Das Roost liegt auf einem 4 Hektar großen Grundstück und verfügt über Wanderwege, die über das gesamte Grundstück verlaufen. Zusätzlich gibt es ein separates Doppelbett, das als weiterer Sitz- / Schlaf- / Entspannungsbereich fungiert.<br><br>Drei der vier Schlafzimmer (2 Könige und eine Königin) und 2 Vollbäder befinden sich im Erdgeschoss, während sich das Kinderzimmer mit 2 Etagenbetten (ein Doppel- und ein Vollbett) im Erdgeschoss befindet. Das Kinderzimmer verfügt über einen 32-Zoll-HD-Fernseher (mit Direktfernsehen, DVD-Player und Wii-Konsole), sodass Sie stundenlang unterhalten werden! Erwachsene können spät im Erdgeschoss sein, vor dem Kamin hängen, fernsehen (es gibt einen im Schrank neben dem Kamin mit Direktfernsehen) und Zugang zur Küche usw. haben, ohne die Kinder zu stören. Das Obergeschoss Master und Queen Schlafzimmer haben Deckenventilatoren und direkten Zugang zum schönen Wrap-Around-Deck. Das Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett verfügt über ein angeschlossenes Badezimmer mit einer unglaublichen Whirlpool-Badewanne, sodass es sich im Wesentlichen um ein weiteres Hauptschlafzimmer handelt. Das Badezimmer wird mit dem 3. Schlafzimmer (nicht verbunden, aber direkt nebenan) geteilt und verfügt über ein handgefertigtes Kingsize-Bett, das von einem Möbeldesigner aus Asheville entworfen wurde. Der Liebessitz vor dem Kamin öffnet sich zu einem Bett, so dass Sie vor dem Kamin schlafen können, was wirklich eine schöne Eigenschaft ist. Daher gibt es insgesamt 2 Könige, 1 Königin, 3 Fülle und 3 Zwillinge (1 der Zwillinge ist die Ausziehcouch). Das Roost bietet Platz für 15 Personen, wenn Sie 2 Personen in Betten für die Könige, die Königin und die Vollzahler (keine Zwillinge) unterbringen.<br><br>Die Küche ist groß und verfügt über alle notwendigen Geräte, um für große Gruppen zu kochen. Es gibt auch einen Grill im Freien, der den Gästen zur Verfügung steht. An die Küche angeschlossen ist ein Frontlader-Wasch- und Trocknerset mit viel Waschmittel und Trocknerbezügen, sodass Sie jederzeit Wäsche waschen können. Die Kabine hat alle notwendigen Bettwäsche für die Betten und hat viele Handtücher, Wäsche waschen usw. <br><br>Das Roost liegt am Ende einer sehr langen Auffahrt, daher ist es ruhig und friedlich, ohne Straßenlärm. Auf dem Grundstück gibt es mehrere Wanderwege, die Sie erkunden können, sowie einen Bach, den Sie auf Ihrer Wanderung entdecken können. Jan 2021What an amazing time with family! The place was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Our families enjoyed playing games, pool, cards, foosball, and the kids were able to explore and be outside. We went hiking at Catawba Falls, which was absolutely amazing, especially with the kids, and my mom was able to visit The Biltmore, which has been on her wish list forever! Anything you want to do is at your fingertips, the house is in a perfect location. Honestly, it was such a perfect set-up and space for us, we will definitely be back!

Jul 2020We wanted a place that we could drive to and get out of the heat of florida so we rented the cabin for a week. Went for hikes to waterfalls, rafted down the French Broad, and cooked family meals each evening. Great stay.

Jul 2022We stayed here the week of my daughter’s wedding nearby and found this to be a perfect place to relax before and after the events. Super clean and well-appointed, wonderful setting. We enjoyed playing pool downstairs and hanging out on the wrap around deck sipping wine. Highly recommend!

May 2019We stayed at The Roost for five days during the weekend of our son's wedding in Asheville. It is located south of Asheville and about a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Asheville. There was plenty of room for 7 adults, 2 - 18 month old twins, and 2 dogs. Rich was great during the reservation process answering all my questions as we determined if this house would fit our needs. The home is comfortable and clean. The wrap-around porch with hot tub, as well as the lower level game room, were the areas where we spent so much of our time when we weren't running into Asheville for wedding events. Rich left excellent instructions on how to take care of his beautiful home while we stayed there. The towels are plush, the showers are already equipped with shampoo and soap. The home is at the end of a lane so it is private and quiet. We were there when the azaleas and rhododendrons were in bloom - the property is just beautiful! We would definitely stay at The Roost again with our family!

Mar 2019We stayed at The Roost for almost an entire week, and we never wanted to leave. The hot tub every night under the stars was magical, and the entertainment downstairs was enough to entertain 7 adults consistently. The proximity to Asheville was also wonderful, took about 20 minutes door to downtown. Additionally, the close commute to several breweries was a huge plus for us! Overall, 10/10 would recommend anybody come stay at this home for their Asheville vacation. The owner was attentive but not overbearing, the house was pristine and clean, and everything we needed was provided.

Apr 2021We have stayed in many cabins over the years and this was by far the cleanest and most well accommodated. We had a wonderful time with family. Rich was exceptionally responsive to our needs.

Rich alzo helped me secure a local photographer who was able to do a family picture sitting. Rich kept us updated with any questions we had with the cabin. Great host, great experience, great area.

The kitchen is well stocked with about any spice or condiment you would need. Check in/out super easy! Rich is a great host with thoughtful touches throughout the space. He really wants you to enjoy his home! Plenty of space to spread out! Corn hole on the deck and the hot tub after a hike to Catawba Falls and many pool match memories! Close to downtown Ashville and awesome dining. We are already making plans to go back! Highly recommend!

Jun 2018We had an amazing family vacation thanks to the thoughtfulness of this property. It rained for 75% of our trip but it didn't phase us. We had a blast with all the fun activities in this house. The beds and pillows are also super comfy. Its wonderfully secluded and a beautiful property.

If you are looking for a cozy getaway in the woods that is not TOO far from civilization, this is it! The Roost is ideal for kids and adults alike (we had some babies in our party and the nighttime crying sound definitely carries throughout the house, but if you are past that stage...there is so much to do at this property that you will barely want to leave!). Rich was very easy to communicate with, and we would love to stay again in the future!

May 2021We had 2 families stay at The Roost and all 9 of us give it a 10 out of 10! Setup is awesome and the 5 “kids” (all adults) loved the downstairs which is perfect for games and movie nights. They all also loved the hot tub. The upstairs was perfect for the “old folks” and great for family dinners. Place was very clean and communication with the owner was timely and helpful. The Roost is very convenient to the Biltmore (our 6th visit there) and downtown Asheville (the drive to the Baked Pie Company is well worth it). We highly recommend The Roost!

Apr 2021We enjoyed our stay so much at this house. The house is so beautiful and so much fun. Everything was very user friendly and the property owner was great about communicating and left the lights on for our arrival so it was easier to find. There is a grocery store and restaurants not too far away. We had some groceries and supplies we needed delivered. It is a little tricky to find especially at night when you first arrive. It was an easy drive to and from Asheville and the Blue Ridge parkway so the mountains are close. The decorated beautifully and we will absolutely be returning especially because there is so much to do at the house too! Thanks so much! C

It’s located in such a beautiful part of NC not to far from activities you may like to do but also somewhere you can just take time out and relax. We loved our last night around the fire pit where we were able to reflect and share as a family. I loved all the small little touches the owner had done in the home to make us feel so welcome.. We would highly recommend this property to friends and already planning our trip back. Best holiday ever

Jan 2022This large home is located on a secluded lot in the woods and offers lots of activities (even in the winter). Only 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. Our family enjoyed the expansive lower level, hot tub and space to spread out. Room for folks to do remote work while others hung out upstairs. Extremely responsive owner and manager!

Dec 2020This is a beautifully maintained cabin with plenty of space for groups with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and extra sleeping options. It has a large outdoor deck with a hot tub and a fire pit on the property. The kitchen is well-stocked; probably the best of any vrbo we have stayed in.

Nov 2018The Roost was the perfect getaway for our Friendsgiving. You can really see the thoughtfulness and personal touches Rich has put into making this house a home for his guest. Practically everything is provided and well stocked. We have been to Asheville many times, this trip however was more of a staycation for our group, as we did not leave the home unless we needed to run the the store. The two grocery stores are 5-10 minutes from the home, however the closest liquor store is 30+ mins out, so be prepared! We cooked a family meal every night and the kitchen had everything needed from a crockpot to serving bowls. There were plenty of activities on the property to keep us busy through out the day. We did go hiking at chimney rock one day, which was not very far from the home. I would highly recommend staying at the Roost if you are in the area! We will definitely be back again :)

Jun 2019The Roost was a perfect place for us to stay. It was very well appointed and had all of the amenities of home. In fact, we did not expect it to have everything we could think about so we brought along some things we would need--totally unnecessary!
The cottage is surrounded by woods, yet very accessible to the main roads and only a 25-minute trip to downtown Asheville. We really liked the location because we got to visit the Biltmore Estate and Chimney Rock--both within a short driving distance. We had younger ones with the oldest only 2 and a half--yet, there were no issues with space or when they needed to nap--plenty of rooms that we could keep them close by, yet not disturb their beauty rest.
While we did not play to many of the games, the lower level has all sorts of entertainment and is very well lit. The young adults enjoyed the hot tub while I enjoyed the comfort of using the very large gas grill to cook us a couple of meals. Finally, the ability to use the outdoor fire pit was truly wonderful to bring on that campfire feeling.
We loved the roost and would highly recommend it to others!

Dec 2020The Roost really has everything! We are two families on our annual hunt for a Christmas tree and The Roost was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone (teens!) to spread out, an 8 person hot tub, we even had great weather!

Jul 2020The layout was great for our multi-generational trip with plenty of space to spread out, a variety of games for entertainment, and many options for relaxation. Good proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking and downtown for takeout. A grocery store and pharmacy are just a few miles away.
The house stands apart for being well-stocked--from extra towels for muddy feet and dogs to pantry basics, we had everything we could possibly need. We've rented five different houses in the Asheville area over the past few years for family trips, and this one stands out among the rest for its cleanliness, comfort, and location. Highly recommend.

It is so close to so many amazing sites that we barely had time to enjoy the games and spa but managed to squeeze it all in.
Rich is a very gracious host and even checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was to our expectations.
We highly recommend this home for whatever your vacation interest are.

Jan 2021The house has absolutely everything you need and want. We were lucky enough to have snow during our stay and the Roost was magical. The game room downstairs is perfect for a group to hang out and have multiple entertainment options; pool, arcade games, Foos ball, poker, tv, music. The hot tub was another favorite spot. A hike around the property takes you to the cutest little creek. The kitchen has literally anything you’ll need and the pantry was surprisingly full of many cooking essentials. Rich was very helpful and communication was prompt. If you’re looking for a spacious place to enjoy the mountains and a stress free vacation I highly recommend the Roost.
