Nov 2022We really liked the location as Cahuita is a very small place, everything was close by. The staff were kind.
As for breakfast, we feel like there could be more fruit served. The first impression of our room was not the best, it looks very dark and it doesn't fully reflect the photos. There were two beds - double and single, that was not necessary and took a lot of space of the room. The bed itself was comfortable. There were two fans, however it was hard to keep the air circulated. We appreciate changing the towels every day.
Quiet spot with pool for a short stay in Cahuita
Oct 2022We only stayed for one night but it was a lovely spot in Cahuita. Twin room was a good size for two friends sharing. Pool was small but we had free reign of it and views of the sea. 5min walk from the nature reserve and to nearby restaraunts. Generous breakfast options.
No air con - very hot! Fan provided.
This was a bit overpriced, but still a pleasant stay in a very lovely location
May 2022We loved the little town of Cahuita and this motel was an easy walk to all the shops and beach and National Park. Our view out our window was a clear view of the ocean and boat harbor which was a joy. The grounds and room were especially clean and well kept. The breakfast was fresh cooked and served on the covered outdoor veranda overlooking the water. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The air conditioner did not work, (on a room we paid for air)so that was a bit uncomfortable, but we got by with the fan. The rooms are very small with little room for our two backpacks. The key to unlock the door was very difficult and took a special rattle and twist to get the door open which I never mastered. The parking is very tight and difficult to maneuver. The price of $84 was quite high for what you get compared to other area lodging.

Feb 2022The place was very beautiful, breakfast was great. Right in front of the beach, would have loved for it to be swim able but more so for the boats. Only thing that was missing was an cold air unit. Super hot in the room, fans were not doing much justice. But having to get up at 4 am to take off to airpot had to wake owner up to move his vehicle and unlock the gates, thumbs down on that. Over all i still give this place an 8.

Feb 2023The breakfast was good and there was a nice view of the ocean from the restaurant. The ladies who cooked breakfast and cleaned our room were very pleasant.
Room needs major updating! We had a room with a double bed and a single bed so there was very little room to put luggage or to sit. The bed frames were made of dangerously shaped wooden posts that stuck out just at shin level...no fridge or kettle in the room but there was a kitchen that had one where we could put things.

Aug 2022Such an awesome experience staying at cabinas arrecife, we liked so much that we decided to stay longer. We loved the location (in front of the beach). The staff was super friendly and helpful, giving a delicious breakfast.
The room was very big, having 1 double and 1 single bed.
We'll definitely come back in the future.

Worst beds so far a month into our 2 month trip. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. For the price I expect a comfortable bed

Nov 2022I liked the fact that it was in front of the ocean, breakfast was good.
The rooms are extremely small, dark and nothing like the pictures. I wanted to get my money back and look for another place, they said no. I stayed for 2 nights and left even if it was paid for.

Jan 2021breakfast is very good; the cleanliness of the room was great, towels were always changed. This is a good place to sleep in, is walking distance to restaurants and the park as well.
the pool is very small, it only has regular plastic chairs, not the ones to take the sun. For the price we were expecting to spend some more time in the place but wasnt worth it, the pool gets very crowded if a family of 3 is already on it. Keep in mind that having a pool available raises the price in the area as not many accommodations have it, we just didn't use it at all
