Illikkalam Lakeside Cottages

The view from the room is really good. Rooms are ok. Family cottage is not family cottage. it is just two bed rooms back to back even without a common hall or living area.

Staff behaviour (especially the one who handles the booking). Also the road to resort is not well maintained. Food is expensive (imagine buying idly breakfast for Rs. 200) and they don't allow outside food.

Rooms have no more fascility. I paid 3000 inr, they are not provide any toilet accessories and breakfast also. The rooms look like an ordinary lodge room. The food is very nice. I paid for the breakfast also.

The atmosphere was good . Very good staff . The owner itself came to host us .

The rate was bit high compared to the facilities available . Food rate was also bit high . Room size is bit too small

check in time they have asked for a deposit and I don’t have enough cash for that n they don’t accept cards. I paid already my room charges in cash by advance and told them to wait n once I get fresh I will go to town and bring cash for you. but they don’t agreed to check in me even am tired from my long journey and so hot 🥵 weather . this is my first impression to the property. so please don’t do to this to upcoming guests. Also noticed there another policy that don’t park vehicles in staff parking area.. ok that’s fine. so I asked to staff where is guest parking they show me the open place which is very sunny and no roof. so I think this property don’t care 🤷‍♂️ guests. it’s like u come and park anywhere n go.

Really peaceful and safe destination for tourism in the time of COVID 19,The staffs are maintaining distance and very good in hospitality.check in and checkout procedure are in open area and open dining area and safe cottages with healthy food. Really like this property.Thank you illikalam team

We had booked for 2 nights! Room was not clean, it had bad smell coming. Also the bathroom had a lizard inside due to which my wife got scare and we didn't stayed there! Without getting a single penny refund 😔

The reservation was made via booking.com that did not ask for the credit card info. Later the property asked for a bank deposit into their Bank account or a payment through Google Pay - both were not handy for an international traveler. The room was not prepared for the guests - especially water connection to Toilet.

Rude behavior of the staff. Didn't get the booked Cottages. Ask to pay extra money.
