and dinner!
We went for a 3-day snowboarding trip and the lodge is next door to the slope, so walking there and back every day was super easy.
And last but certainly not least is Jimmy, the lodge cat!
I'll be back in the summer to take him for a walk through the forest!

Maybe the dining room could use an extra table to squeeze everybody in, but we were more that comfortable sitting downstairs to eat in the lounge room. The young gentleman that waited on our table was very cheery too and had no problem running up and down the stairs to bring us our orders!

Feb 2023The Madarao Lodge was outstanding! The legends Mark & Abby with their staff provided great food, modern room & showering facilities, and the warmest hospitality ever. Jimmy the cat was also great entertainment!

Jan 2022The hosts were great, and the house was very cozy. They have delicious homemade dinners with all kinds of drinks and good breakfast as well. The hotel is pet-friendly so we met a few cute dogs. There was a heavy snowfall on our last day but Mark helped all his guests get to the slopes. Thank you!

Perfect Après-ski Property
Jan 2021Everything. Mark and Mayuko run a mountain lodge by which all other properties should be judged. The comfort of the rooms was amazing, the hot water abundant, the restaurant food sensational, the atmosphere cozy, and the staff incredibly hospitable. The powder on Madarao was insane, to boot. I cannot recommend a stay here more highly. Book now, treasure the memories later!

Jan 2023Absolutely friendly owners and were very helpful during our stay. The location was amazing as it was 3 minute walk away to the Madarao ski resort. The beds were comfy, the showers and toilets were clean and it was convenient that there were multiple toilets. The breakfast served was great and they also had a nice selection of meals for dinner.
A washing machine and a dryer was available too at the property. Overall great experience staying here and Mark and Mayuko were very pleasant.
This is probably a very minor inconvenience but I wish the showers had stronger pressure, as well as maybe a rack placed higher to hold the soap and shampoo.

Feb 2023Abby & Mark are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome in their lodge. Nothing is an inconvenience. With one of the best locations in town, great food and plenty of comfort, Madarao Mountain Lodge has to be the best value in town!
