Wyndham Garden Manama

We had a few problems at the beginning of our stay but once those were sorted to a degree we enjoyed our 6 night stay. We stayed on an extra night and the Manager very kindly gave us the additional night at a very good rate. Many thanks for this. We ate at the Indian and Italian Restaurants and the meals were fabulous. On the last night we had a Night Cap at the Roof Top Bar which was lovely even thought it was very hot. The Club Deluxe Rooms are lovely and big and comfortable. The toiletries are of nice quality and generous. Breakfast was good and after the first couple of mornings we got used to having a ' Personal Shopper' who served the food items for us. Variety was good.

We were very disappointed to be told on arrival that the Club Lounge was closed at the moment due to Covid and that we would have to have evening drinks in our Room. The first couple of evenings were difficult as the Gentleman taking drinks orders did not understand English that well and the service was slow. We ordered our drinks at 5pm and they arrived at 5.45pm. From Sunday onwards the service improved. We felt that we should have been told about the Club Lounge being closed when we made our booking. This would have prevented unhappiness when we arrived. We found the Pool rather shabby.

Water kept in the room was already used. Also, there was disturbance all through the night in the corridor outside the room. Location is ok with a mall nearby, Staff are generally ok.

Housekeeping, water was not replenished. Shower was clogged with water.

Very good, polite, helpful, and efficient staff. Excellent food and very generous portions. Plenty of places to eat within the hotel on various floors, staffed by great chefs, and floor staff. Loved the Italian, and the roof top, restaurants. Location in center of the city was good. Great views of the city and harbour.

Really just a few minor issues, I would have liked to have sat outside on the balcony, but,..The balcony access door was locked for control of the Air con. Having arrived on a very busy weekend for the Hotel, the night was alive with banging doors and people shouting in the corridors into the early morning hours. Not good for sleeping. This is not really the fault of the hotel, I should have requested a quietier room. The lifts' constant chiming was audible throughout the night, prehaps this could be muted after a set time. The times advertised for the opening of the Restaurants did not seem to tie up with actual opening times, For example the Italian restuarant was advertised to open at 5, but opened at 7, not a big deal, but in the end worth waiting for.

The hotel is wonderful as usual with all the services in it.. I have stayed at the hotel many times and it is always sparkling, clean and high service.. specifically the manager Margarita.. Thank you
