The bed was by far one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The lighting in the room was fabulous as was all the mirrors. The service was very good and the food at breakfast was enjoyable. Great location and easy to find.

Whilst I had a lovely time, there are just a few modernizations/updates that I would have appreciated. I.e. the finishings like the bathroom grouting. There was no bubble bath for the bath! Too much plastic being used for the room amenities, i.e. mini shampoo bottles. Also, the room service food was not worth it at all! I was solely disappointed especially as my prawns were not cleaned and you could see the dirt. Whilst the hotel manager tried to make up for this by sending me a fruit plate and a cake slice, I still found the meal on my bill at the end of my stay.

Lock aircondition degree for Vietnamese only, cannot change level, fan was not workable..they did not clean room before we stayed..Have to move our big luggages from parking area to reception desk by ourselves..we know this time is long holidays in Vietnam..but if do not have enough staff to work for full services, should close for long holidays of Vietnam, would be better

It is hard to keep the same hotel service through Covid and lock-downs. All hotel ratings on Booking.com are legacy ratings from before Covid. So there is always a risk that it may be a miss. But Indochine have made all the effort to maintain the same service that their customers have enjoyed 2 years ago! The property has just reopened in April and had very few customers still. Never the less the welcoming, the cleanness, the breakfast, the customer care were exceptional. We wanted connected rooms and staff advised us how to properly re book so that they can give us connected rooms.

The SPA has not still open but I hope as number of tourist goes up it will be there soon. The outdoor pool was great though.

Indochine palace was a lovely hotel. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was spacious with a wonderful view of Hue. The gym was great and so was the pool. The music played in the lobby at night was lovely.

I love the atmosphere of the hotel. You can feel it’s age, but at same time the hotel is well upkeep so it is not a problem. the best however is it’s staff. They take care about details (on the evening would would come to smooth the bedding and so on). They are eager to help you with so natural way, so despite I usually don’t do so, I was asking them to help me organize local excursions and so on. the dining room is amazing too. colonial style, delicious food and people.

I can’t find anything to complain.

Good location, spacious room, reasonably well equipped gym.

Overall, the hotel was a little dated,lifts smelled a little fusty, as did corridors. Towels given out for use of gym were yellow and smelled of deep fat fryer (is this some kind of joke, perpetrated by gym staff?). Cleaning staff guaranteed to wake you up from 8am as they go about their work - whilst shouting at each other down the corridors. Breakfast; juices were of poor quality, and the eggs “to order”, well - that’s a lottery. Took three attempts to get over easy without an absolutely solid yolk. I gave up in the end, only to be presented with a passable attempt when I’d finished eating. By no means my worst hotel stay ever - but like so many establishments in Vietnam, seems to be run according to the needs of the regime, rather than the needs of guests. Overall a disappointment. A shame because some of the staff were really nice and seemed to genuinely care about our stay (I’d like to mention one staff member especially who was really lovely - I don’t recall her name but believe she was the young lady who referred my stay issues to Mr Lecluse, she is an asset to the hotel).

Fabulous hotel! Very very helpful staff and beautiful property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The staff organised a wonderful day out for us to see the highlights of Hue. Our rooms were spotless and well appointed. Highly recommend!

A second key would’ve been useful and we had a couple of issues with the key not working.

Pool was out of bounds due to a wedding taking place. To be fair the hotel had sought an alternative arrangement at another hotel....but that's not the same is it

Entertainment in the room

Breakfast is good, Bun Bo is delicious Clean water that I can drink directly from the faucet. Good practice for sustainability. Friendly Staff, they smiled to me all the time, and check my feeling of stay upon check-out, this shows hospitality.

Wifi is a little bit slow and unable sometimes, but this is fixable and the hotel can fix soon.

Breakfast fit for a king. Spacious, grand hotel with generously sized rooms. Staff out of this world .. so helpful and friendly, let by example from Le Grand Boss Philippe Lecluse, who we had the total pleasure to talk to. A true gentleman. We loved the live classical evening music, with a post dinner cocktail.. it was marvellous.
