Oct 2019We loved staying at this hotel, location was great and friendly service make you felt at home. The staffs were amazing, Lorna, Lusy were wonderful help. Look forward to our next visit.

Dec 2018We had an excellent time for our 35 wedding anniversary. The staffs provided excellent services and foods. West Lake was the most romantic place for us. Anita Araujo and Bruce Li at the check in time were wonderful. Michael Guo and Bela Wu at the executive lounge provided excellent drinks and foods. At the buffet breakfast, Ruslan Chaykovsky made the best Lattes for us and Angela was so sweet and lovely to greet us every morning. Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou was the best.

Dec 2018We had an excellent time for our 35 wedding anniversary. The staffs provided excellent services and foods. West Lake was the most romantic place for us. Anita Araujo and Bruce Li at the check in time were wonderful. Michael Guo and Bela Wu at the executive lounge provided excellent drinks and foods. Dec 2018We are a family of 9 with my elderly parents and young nephews. Check in was alright. We were given tea while waiting and my dad had a nice chat with Ms. Anita. There was a front desk staff Ms. Surich Zhao who was not so friendly and was bordering on being hostile. That kind of marred the whole experience. Rooms were big and spacious. We could open all 3 luggage at the same time and still had space to walk. There was a small clump of hair stuck to a sticky patch on our bathroom floor and my OCD sister was a little put off by that. Our rooms were on the 6th floor and guest rooms are only from level 3 to 9. We had to request for an extra bed in one of the rooms at 300yuan per night. The hotel prepared a cake for my sister’s birthday without us informing or mentioning to them at all. That was very thoughtful and certainly earned brownie points. There was turn down service every night and also a small plate of welcome fruits on our first day. Location is undeniably convenient. West Lake is just a 5 minutes stroll, Yan An Road shopping district is about 15 minutes walk and a night market around the corner is 10 minutes away.I would certainly return for another stay if I come back to HangZhou.

Nov 2019Non-sokong room smell smoking at 1st night, request to change room next day. We had our 2 morning coffee & bakeries at their coffee shop , after 10 minutes of waiting , they told us they are running out of cream and milk and asked us can we drink black coffee instead. , Out of cream at coffee shop???

Nov 2019Nice location - close to the west lake and shopping areas. But the hotel seems to be unfinished with the back garden or square blocked. The gym and swimming pool etc was closed due to more than a year unpaid rent?! We were offered to use the gym in the grant Hyatt. It’s about 10 minutes walk by the lake. I think I’ll stay there next time!

Oct 2019Location is quite good. Not far from west lake and decently near the metro. Was slightly disappointed that they were renovating their health center (pool) was intending to have some light swim. Generally good stay.

Nov 2019Jason, the hotel manager, did a wonderful job in assisting us with our room reservation and stay. He did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied with the hotel whenever we walked past him in the hotel lobby everyday. The entire staff at the hotel were helpful and pleasant.

Nov 2019I felt that I was double charged.First of all, I paid deposit during check-in, and then paid full hotel bills during check-out. However, later on, my credit card showed 2 transactions from this hotel ( I booked 2 rooms). I contacted the hotel but they insisted to say that was pre-authrizationand will be refunded soon.... Doesnt make sense that I paid full deposit and bills, why pre- authorization after check-out???

Dec 2019Great location to get to historic and picturesque West Lake. Close to interesting street market and other shops.Very comfortable stay and good breakfast with plenty of choice. Recommended if you go to Hangzhou.

Jan 2020Firstly lost my passport several times. The staff were very confused about the booking. This took about 5 minutes to fix. But then the real problems began. My credit card got put I to about 5 different machines. Some repeatedly. I put my pin in multiple times. On different machines. And a few times o. The same machine. No declined slips. This is when the staff began lying. And I hate this. A different girl was dealing with me for the booking than the girl playing with my card. When I asked what she was doing. She immediately lies to me. And tells me the card was declined. Without looking. Or talking to the other girl. And I dont mean English. Not Chinese or a touch or a look. Just starts arguing. There is now a pending transaction on my card I dont believe to be a deposit. There was a lot of confusion. And I think I got charged twice for the room fee. And then a deposit. Also all off our group was charged different deposits. This maybe is not a problem. Maybe this will all get fixed. Its just disappointing ☹️Then when I got to my room with all my luggage. The room key did not work.

Oct 2019Excellent hotel. 5* rooms and facility with a great location. Service was excellent, however much of their staff seemed pretty new to the operation (could have pulled in additional bodies for Golden Week). Either way, an absolutely stellar experience and a very positive first experience for us with the brand.
