Jan 2018Wonderful experience. The loft upstairs was perfect for the kids to sleep and hangout. The dining/kitchen area was perfect for cooking and hanging out since it would get really cold out at night. The refrigerator was very spacious and fit all the food we took for the weekend. Also there was a really cool stairway to the lake. There is plenty of public places to play in the snow on highway 18 towards Big Bear. The master bedroom is very romantic but also very spacious just in case. . .

Aug 2021We took our three teens (2 in college) and two dogs on a Lake getaway and this house was just what the doctor ordered. Covid fatigue had set in so we needed an escape from it all. No news, just games, puzzles and outdoor time together fishing, playing volleyball down at the beach, swimming , doing walks on the lake trail and playing corn hole (we brought our set from home). This was one of our best family vacations and Victoria's house was like home away from home. One of the best memories will be experiencing the bats that come out on the lake trail at dusk. My daughter and I were so amazed by them! They were all around us, chasing bugs. It was so neat! The chipmunks were also entertaining. The birds too! AND the raccoons! It's so nice to get away and be with nature in the beautiful Lake Arrowhead surroundings. Oh and there was a huge lightening storm last night and the master bedroom has an amazing covered deck to sit and watch the rain and lightening on a comfy porch swing! Such great memories...The location of this house was superb. You could go straight down to your own quaint beach or walk to the Village (takes about 35 minutes). So beautiful. This house is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need to cook and relax. The huge tv was a bonus to watch the Olympics on! We also brought a Nintendo switch so was fun to play Wheel of Fortune as a family on it. We honestly can't wait to come back. I wish it were for sale. We'd make an offer! Thanks again, Vickie, for sharing your lovely warm space with us and for allowing our fur kids to be a part of the vacation. We will for sure come back this winter!

Aug 2022We had Great Lake views. But private lake access is a separate fee and it’s tiny. We thought we could see the fireworks from the balcony but the other houses blocked the view so we didn’t get to see much. Streets were narrow and tiny. Didn’t help that we brought trucks haha. Overall tho was cute and nice.

Dec 2019We had chosen this place for a small family get together because it had pretty good reviews and it fit our budget. Soon after booking I realized what we were in for. First off, we were instructed by the owner to clean the house up, specifically to pick up our trash, empty trash out and take trash bags outside after leaving, to make sure not leave out any dirty dishes, to remove all pillows case and bed sheets from all beds and take them to the laundry room. We did all that was instructed and were still charge a full cleaning fee. 2nd, the hot water did not work our first night and with 9 people in a 40 degree weather, this was a huge inconvenience, no one was able to take a shower. I tried texting, calling the owner about the issue but I got no response ever. 3rd the house was infested with flies, the flies were everywhere. Lastly the place is severally outdated, curtains were old and dusty, sofas were dirty. I tried to reach out to customer service about my complaints but they said they couldn't help me or give me owners contact information. Also the place is a lot smaller than it seems in the pictures. I will say however the location was great and the owner was nice enough to allow us to check in 2 hours earlier. Needless to say we will be staying here or using this website for our future stays.

Jul 2020We had a lovely time at this property. Vicki was very responsive and attentive. It was great to get away and relax!!Only downside is the association rules and the paperwork hoops we had to jump through to use the lake for kayaking and paddle boarding. Certainly not the owners fault as rules are rules.

Sep 2019We had a great time. The property is a bit smaller than the pictures, but it still very spacious. It had everything we needed for the stay. There are a lot of stairs, which I did not mind. The lake also seemed much closer in the pictures, we weren’t too sure if we were able to swim, being that it looks like a private area for boats. My only complaint was when I was ready to grill, both propane tanks were empty, and my husband had to make phone calls to figure out the nearest place that was open to fill one up. But other than that, love it. I totally recommend this property.

Jul 2020We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Easy access to the lake and hiking trail that goes around the lake. Perfect for dogs. Vicki was a great host and responded promptly to all of our questions. We left a laptop behind and Vicki was very helpful in returning it to us! We would rent this property again.

The location is great, near shops, groceries, restaurants and even a few family-fun spots! The view is gorgeous and surprisingly, we got zero mosquito bites despite being so near the lake in warm weather. We would definitely book this property again, hopefully for a longer stay next time!

Sep 2019This was our first experience with VRBO. All went smoothly. Communication with the owner was supberb! Lockbox easy access. Location great. Just beware of the many steps, as is expected with a lakefront property. Great experience & will do it again!

Aug 2018This charming cabin has many positive features: great location and view of the lake beyond the trees; access to the walking path around the lake, excellent floor plan (especially for two spry people who don't mind climbing many stairs), comfortable beds and master bathroom, lots of natural light, comfortable balconies with lake views plus, it is dog friendly. Why only three stars? The entire cabin inside and outside needs a thorough professional cleaning and decluttering!

Our party of 8 slept comfortably and had plenty of room with 3 different levels to relax in. Beach and fishing was less than a minute walk away! We caught trout! Owner was a pleasure to work with. Easy check in and out! Highly recommend! Looking to book in the summer soon!!

Aug 2022Returned to this property after staying here as a family two years ago during Covid quarantine. Spot was just a sweet the second time. We love hanging there with our four kiddos age 13-20. Thumbs up from this family of 6!

Oct 2017My family enjoyed our getaway at this cabin at Lake Arrowhead. By family I mean two dogs, two kiddos, my wife and myself. It's tough to travel with all of us but since this place is dog-friendly and has plenty beds we were able to come up for some mountain air for a weekend!
It's only a few minutes from the Village so we went and got a bonus of showing up for Oktoberfest which I highly recommend.
It was nice that the cabin had all the basics necessary so I wouldn't have to pack them. We hiked around the lake using the hiking trails just below the cabin and the kids jumped in the water with the dogs for a bit right off the beach in front.
It didn't have a hottub but we did use the jacuzzi bath tub. Wifi wasn't the fastest but I understand thats just how it is up in the mountains. For the money, I have no complaints! If you've got dogs and kids and want to get away to the lake for a weekend I'd recommend it. I might go back in the winter to see the snow.

Jan 2022Loved the location and beautiful view. Property Manger/owner was very accommodating! House was clean and overly stocked with more than you could ever need including a crockpot! Felt comfortable immediately! My only suggestion would be to possibly add a loveseat downstairs in the master near the fireplace and move the bed. Room is huge with lots of unused space. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Oct 2018Just like home with all the cooking amenties but with a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom! We enjoyed three nights here and were still discovering the lake area trails when we had to go home. We always take our own feather pillows and would recommend others do the same but there is plenty of room on three floors for a couple plus a whole other family.

Fairly basic accommodations, but the beds we’re comfortable and everything was fairly clean. Screens missing in several windows - would have been good to have for nighttime air circulation.
