Cocotal Inn and Cabanas

Wonderful location with a beautiful view! North of San Pedro so it’s very quiet. Very friendly and attentive staff. Ben went out of his way to assist us in booking an excursion. If we are able to return one day, we would stay again.

Location, clean, roomy!

We enjoyed being able to use the bikes, hammocks, pool, and access to kayaks. It was really convenient and quiet, with beautiful grounds. Ben and Yahaira were very friendly and attentive. It was convenient to do a snorkel trip through them since they pick you up at the inn (don't expect a tour guide though they stay in the boat while you swim). Aji, the restaurant nearby has a delicious ceviche and paella FYI.

A dustpan would have been helpful (we accidentally broke some glass). There were a lot of mosquitos and the room didn't offer anything to help ward them off. The space is really dark even with lights, the curtains didn't have a liner so you are pretty exposed if you want natural light.

The staff was very nice and helpful with transportation, snorkel tours, and golf cart rental. The bikes and kayaks were convenient and a lot of fun. The facilities and pool were clean and very nice. The cabanas are very comfortable, and perfect for a long stay.

The property was perfect for our family’s vacation needs. Our kids loved the pool and having access to a full kitchen was great.

The property sent a lot of useful information to me before my arrival. Upon our arrival in San Pedro we were met at the airport and taken back to the property. The cabana was clean, spacious, well air conditioned, and bigger than I expected. Bed was comfy and the kitchen well stocked for cooking. The staff at Cocotal was very friendly and helpful with everything. We liked that the property was away from the main town and very quiet, but still close enough to restaurants and bars. It was also pretty close to Secret Beach on a golf cart which was a plus. Cocotal is beachfront but it is not a nice swimming beach which we knew before hand! But they have a dock that was handy for kayaking to the reef and being picked up by boat for our snorkel trips. Overall we had an amazing time at Cocotal and it exceeded our expectations for what we paid. 100% would return!

Didn't find fault with anything!

The location was slightly out of San Pedro but in my mind being away from the town is the beauty of the property. The staff here are amazing. Ben is extremely helpful and a true gem in being there when needed! The pool is a bonus. The Villa we stayed in clean and large and perfect for a family of four. Having a kitchen is another bonus.

The inn and the staff were excellent. All five of them were ready to help you with anything you needed. Thanks Guys It is a small inn, 8 suites I think. So no crowds anywhere and we were able to meet and chat with other people from all over the world. No concerns about too many people with Covid being around. Easy to social distance. The staff was very aware of covid protocol without being in your face about it. We used the bikes to get into town for food and supplies most days. The highlight for us was the kayaks. Being able to paddle to a buoy on the reef and snorkel around on your own was amazing. The pool was very clean and refreshing.

Be aware of sand flies. They do their best to keep it under control but that is the way it is in Belize.
