Meidan View

No outdoor view

Difficult to find the hotel at night. The beds were not comfy and were pretty hard. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly. We weren’t able to change the temp on the ac. We left after staying one night even though we booked two.

The room was much smaller than we thought. There was no AC in the room.

It was close to the main tourists spots. Easy access to many areas.

The breakfast was not western friendly. No choice. Had to buy Dunkin Donuts every morning.

Its clean, comfy beds, and the staff were friendly

Its a good location right in the city centre, near all the feature elements of the city.

Its not clean, its hard to find, wasn't fun walking up and down the heel with the heavy luggages. Absolutely accidentally we found it. As the sign is tiny, and in the dark evening not even seen. The room was okay appart from the fact that made it hilarious, hotel is called meidan View, and we had a room with a corridor view 🤣🤣 the window was into the hotels corridor, with people always walking pass and the light in corridor being super light during night Time, we had no idea what time it was, as the corridor view 🤣🤣 messes up your natural sleeping patterns. The interior was cheap, the room itself okay. But the bathroom was really bad, really mouldy sink and walls, broken toilet seat. Breakfast was hmm not bad. Can't expect much for this price I guess. So if you not fussy then its a good location.

I liked the eagerness to help.

Did not like our ground floors room's window facing the lit hall to door leading to upper floors stairway which had a light colored curtain instead of black or dark colored one. At night we did not need to turn switch for over the bed ceilings light which that window lit up the room. Hard to sleep. One other thing was the gas heater while off, turned completely to the left still gave off warmth to the room which then we needed to sleep with the air conditioning which the directional setting did not work neither did the fans speed work. It blew directly on us, on the bed as we slept. I caught a cold. Needed it due to the heater still giving off heat at the off position. Communication between receptionist is lacking. I specifically stated when checked in that we would not want housekeeping for privacy & security reasons that we would ask if needed, more toiletries, towels, trash bags etc but 4th day upon returning to room we noticed someone entered the room. After questioning and communicating our prior request to receptionists on duty, she replied, "no one told me" (with a smile, no apologies). Walls on groundfloor where our room was are thin. Bathroom sink water pressure very low.
