Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel

We used the hotel on a 15hr layover at HK. It was perfect, the staff were very helpful and got Us in early. Very clean and comfy. Meals we had were of a very good standard. This is exactly what we needed on along journey to Australia.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We had less than one day and used the hotel for sleep before our next flight. We used the steam room and shower and really enjoyed that especially during our long journey. The room was quiet and clean. We had enough time to take the free shuttle bus to the main town for breakfast and then back for our flight while also using the free shuttle to the airport.

It seems that many hotels in Asia use a bath tub with half plan of glass for its stand up shower. I find that the splash water is not fully retained and will lead to a wet floor surface in the bathroom. It is very common design I have found in many hotels in Asia, but we always make the best of what we have while traveling. I still recommend this hotel for its location to a newly built area close to the airport.

Tidy and comfortable room

This was my second visit, following the initial one just over a week ago. I was again assigned a beautifully appointed room with a breathtaking view of the The HZMB Hong Kong Port as well as the HKIA flight path as it is close to the runways and obviously my kids, who have not had a chance to travel because of their being at a young age and the ongoing COVID pandemic, found this infinitely exciting. The indoor swimming pool is well designed and truly family friendly. Don’t miss their buffet breakfast which consistently features a fantastic range of western and asian delicacies. All members of staff were helpful, efficient and I can attest to their enthusiasm in making every moment of your staycation count. The shuttle bus service greatly enhances the accessibility of this otherwise slightly remote property, which, nonetheless, deserves justice in terms of its distinctiveness as a luxury property that is known for its proximity to Hong Kong’s award-winning airport and Asia WorldExpo. Absolutely worth it and I will definitely be back for another amazing staycation!

The room was clean, the breakfast was excellent and the shuttle bus to / from the airport was convenient.

The room was a bit small and the room service dinner (stir fried shrimp) was bland.

The reception staff was very nice. Ms Namrata in particular was very helpful. The room was Super BIG. Being used to Hong Kong's tiny houses and supertiny hotel rooms, this was a pleasant surprise. Everything inside the room was posh, automatic and touchless. My 8 yrs old son was so excited to see and try out everything. Bathroom was big too, with 6 feet bathtub (thats rare in HK). TV was huge, though limited channels.. The breakfast was nice too. Lots of options..even for vegetarians. So my mom was happy too. Just that there seemed to be lots of guests.. Although the breakfast area was pretty big. Food was delicious. Especially the bakery items.. Location is convenient too. Just few steps away from Asia World Expo mtr. And whats more is they have free shuttle bus service from/to Tung Chung mtr and the airport, every 30 min. So we combined our stay with a trip to Big Buddha and Ngong Ping Cable car. It all worked out very well. Also visited Citygate company outlets. (there is always some crazy sale going on. Very crowded.) In short, we have a wonderful stay. 8.5/10. 😊

OK. 2 things I did not like and have to mention.. 1. The beds were super soft.. While my son enjoyed jumping on them, I could not sleep well as I have a backache problem. 2. The room was for 4 ppl, but there were only 2 towels. I called up the room service around 8:00 am and asked for 2 additional towels, The lady said, "certainly sir", but they never arrived. Not until we checked out at 12:30 pm in the afternoon.
