Nov 2020We were travelling with five very young children and the grand parents. We wanted to spend a chilled long weekend together and this hotel really helped to have a wonderful moment together:
- it is very conveniently located - 5-10 mins walk from the Kyoto station/Shinkansen exit side so very easy to go around the city and start your day early.
There is a convenience store and a Donqui located nearby you can get food or any stuff you need
- there is a communal area / lobby of the hotel with an open kitchen for guests to use freely anytime. It is super well equipped and the owner walked us through it. We used it for breakfasts/dinners for the children. There is a big fridge you can store your food. When you travel with children, it is super welcome! And it is super clean.
There are also little games for children you can use
- the room was spacious with a Tatami area which again was super helpful for the children
The bath tub is huge! And again well equipped!
The owner is super friendly and helpful, always keen to help!
There is no gym but Kyoto is quite easy to walk/jog around. Would actually recommend an early morning jog as it is the opportunity to discover the city / some locations almost tourist empty!
If we come back to Kyoto, We will definitely stay there again!

Dec 2022Overall the hotel is very impressive although it is not very big.
Room is spacious, clean and organised in a very smart way. It really made me feel like a home away from home.
The owner was there when we arrived. He is not only very helpful with information about the hotel but also about the city; you can see how much he cares about his property and customers.
I would like to come back again.

May 2022I booked IMAGINE for my 2 nights stay in Kyoto and loved it there. The owner and the staff is very kind and helpful, the atmosphere is inviting and I liked the interior of the common room and the rooms a lot.
You will find everything you need for your stay!
The room was very clean and nice, the only part that didn’t match the overall impression was the couch which had quite some staining and could use a makeover. Aside from this, everything was very pleasant.
