Marriott Guangzhou Tianhe

The staff were so kind and helpful, they really couldn’t do enough for us during our whole stay. The room was great, good view, very comfortable bed, wonderful bath tub. We really enjoyed breakfast, lots of great options. The bakery section was our favourite.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. They generously granted me late checkout proactively. Very enjoyable stay, super convenient location with best shopping mall just downstairs. will be back!

Nothing negative to say!

The location was great. The hotel was surrounded by the main shopping malls and MTR station (Line 3). The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Will revisit.

The Hotel is in an awesome location.It is in proximity to malls, restaurants, etc. The Grandview Mall Aquarium which is a must visit is right behind the hotel.Families love this place.The room was clean and bed was comfortable.Quality bedding.Breakfast had a wide variety and the lay out of the restaurant was beautiful.We had an upgrade to our room. If you want to eat in an American restuarant, drive to 13 Factories which is somewhere behind the American Embassy for good sirloin steak. cajun fries etc. I mean homemade food.

My mood was messed up during breakfast when I heard one of the noodle serving chefs pass a racist comment about me being black.It was an unbelievable moment for me in such a reputable International Hotel as Marriott.I immediately reported this to the female Manager on duty.I don't know how far they dealt with this. This chef needs to have a reorientation of working in an International Hotel.For now, he is fit for a local Chinese restaurant but not suitable for an International Hotel.He may embarass other customers who are black.

It was very cold in a room

Room was super clean and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, a separate working zone, ceiling-to-floor window, a very good air con. The staff was very attentive. The gym has all essential machines and free weights. The breakfast was really good.

Although everything was very nice, no doubt, but still it felt like a well equipped 4* hotel, I was hoping that a 5* hotel would provide something very special, something memorable. Maybe this comes only with top ranked rooms. The level of English of some staff was a bit disappointing. The location is very central, no doubt, but as a result there were serious traffic jams at the hotel entrance. Waiting for almost 20 min for a taxi booked on Baidu to cover just 500 m to pick me up was an unpleasant experience.
