The Fred - Adults Only

We enjoyed our two night stay at The Fred very much! The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and towels were all soft and better than home.

Very clean property, excellent customer service, if your not comfortable around animals at the bar, this may not be the place to stay. It’s a pet friendly hotel. I like animals at a distance if this make sense.

This was a great place to stay! Truly the only place in fredricksted that is on the beach. Really nice area for snorkeling. Very relaxing. We loved the individual cabins/rooms. Nice set up and great outdoor dining area and bar. Lots of food in walking distance. Not for those what want to be in the middle of the tourist scene. Nice and quite! We will be going back! Rent a car! So worth it! 20 min drive to Christiansted. The touristy side. Have to stop by the Mill, say hi to Scott and Tanner, and Michelle! ! They are the best, it’s also the best place to people watch!

The view was beautiful and very pleasant environment. Everybody there was friendly and welcoming.

The US Virgin Island St Croix kinda sucks..it's frankly depressing the people are fat dumb and lazy not showing up to work and it reflects poorly on some of theamazing people like Karen, Shinque and Sharon. The Fred is really an amazing property for the area which I would campare to the South side of Chicago. The water is beautiful, the pool is perfect and the hot tub was amazing all very clean. We had 4201 the largest suite and the bed was perfect the room was huge as was the shower and a great room for a lot of sex. Drinks were overpriced and food was terrible with the exception of breakfast which was amazing and they just hired a new Chef before we left the property. In closing, soo. Many people lack class playing their phones by the pool area and a disgusting 500 pound Mamba Jamba with a G string taking selfies at the hottub with all sorts of stuff sticking out... We never returned to that hot tub. The island lacks everything but it's an example of what is happening in the US as they have free healthcare and essentially disability or unemployment for life so nobody works, services are terrible, you cannot get a cab, their cars are all flood cars from Hurricanes and are not safe to drive. Their food is all largely spoiled except what's immediately fresh from the Ocean.. there are no farms for amazing produce and fruit. It's an education in Socialism for all of you that like it so much and ignore Economic Science. I would like to see the Fred become a nude destination.

Expedia put us through hell trying to book this trip for a funeral. I spent a week and hours on the phone trying to change dates not cancel trip and in the end it very emotional, a waste of time because they did nothing. I would not recommend Expedia to anyone. I'll never book trip through them again.

The room wasn’t cleaned. Front desk staff went to the room at night to complete the clean due to cleaning staff did not. The front desk and the amenities staff were great.

The hotel is beautiful and charm. The staff is extremely friendly while they are in the hotel because there were nobody in the nights or before 9am.The pool has a good ambiance but they allow people from outside and there were drunk people and problematic persons.When I went to sleep: surprise my sheet was disgustingly dirty with something sticky and red like blood. As I said, there were no staff at night and after walking the hotel for 20 minutes we found a security and after a couple of calls he gave us another sheet (which of course we had to change by ourselves) but being just 1 was not enough to change the one in the cover so we had to sleep without it. In resume, we could not sleep too much. Also, if you want to rest this is not your place since you hear every people that walks by the street and inside the main building.Besides that, amazing but the most important thing in a hotel is the hours sleeping and mine were nothing but bad.

The Fred was great. The area of Freriksted ran down. Nothing much there.

The food on the resort was amazing! Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and the public areas of the resort were relaxing and scenic. The island was very laid back and calm, not many tourists or people I guess due to Covid-19. We would definitely come back to visit.

Our stay was excellent. Once the restaurant is up and running, The Fred would be absolutely perfect overall!

Nice old hotel and charming rooms. Ours said it had a balcony but not unless you went out of your room into the hall and then out another door onto the balcony. So not usual definition of balcony room. AC was iffy but semi adequate. So excited to have a Keurig in the room but surprised they housekeeping did not refill the pods for the next morning. Would have made a positive feeling rather than a frustrating one. Restaurant was good but quite expensive and more so than other ones in town. Would definitely return and liked the pool and hot tub and coziness of courtyard.

It’s a beautiful place, with porches and balconies painted in pale tropical pastels with lovely gingerbread trim. The BEST place to watch the sunset. The colorful, creatively lighted salt infinity pool and large hot tub are the centerpiece of the spacious courtyard. Located right on the ocean is a two story open-air restaurant and bar. The upstairs has a good amount of nicely upholstered outdoor furniture and a shallow linear pool with low chaises for sitting in the water. The beach has more chaises and umbrellas, and there is a deck practically the length of the property lined with chaises and more umbrellas. Staff is ample, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant food is tasty and creatively prepared and features local seafood. The outdoor bar is airy and modern with lots of places to sit. Music and almost always playing … mostly reggae, but sometimes hip-hop and loud enough that we couldn’t escape it even in our elegantly appointed room. They turn it off at 10 p.m., but the numerous outdoor speakers hidden in the landscaping ensure that it is everywhere. If you would like a quiet spot to read a book outside, this may not be your place. Staff was generally cooperative when asked to turn down the tunes. That, said, it’s a beautiful spot that we would visit again.

Had an okay time, over priced for what it is. It’s not an adults only, as they allow locals to purchase day passes and they bring their children. The pool was over crowded with locals, their kids would go from beach to pool. Hotel was clean and room was nice although there were multiple roaches in the room.

Fred is amazing place to stay the view and the staff is exceptional. The food is pretty good as well. You will definitely enjoy your stay. We will be back soon.
