Jun 2022What a fantastic boutique hotel! It starts with the wonderful staff who made me feel so much at home in the short time I was there. I was offered a delicious drink on arrival while waiting for my room.
My room was decorated with so much love and detail from the furniture to the accessories in the bathroom. Really cute and classy.
Lunch was excellent at the restaurant. The staff took time to explain to me what was on offer that day and made the wine recommendations. I don't speak French but all was explained in English in the most patient way possible.
The proximity to the center/walking distance to everything you need to see is of great value. It was quiet and I slept like a cat. Very comfortable beds and the Air conditioner worked perfectly.

The breakfast is the only let down here. While Lunch and dinner features a brilliant menu, the breakfast could use some creativity here. This is the only weak spot of this brilliant hotel.

everything is closed and hard to find restaurants so it was a bit deserted.
Central and charming hotel in historic house
Oct 2022Very nice and charming little hotel, very welcoming receptionist and well placed in the city. Within walking distance from pedestrian area.
The rooms were a comfortable size and airy.
With an additional Euro 30.- we could keep one of the 3 booked room for a late checkout (1PM)
We had ordered 4 breakfasts the evening before for the next morning (served between 06:45 and 09:45) and even though we showed up at 08:30 the breakfast buffet was almost empty, plates and cups and napkins were missing…The waiter then filled a bit up and provided for the missing dishes but it didn’t look like he was prepared for us coming for having the ordered breakfast which is for an extra Euro 18.- per person…
Beautiful hotel in the heart of St Denis
Mar 2022Very comfortable bedrooms, lovely little terrace garden and very conveniently located in the heart of St Denis. The closest bus station is Jardin de l'État, which is very convenient as the majority of routes run through there. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant, which you can book separately, serves amazing food and drinks. The hotel is a beautiful building with a unique style to it.
The breakfast is a little bit on the pricey side, although it is stylishly presented. We just felt it needed a little bit more content to choose from, given the price.
Also, it would be helpful to have a WiFi password provided at check-in, or at least displayed somewhere in the room.
Astonishing place!
Jul 2022The hotel is an astonishing colonial house placed on one of the most beautiful streets of Saint-Denis. Made it perfect to explore the city or just relax there observing the surroundings. As we arrived, we were offered some welcome refreshing drinks which is always a touch of class. The staff was very friendly and ready to help.
The room was very nice and comfortable without losing the spirit of the house. It also had some free coffee pods and water which is always appreciated. Definitely, we will come back there if we are back in Reunion.

unfortunately the pool wasn’t functioning, previously told the restaurant would be open for new year and unfortunately not. I would rather have a bath in the room than a shower.

Only established at end the expensive cost of breakfast for all 5 of us

Most guests were older couples which didn’t work well with a young family split across a hall way

Mar 2023It’s a beautiful historic house converted to a hotel right downtown amongst other properties from the same era.
Unfortunately we were not placed in that beautiful house, but rather a modern annex behind the hotel. If it just was that, ok. But the quality was simply not there. The bed was hard and lumpy plus covered with a plastic protector (like for potty training a toddler) under the sheet, making it sweaty and uncomfortable all night. The water pressure was abysmal, impossible to wash your hair, and the temperature only ever got warm, not hot. There were tree branches just outside scraping the window and roof constantly, and the a/c was intermittent. Coffee and tea are provided in the room, but only espresso cups. As we drink tea with milk, we asked for larger cups but there were none. Same with the milk, none available even apparently with the €18 per person breakfast, no milk or cup larger than a child’s teacup for your morning tea. Literally all the other places we stayed in over a two week period were great, not this one. They could do better. And Booking needs to let the consumer know which rooms are in the historic house and which in the annex.

The breakfast is great and value for money.
I like most is the hotel have renovated and nice and clean, staff very helpful. Next to the hotel, there is a nice busy restaurant.

Jun 2022I felt so comfortable, perfectly clean room, very clean and comfortable beds, very friendly and supporting stuff, very nice furniture, lovely Terrasse. Directly at the bus station, also for going hiking, located in the city center though. Absolutely can recommend this place.
