Jul 2022Very pleasant one-night stay, in an all-around excellent hotel, with friendly and accommodating staff and a wonderful ambiance. The only gripe might be that the A/C in the room can only be set on low-medium-high, and not on a given temp, and the room stayed uncomfortably warm for most of the night even when set on high.

Nov 2022Very helpful & friendly staff, located very conveniently in Makati, within walking distance to the (huge!) malls (if one is into that) and Ayala museum (nice!). The condiments in the room were meticulously replenished every day, including 4 little bottles of water! Also nice about the place is that Filipinos like to hang out in the beautiful lobby for breakfast or afternoon tea as a luxurious treat.

Mar 2022This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Manila. I’ve stayed at the Shangrila, Fairmont , Discovery Primea, Raffles and Dusit Thani. Peninsula Manila is the worst. The staff are not at all helpful. They make you feel like you inconvenience them anytime you ask them a question or express any concerns. The only nice thing about the hotel is its lobby. Come for a visit but never stay.

Nov 2022This hotel lives up to its name. Excellent staff, amazing breakfast choices, a wonderful pool plus exercise area. All levels of the staff go out of their way to be helpful.

Their buffet is a lot of the reason we enjoyed staying at this hotel in the past. It was always top notch. Without the buffet, they are just an average moderately priced hotel. Nothing special.

Dec 2021Our room is not available when we checked in around 3:30pm and waited. The next day we had our breakfast at the Cafe Lobby and waited for almost an hour and left. They delivered the food in our room in a plastic container but since we are already late for the wedding we didn’t get the chance to eat and left it in the room.

May 2022Loved the service and the whole ambience of the Penn as we normally do. It's great that everyone who goes there has to present their vaccination cards as that gives an extra layer of security to our feeling safe and comfortable during our stay. We had a great time and it is convenient to places of interest in Makati. Will definitely stay there again and again.

Sep 2022Lobby atmosphere is special and very pleasant to enjoy a drink at while listening to live piano in the evenings. The Spices restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, good food and great service. Escolta is a bit hit and miss but this could be more due to the buffet style dining. Check-in was pretty smooth and I highly recommend hiring the house car for transfer to and from the airport. Security screening staff at the front could use some improvements in terms how to treat guests. The room product is showing is age, but is clean and serviceable. I suggest they revisit their lighting design—too much bright white lights for a five star hotel. Linens were clean but could use refreshing.

Jul 2022It was our 2nd time staying in this hotel and will definitely consider this hotel for our next visit. Service was friendly and professional, breakfast buffet selection was extensive and tasted delicious, amenities (pool, spa, gym) were great and location was perfect being close to Greenbelt. You enter the hotel feeling relaxed and leave the stress and hustle and bustle of Manila outside. The hotel will better serve business travellers since I wished they had more services / amenities for kids.

Mar 2020I reserved this hotel for my mother and stepfather. After an eleven and half hour flight, I wanted to make sure they had a fantastic hotel to recoup from their long journey. And to make it easier, I requested a car from the hotel to pick them up.From the minute they stepped through baggage claim, they quickly found the driver. He was extremely helpful and friendly. The drive to the hotel was pleasant and relatively quick. Once they arrived at the hotel, the staff had a wheelchair ready at the entrance. They were whisked directly to their room. And was able to register there instead of in the lobby. On a side note, my mother was surprised the hotel had a wheelchair for her. My mother recently had back surgery and is unable to walk a long distance. So we usually request a wheelchair at the airport. The driver must have contacted the hotel to let them know. That kind of attention to detail set the bar exceptionally high. And this hotel met and exceeded that.From the very start, the Peninsula Manila staff was warm, welcoming and very accommodating. The hotel is spotless. The food is phenomenal. And the staff is simply excellent. You must stay here at the Peninsula Manila.
