Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel

The place is over 600.00 USD a night. They have very bad front desk service. It is over priced as yiu get very little as far as service. they are not very well run. The beach is beautiful. the hotel is very complicated and you must take many elevators to get from one part to the other and they take no time to explain that. they had no blowdryer in the room.

The garden is huge and landscaping is excellent covered by grass and palm trees along the private beach. Pool and kids wading pool is excellent too.

Stunning hotel with impeccable services. Marwa was professional, warm and welcoming. Lovely pool and beach with scenic views. Good breakfast buffet and spa services. Excellent hotel for complete relaxation.

Stayed for last night of our honeymoon. They went above and beyond to make it special with a surprise in our room and the best seat in the house for dinner, right on the beach. The Friday brunch was excellent - bring your appetite - and the staff (especially Victor) really made us feel at home. Ideal, top quality place to relax on the beach or by the pool, within driving distance of sights in Muscat.

Excellent hotel and service. Beautiful lobby, the best in the world. Very nice a Deluxe room, but a small bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. We tried Seafood and Arabic Nights. High quality food and service at Turkuaz and Chinamood restaurants. Very nice area around the hotel, but the beach is wild. After all it’s a great place to stay.

Excellent food and service. Lovely setting with the mountains and a great pool. Perhaps a few updates/maintenance needed e.g. tennis courts and gym needed a bit of TLC but still very useable. Not particularly eco friendly with disposable plastic bottles everywhere and a fair amount of plastic washing up on the beach uncollected but I’d say this would be the same at all hotels in Oman sadly. All in all a great stay. Recommend renting a car if you plan to leave the hotel at all as it’s out of the way.

Excellent facilities and service

Everything is very overpriced. They didn't have enough umbrellas, even though it was about 40 degrees every day. It smelled like incense every single day which was very off putting.

Heard so much about it and it looks so great from the pictures, but in reality it's tired, out of date, and the service - especially the front desk staff - is totally brusque and indifferent. The beach has washed away so it's just rocks now, so not really a useable beach resort. If you don't book restaurants days in advance you don't get a table. The rooms are from the 1980s it feels like; old and tired. For the price it's massively underwhelming.

The rooms were decent, not too spacious but as a family who spend most of the time out of the room it was not an issue. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Amazing team, very nice place, very beautiful beach and swimming pool. Lot of activities for kids (in a separate area) our baby girl (2 years) really enjoyed all the activities. Food was amazing. First day I was a little bit disappointed by the size of the bathrooom (let's be clear it's not very smalll, but not so big than in other hotels of this category) but after the amazing service I observed at the front desk, at the restaurant, at the pool, at the kids club, at the spa ... I totally forgot the size of the bathroom which is in fact the smallest detail of our experience. We will return for sure, with our daughter, we had so much fun, relaxing holidays, so much lovely little intentions, thank you for making our stay so nice.
