We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hammett’s Crossing. The owners were very cordial and available. The cottage was extremely peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. It is central to many shopping areas that are not too awful far away. The lower deck near the creek was almost like sitting in heavenly places, as you could hear the babbling of the brook. If you like seclusion and peace and quiet, this is the place to go. We loved it!

If you like seclusion and peace and quiet, this is the place to go. We loved it!

We rented it because we were going to my nieces wedding in dripping springs and we have a dog. We needed to leave her there while at the wedding and didn’t want to leave her in a hotel room. Although my husband worried about her everything was fine. And we really appreciated our hosts offering to watch out for her and to take her for a walk while we were gone. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. But we will probably be going back soon. It’s a great place!

We recommend this cabin enthusiastically! The hosts were organized and welcoming. The cabin was cozy and perfectly equipped. Probably the only cabin in the state where you can enjoy the family tortoise- Sammy. Sit on the porch and listen to the river. View the stars. Splash in beautiful Hamilton Pool and hike at the nearby ranch park. There is much to do and the cabin is in the heart of it. Great visits with the hosts. Kids will love friendly Frankie the dog and the goats. Be sure to arrange breakfast - Patty’s buttermilk biscuits are fabulous! Wayne and Patty get 5 stars from us. Laurie and Roger

We really enjoyed our weekend at Hammett’s Crossing. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was perfect and the breakfast was amazing.

We loved every detail about the place! The online photos don’t do this place justice, the creek area was beautiful and we loved spending the morning on the porch with the hummingbirds! Highly recommend! If you go grab some Lebanese food from the food trunk nearby!

Very clean and beautiful cabin, great hill country view. We loved the porch where we had our coffee in the morning. David was very helpful in giving us suggestions where to eat and visit places. I highly recommend this cabin. We are planning to go again in the near future.

This out of the way property was great. Beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend.

This is our second time to stay and it was just as great as the first. We enjoyed getting back to nature and family time. David and Patti are wonderful as well. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a one of a kind listing. It is so quiet and peaceful! The hosts are welcoming and the property is secluded and relaxing. Highly recommend!

This is a beautifully designed cabin with a beautiful view. Close to many activities. Beautiful area of Texas. One thing to be aware of is that it is on property with the owner, so not truly secluded. But, still worth a stay.

This house sits at the back of the owner's property, overlooking serene tree tops, and looking down to Cypress Creek. The remoteness is divine. We were delighted with the adventure of trekking down the steep stairwell leading down to the creek to bask in all the beautiful large trees and expansive roots exposed through clear water, looping around and over the rocks. Absolutely stunning scenery. The deck overlooking the creek is lovely for meditating or relaxing and reading a book in complete isolation, surrounded by nature, with not a sound to be heard except the birds singing and the sound of the creek running.Watching the sunrise from the side deck each morning was nurturing for the soul. I didn't want to leave.Also, there are friendly goats to visit with if you choose. We stayed here for quick access to Reimer's Ranch for rock climbing. The location was perfect. The owners were so kind and accommodating.Worth noting, you cannot drive your car directly up to the cabin. There is a lovely walkway leading back to the cabin, which is probably 40 or 50 yards long. It was no problem at all for us. We enjoyed the meander, seeing the goats and gazing at the birds at the bird feeders each time we trekked to the car.

This adorable house is in a great part of Texas. You're near the owner's main house and they are always there to offer helpful advice when you leave/return. Their dogs and goats were a hit with the kids!

The wife and I went to this property, and were met with friendly faces and a lovely place to stay. We had a wonderful time , the view from the house was beautiful. We had coffee on the porch every morning and enjoyed both the breath taking view of the hill country, and the hummingbirds would be there every morning and afternoon for us to enjoy. We were able to take the Harley, on a trailer and had plenty of room to leave the trailer, and ride the roads in the hill country. Our host were great, and we enjoyed the animals, that they care for. Sammy a very large tortoise that they care for was really interesting. In the afternoon we would walk down to the lower deck, which overlooks the creek, to have a drink and wind down. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to just get away for a few days and relax.

The property was just what we expected from the listing. beautiful cabin and super friendly property owners. Directions were spot on. the hike to the creek was an experience and enough exercise for a year.
