Would have like for there to be Spa pools available

We enjoyed our stay at Doubletree by Hilton - the room was spacious & well equipped, & being in the city centre it was central to everything. We dropped our bags on arrival & they were delivered to our room while we returned our hire car. We had two very minor issues with our room - there were areas that hadn't been cleaned properly (kids fingerprints on mirrors & coffee stains near coffee area) & a window which didn't close correctly & allowed the city/street noise in overnight (especially as we were in first floor room) - but being as we are from the 'quiet' country, the city noise would have kept us awake even if the window did close probably! The staff were excellent & very attentive to our needs both on arrival & departure, & during the false fire alarm evacuation. We would definitely stay there again next time we're in Wellington.

We come here every year and find the consistently friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, beautiful beds and amenities the best that Wellington has to offer

We booked a Junior Suite for 2 nights. The room was lovely, & the bathroom was amazing. The hotel was completely let down by the staff, & the lack of service. We booked for 2 adults &1 child as it said the room slept 3 people & that there was a sofa bed. We arrived just after 6pm & found the sofa bed was not made up. We popped down to reception to advise them & they said they would sort while we were out to dinner. When we got back from dinner, we found some sheets dumped on the sofa.....I have never paid to stay in a hotel & been expected to make the bed up myself! There was a note saying as they were under-staffed, they would appreciate it if we didn't want our room made up the next day. No offer of any compensation for this, which I know alot of other hotels offer as an incentive. Anyway, we did not chose this option, & went out for the day sightseeing/to see a show. We arrived back at around 8pm to discover our room had not been made up at all. No clean towels, nothing. We went to speak to reception & were met with a man who yawned at us, then said he could service our room the following day.....the day we were leaving. We asked for some fresh towels & left it at that. The staff at this hotel were continually disinterested. They did not smile, ask how our stay was, or care in any way. Such a shame really, as the hotel itself is so lovely in a great location, but I would never stay here again.

Was disappointed with check in but overall a comfortable room for the stay.good location

Very clean, organised and professional.The Shower was broken and there was a 2nd option for roof attachment which couldn’t be turned on which was disappointing and No Sky Tv which was also disappointing.
