very clean with a beautiful view

Smokers came to the back of the building and smoked on the path near our room, making our non-smoking balcony very smokey. The lights at night outside our room shined into our room; the bed was set up so that light was directly in your eyes. There was no microwave.

This exceeded our expectations and made for a perfect get away. We opened the door and was legitimately surprised. It's clear that it's an older hotel, but it was maintained so well and very clean. The staff were very welcoming as well. It is our new favorite place and worth every penny.

The view was the best out of 3 I have stayed at.

The view was spectacular! You can see the ocean right from your room! If you choose to, you can sit on the balcony (if not too windy) and a walking path is nearby. The fireplace was a plus, easy to use and kept us warm!

The bathroom sink is in need of repair. The enamel has worn off and the sink is deeply scratched. Doesn't look like it can be cleaned properly. Every time I dropped the soap in the sink, my fingernails would catch the leftover soap scum from previous guests. Also, when I turned on the jets in the whirlpool they smelled like mildew. It made the use of the tub undesirable. No TV channels if you like watching movies.

The view was priceless, the staff was very nice.

The view was incredible! I loved sitting on the balcony early in the morning to stare at the ocean. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Little far away from everything, but not too bad. There's food within walking distance at least!

The view was great. It was right on the ocean.

We were told the Wi-Fi was spotty. It was pretty much non existent. It made it very difficult for my husband to check emails for work and for us to book excursions and activities, as most everything was online. It also made it difficult to use our maps app from the hotel. We had to go to the nearby Starbucks and use their Wi-Fi. We ended up checking out a day early and the manager refused to refund our last night, although we had met their two night minimum. The receptionist tried to be helpful, but the manager, who refused to come out and speak with us in person was unwaivering. We were asked to submit a discrepancy request in Writing, which we did, but never received a formal written answer. Only got charged for the third night, although we checked out more than 24 hours before we would have originally checked out. They advertise and list free Wi-Fi as an amenity. False advertising. We were told they are getting updated service in the next few weeks, but that certainly didn’t help us, there were no accommodations made of comps for our inconvenience. We will never stay here again, if we ever found ourselves in Ft. Bragg. Terrible customer service by the manager.

The view was as good as you could hope for. The walking trail was great 👍.

The view was amazing. And the walking trail was right outside our room, but it was too cold and windy/rainy to walk. It was a winter visit, so we didn’t expect to walk.

The room was very cold when we got back from dinner. The heater was insufficient to warm the room. The bed coverings were skimpy, so we were cold all night. There was a slightly unpleasant smell to the room. The bathroom needs updating. It took a very long time of running the hot water to get hot water. The toilet was low to the ground and the bathroom was cold.

The phone did not work. They said they would fix it, but it didn't get fixed. No phone the whole stay. Made things a little difficult.

The VIEW IS WHAT ALWAYS BRINGS US BACK ((Literally)) It’s The million dollar view if that’s what you’re looking for that’s what you’ll get!!!!!!!!

We didn’t like the very, very, very poor wi-Fi service, but then maybe that was a blessing ❣️One more thing, there is no microwave in these rooms...

The view and walking trail were fabulous. The black out curtains worked well.

The couch in the sitting area was old and uncomfortable.

The room with a sitting room at the lodge is fantastic. There is a big picture window to enable you to look out onto the ocean plus the advantage of a porch where you can sit and admire the ocean view. The location is great just a short distance from the town, you can even walk to town, if your ambitious.

The room is spacious and the view is great. The fireplace (we didn’t use it) would be a nice touch on a cold night. The spa tub was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Also enjoyed being able to walk out and be on the beach in three minutes time, we also walked to Glass Beach which was an easy walk.

The wi-fi was almost non existent between five and ten pm and also in the morning.

The room has nearly everything you would want, to have an enjoyable stay. The thing I like the best is the location to the Coastal Trail, walking distance to the beach, and short drive to town. The views are perfect.

The bed was so uncomfortable that I had a hard time sleeping and woke up sore.

The ocean view was excellent and the location is quiet. It was close to walking paths which was convenient. The king size bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly.

Even though there was a small private outdoor view for sitting and looking at the ocean, the plastic chairs were cheap and uncomfortable and there wasn’t a small table to place a beverage. As a result, we sat inside by the window to drink. The window and door shades were in slightly bad condition. The refrigerator was by the bed (which was odd since the microwave and coffee maker were in the sitting room). The refrigerator was noisy going off and on all night which made for an awful sleep. There was no internet connection except in the sitting room and that was spotty at best. The sitting room had a couch with cushions that sank deeply-not comfortable. There was a living room table. No space for items in the bathroom. In short, we paid for a quiet room with an open view to the ocean-which was the perk. This site has asked for photos of the room but taking photos of our room wasn’t a consideration. The view photos were taken from various paths -some from paths in front of other hotels so I don’t see photos, in this case,helpful.

The location was good. It was convenient to the walking trail and beach access. The rooms had ocean views. Our room had a spa tub and fireplace, which is what I was looking for. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I liked the separate sink for the food/ coffee preparation. Glasses, coffee mugs and wine glasses, were all reusable and not paper or plastic.

The hotel was a little dated in its decor. The robes provided were uncomfortable, there wasn’t a side table for the balcony, and no microwave in the room.

The location is spectacular, beds comfortable, shower great.

The heater was a little tricky and noisy. A manual with instructions on how to turn it off would have been helpful. Our first night was pretty uncomfortable. When I called the front desk in the morning the staff gave great instructions and maintenance even stopped by to see if I needed any assistance.

The location couldn't be more perfect. The bed was comfortable and the deck chairs were perfect for watching the waves crash over rocks. I even had a squirrel friend pop in for a quick visit!

The couch was placed so you couldnt see outside or the tv. But not a huge deal. Most of my time was spent outside.

The only complaint I had with the motel is the guests above us were very loud. It sounded like someone was moving furniture and vacuuming. Other than the noise it was great with an amazing view and very friendly staff.
