Jan 2021What an amazing retreat! We stayed for my son's 18th birthday and it was a perfect getaway. The cabin was immaculate. We loved the attention to detail. The location was perfect. Jan 2021We were looking to get away from the city; a dog friendly cabin with a fireplace in the woods. This was it!
Not only did the home fit our needs, but it was decked out for the Holiday season with lights, a tree, wreaths and assorted other decorations throughout the home.
Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas fully equipped with everything we needed to have stay comfortable. We played games, streamed tv, cooked and enjoyed the fire.
Will definitely recommend to others and return in the future.

Aug 2021We loved this place! It was fairly easy to find and is located in a quiet woodsy area. There are many towns nearby for restaurants and cafes, but we mostly stayed at the house. The house is a very cozy cabin that is equipped with all of the essentials. Beautifully decorated and well kept! The hosts were very helpful and were very easy to reach. May 2022This was such a beautiful home! Everything you need. Plenty of clean towels, bedding, and seating through this cozy cabin. Decor and architecture inside was incredible. From a nice assortment of; seasonings, dishes, utensils, pots and pans to every bath-care/first aid item you can think of. Did I mention coffee! Yes a cute coffee bar with all your essentials. Beautiful seating and view on the large front porch. A birders paradise. Patio in back with seating as well. Lots of places to explore in Sandwich Illinois. Just a quick drive to Quant shops, antiques, and several food options. I only had a short weekend wishing I could stay longer. Hosts are very quick on response. Anything you may possibly need. Feb 2020This was our second stay at this cabin. We love the coziness of it. The fireplace is our favorite thing. We spent many hours gathered in the living room enjoying the warmth, and the crackling sounds of the fire. It was very relaxing. It was so easy to communicate with Candice. Jan 2022This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet weekend getaway. The cabin was very cozy and clean and was just what we needed to get away from our busy city lives. We came here for a short winter couples retreat and it was perfect. The fireplace was easy to use and kept us warm, and the beds and couches were all extremely comfortable.

Dec 2020This experience blew away our expectations! The. property is tucked into the cutest, quiet woodsy neighborhood. The cabin itself is GORGEOUS. The listing pics don’t do it justice. The owners have a serious eye for decor detail. We stayed in the weeks leading up to the Christmas holiday and from the moment we pulled up, it felt like a winter wonderland. And aside from that it was spotless, super clean. There’s a lot to do in this neck of the woods and time spent in the cabin and on the property is enjoyable too. Aug 2021The pictures don’t do this property justice!! It absolutely exceeded our expectation from the location to how well stocked it was. We were surprised at how big, comfortable and ample it was. It was me, my husband, 2 teenage boys, Grandma and two dogs. The place was so cozy. Plenty of spices, ziplock bags, aluminum foil, board games (no scrabble 🙁)
Advice:
1. Hit the Walmart in Ottawa before arriving there to stock up on food
2. Go with the address they give you, drive up about a minute once it says you have arrived and you will see cabin on your left.
3. Stay at least 4 days to be able to truly enjoy and relax.

Apr 2022The minute I opened the door I felt at home! The kitchen was well equipped, comfortable furniture, TV’s wherever you were. Views were beautiful! Out the back it feels like you’re in the forest, sitting on the front porch there’s great views of the river. Easiest booking, check in and out you could ask for. Location to State parks was convenient and not a bad drive to bigger towns if you need more than this quiet town has to offer. I had a power issue which was nothing to do with the property and within 5 minutes of notifying the owner I had multiple replies and she had already contacted the power company with a quick repair ETA. Ended up being a very short interruption but the communication was great! I’m already looking at my calendar trying to find a time to stay again. It was hard to leave! Weiterlesen

Aug 2021The location of the cabin, the property, the interior, the amenities, all superb! This was a very last minute rental and Candice and Leigh Anne were quick to respond and great to communicate with. The cabin is gorgeous! Mornings on the porch watching all the hummingbirds and all kinds of other nature was exactly the way to start the day.
We love the openness of the cabin yet it also allows for enough space and privacy when we each wanted to do our own thing.
Well stocked with everything you need. We wanted to do a fire in the fire pit our last night but a sneaky little rainstorm came through briefly. So we have decided we will come back in the fall to experience this awesome cabin in a different season.
My 11 year old daughter declared she wants to live there now! Our dog also seemed pretty content there too, just lounging on the porch.
The interior steps intimidated her a bit so it took some coaxing to get her up and down.
The only drawbacks? I didn’t plan more than 3 days and that we didn’t spend more time at the cabin. So we must return in fall to fix that! 😊 Candice and Leigh Anne, thank you for creating such an amazing and wonderful home for us to experience! We really love it there! This was our first time using VRBO so the only uncertainties came from being a newby to the platform. The property was very comfortable with plenty of space to gather or to have some alone time. Very welcoming and great for our dog as well. We visited right after a bit of snow and ice, so walking around with the dog in the back yard was tricky, but still worth it. After we had to cancel our Florida vacation this year due to the Corona Virus it was an easy choice for us to schedule a 2nd trip to the Cabin this summer and we had a Great time as always.
Candice and Leigh Anne are great hosts, setting up the reservations, answering any questions we had and sending us information on dinning and fishing in the area.
The Cabin, as always was well equipped and clean!
This Cabin is a great escape from the noise and crowds in the city, very peaceful and relaxing!

Apr 2021Just had a great time at this Sheridan IL cabin. Its immaculate, large with very comfortable areas. The stairs going upstairs are a bit steep, so if you have mobility issues there is a couch and futon downstairs. The bedrooms upstairs are spacious and decor is very nicely done. It rained all weekend, but we just relaxed inside enjoying the fireplace, played some cards. We did grill. The kitchen and bedding is very well supplied. Jul 2021Great log cabin with multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy watching and listening to the birds. We grilled on the back deck every night and enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning. And I’ve never ever stayed at a Airbnb or a home away property that the owners come and show up and try to poke around looking inside. Made for a very uncomfortable stay. Mar 2021Cabin was well kept and extremely clean. Beautiful Log Cabin with very comfortable furniture and beds. The porch was incredible with plenty of seating to sit and watch the sunrise or just hangout. This a perfect place for a small family with older kids. The only negative is the staircase to get to the bedrooms is quite steep and could use a side rail. and could be a detriment for small children in home.
