Staybridge Suites Guelph, an IHG Hotel

The place was very quiet. The room was a great size and the bed was really comfortable.

The 2 person tub wasn't big enough for one let alone 2. I had issues with the front desk both checking in and checking out. Checking in they couldn't find my booking, then couldn't find that I paid. Were all over the place taking payment of extras or room damage charge fee, $50 or $250, debit or credit card. then when checking out they didn't want to refund me the $250 charge saying that it was a trainee and they were wrong and I hadn't actually paid for my room online which I most definitely did and was taking from my account already. Making my one night stay, that i only booked for a short notice get away, from a disastrous week, EXTREMELY frustrating.

A few things disappointed. The mattress had seen better days. When we pulled out the sofa bed, we found packaged food, a remote control and a lot of dirt. The sofa bed was not made up. Breakfast was disappointing - it appeared that no one was actually manning the breakfast area. I felt as though the hotel was not prepared to have guests. I understand that Covid caused a reduction in services, but it is time to get back to pre-Covid standards.

The kitchen is fabulous it’s a great place if you’re away for work and want to keep food and keep the cost down

Wifi needs to be improved or updated

The hotel was easy to find, the breakfast was amazing, check in/out was fast and easy. The room size was ok for what we needed for 1 night. The shower water pressure was awesome.

We could hear people in the hallway at all hours of the night, and the TV was terrible with channels options and clarity, and the curtains couldn't close all the way because they only had half tracks installed.

The best hotel in Guelph! The room is spacious, clean, courteous staff, excellent breakfast. This is always our choice and recommendation in Guelph.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful and cleaned.

Breakfast was plain and not much nutrients. No fruit, omelette was plain folded over egg. There was a dirty toothbrush in my bathroom drawer and water steam stains all over the bathroom walls as if it hadn’t been cleaned

Breakfast was from 6-9:30. But if you arrived at 9, no fruit, no juice, empty bowls. Room next to elevator so no sleep at all with the elevator maschines running constantly. Very bad wifi in the room

Upon check out, the clerk charged me twice for the room

room had not been cleaned at all, food in the garbage, bathroom hadn't been cleaned-used towels etc & reception did not care at all - was completely indifferent to what happened. Came in late from out of town - well after midnight, just finished a 12 hour shift so had no choice but to stay in it. Never again.

No remote or shower gel in room. The front desk guy was great to correct this very fast.

Husband died here phone didn't work had to go down to front desk while my husband lay dieing in the room

Broken cupboard door , staff knew it was ,couldn't do anything but waited for us to say about it , dirty pan no worktop in kitchenet as 1 broken microwave, ment a second took all the space. The pool had a scum mark all the way around it, it felt mucky. Also 2 of our grown up chilgren had to get a room at a neighboring hotel due to a booking error/communication. We should have had a 2 bedroom suit instead it was 2 queen beds in 1 room no privacy
