Sep 2022What a wonderful place! This was our second stay and we are planning to come back next year! This is a perfect vacation for us and a dream come true. From waking up in the morning with Blueberry coffee and pancakes we prepared in the fully stocked kitchen and ate at the table overlooking the lake, to sitting on the dock with our pups watching our kids paddle around the lake or going for a paddle ourselves, or listening to the beautifully haunting loons, we were surrounded by beauty all the time. We are very grateful to the owners who, I feel, share their place just to bring others joy.PS. My husband and son fixed the paddleboat with some nuts and bolts, so if you read other reviews that said you can't use the paddleboat, you can now.

Oct 2020We spent 4 peaceful days here & absolutely loved it. Quiet, tranquil setting with a gorgeous view! It is easy to sleep in, because there’s very little noise to contend with. Coffee in the mornings looking out over the lake, and canoe trips in the afternoon. The owners are very kind and responsive, ensuring that we had a nice stay. We will definitely be back!

Sep 2022We needed local lodging for a weekend in Lee. This property was available and we rented it basically for sleeping only. The property was advertised as "pet friendly" so there was some pet hair in the rental. This unit is well equipped for a family with pets, and it worked out well for my wife and I, but I would not recommend it for two couples. There is no closet space as the closets are filled with other peoples stuff, so you have to work out of your suitcases and the dresser.

Oct 2022We loved your home's layout and the multiple sliding glass doors! It's a beautiful setting, very peaceful and tranquil. The kitchen is fully stocked. My favorite thing was the wonderful bed! You have thought of everything and then some to keep your guests entertained; dvd's, books, games, puzzles and I think I also saw a game console! The weather kept us from enjoying the outdoors, the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. Thanks for sharing your lake home!

May 2021We loved our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer. Made day trips to Acadia and Gulf Hagas for hiking. And spent the rest of our time just being together. The canoe was perfect to get out on the water and see the turtles and birds. We definitely recommend it and will be back. Thank you so much.

Aug 2020We had a wonderful time! The Bass fishing is awesome! A little shallow for swimming outfront of the dock, but we took the canoe to a nearby island for a swim! Wonderful time!

Jul 2022We had a wonderful time at this spot in Lee. Fully equipped for dogs - everything from cookies, brushes, beds and toys to doggy life vests, gates and a run. We brought a rake and shovel with us as we always do to tidy up after our dogs (FYI to future guests - please clean up after your pups). Had all the conveniences of home plus all the extras. We felt so welcome and like family. The owner checked in to be sure we were enjoying ourselves. So thoughtful! Be sure to read the book on the coffee table and sign the guest book! :)

Aug 2020We had a lovely time & are very grateful to the owners for sharing their home! I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, the fur babies or us?! The only changes I would suggest would first be that the ad expressing a clearer description of the shoreline. It’s nestled in a very shallow cove making swimming a bit unpleasant. Lots of murky reeds & shallow all the way across the cove. The dock was lovely but aracniphobics beware!! You will need to be seriously comfortable coexisting with some very large dock spiders! 😱� Needless to say, we made the 10 minute journey in town for our daily dose of swimming which was kindly listed in the home’s directory. We definitely did some initial cleaning when we arrived but the home is a lived in feeling atmosphere & worth the trip!
Overall, it was a truly gorgeous home, (definitely not a camp) & again, we feel very privileged to have stayed! Thank you!!!

Mar 2021We had a great stay at the house- plenty of space, very well stocked kitchen. The beds were comforting and the shower had hot water with great pressure! The full moon over the lake and the morning sunrise were absolutely beautiful!

Jun 2020We booked through VRBO. It was seamless and easy. The property owners are very responsive and excellent to deal with. When we arrived we found a very clean, established and well maintained home that was waterfront on the lake. The views were spectacular and the property was well kept. We were able to Use our all terrain vehicles right from the rental property and the trails are excellent.
The property is well stocked with everything you would need. Bring food and clothes and enjoy your stay

Jul 2020We absolutely loved it here! The views were great and it was so peaceful and quiet. Our son loved playing in the backyard and going down to the dock everyday. Being able to utilize the boats was an added bonus! On a canoe ride, I saw a loon sitting on its nest! James and Tillie literally thought of everything! I am very pleased with our stay as well as the communication with James about our stay. We cant wait to come back!

Oct 2021This was our second time staying here and it was amazing. We stayed this time with my parents who have never been to Maine and it was perfect for them. The pictures don't do it justice- this has become our spot for vacation and I can't wait to go again.

Oct 2021This was our second stay at the cottage. It's a great place when you're seeking a quiet and peaceful place, with gentle activities like kayaking or playing outside with the dog. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, the gas grill got some work for hamburgers, and there was already some wood available for relaxing around the fire pit. Loon calls abound--they'll let you paddle fairly close to them in the kayaks. We also had a lovely heron walking/fishing along the shoreline one afternoon, that got surprisingly close. We've already booked a third stay for next year.

Oct 2022This property was easy to find while still tucked away and private. The lake is beautiful! The home has everything you could need, we loved how pet friendly it was even though we didn’t bring our dog with us. It’s nice and open with high ceilings which make the space feel massive.

Sep 2020This property was absolutely amazing. very spacious and accommodating for all of our needs. The lake was so peaceful and a lot of wildlife to see. Bass fishing was awesome, overall just a very relaxing place with plenty of privacy and was exactly what we were looking for.

Nov 2022This property is absolutely gorgeous. We were here in late October, and the fall leaves were gorgeous and the temperature was perfect to get outside for recreation. I would highly recommend this VRBO and would love to return again!

Mar 2021This place is super homey and relaxing! a gorgeous view out the window and the owners have clearly done their best to think of everything someone might want for their stay. No negative comments, just a couple things I wish I had known in advance: the road to the house is unpaved and can be muddy or icy depending on the season, I was glad for my Subaru's capabilities and snow tires. Wifi was also limited: to be fair I was glad for the opportunity to unplug but one of the nights I wanted to video chat with some friends, the connection was a bit spotty. On the flipside, my AT&T phone happened to have excellent service! So it all worked out for me. Very happy with my stay, would definitely do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks!

Jan 2021This cabin was so home like, Very comfortable and the pictures don’t do it justice. It was so quiet, did even hear a peep from the neighbors. Our family brought their dogs..and oh my is this place pet friendly. Dog beds and a dog station, emergency vet information, and a few treats! Dog vacation too! Our family had a delightful time, and have already talked about coming back in the summer!

Dec 2022The pictures are accurate but do not fully describe the beauty of this setting. We enjoyed every moment of our trip to Maine and stay at this home. The lake is spectacular and because of the time of year it felt like it was only ours. Seeing and hearing the loons were such an amazing experience. The accommodations were adequate for us, and all of our needs were met. If we ever return to the area, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Beautiful doesn't describe the property as it is absolutely breathtaking. though pet friendly, the property did not smell of animal and besides the doggie beds, you would never have known an animal was in the place! Cannot WAIT to come back again!!
