May 2022We were in the area celebrating our daughter's graduation from SUNY Geneseo. Abbywood was the perfect setting for our celebration! The log cabin is clean and well stocked. The setting is beautiful with Lake Ontario right out the back door! Our teenage children enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I highly recommend this home as a getaway destination!

Aug 2022We wanted someplace we could go with our daughters and their husband/fiancé and our 11 1/2 month old grandson. This house was absolutely perfect!! Very kid friendly extremely clean and just a beautiful home.

Jul 2021We traveled from our home in Philadelphia to Webster, NY for my Mother's funeral. Our options were three hotel rooms in a chain hotel or Linda & Richard's lake home. It was an easy decision...at Applewood, we were family instead of hallway residents. After all the funeral obligations my brother and sisters came back to the house, sat in the spacious living room (with lots of sofas) and talked about family. For us, on this sad occasion, it was a perfect place.
Aside from the view pf the lake and the cleanliness of the home, I couldn't help but notice how well thought out the home was. The restored school desk in one corner of the dining room was matched by a kid's blackboard hanging on the wall nearby. Above the sink in the master bathroom was a cabinet with little things like a box of band-aids and the kitchen was well stocked.
I hope to bring my family back to Applewood for future, more joyful, family gatherings.

Mar 2021We thought the property was as advertised. Clean, warm comfortable place and we had whatever we needed. We had a great group of people and we just laughed and enjoyed ourselves all weekend. Aug 2020We loved this property so much. It was so peaceful and comfortable and charming! It had everything we wanted in a lake getaway. The view is spectacular and the owners were so responsive. Definitely returning!

Dec 2020We just stayed at Abbywood and it was perfect. My wife and I brought our dogs and met my dad for a week of fishing. Ralph and Linda were excellent on communication and exceedingly understanding when I shifted our dates and then shifted them back. We stay in VRBO homes a lot, and this house is a true gem.

Jun 2022We have rented Abbeywood 3 times now. This was the 1st time during summer. The views are amazing. There is nature all around. On the back deck, you cam hear and see the lake. It is so peaceful. The kitchen has everything you need and Ralph and Linda are great hosts!

Aug 2021We had a great time at this quiet cabin on Lake Ontario. The view was fantastic, but I wish there was direct access to the lake. Wildlife frequented the yard daily. Whitetail doe and her twins were a treat to see. We enjoyed the local zoo, Sodus Point Beach, and Letchworth State Park. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Apr 2022We had a great stay in this unique log home. With 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms it’s like being at home for a family of 4. The view is awesome and location was perfect for us to compete at the Webster Aquatic Center. If we compete there again, we would absolutely book this house!

Sep 2022We booked this house for our wedding at the Webster arboretum so that the Bridal party would have some great photo ops and plenty of space. It was more than we hoped for and was a nice place to relax with the wedding party after all the planning and celebrating.

Oct 2022Very secluded yet close to amenities. Abbeywood had everything we needed, plus some surprises. Didn't find the basement with game room, laundry, and exercise equipment until the last day. Fell in love with the massive log cabin construction and atmosphere. Would recommend and stay again.

Kitchen nicely stocked, the patio deck was perfect and the gates at the the top of the patio steps were wonderful for containing our furry friends. A quiet retreat with beautiful sunsets on the lake. Jan 2022This was our second stay at this property. It is so comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedding and linens are clean and plentiful, the beds are comfortable, and the view of the lake is amazing. We can't wait to rent it again during the summer!

Oct 2022This is a lovely, well-kept property that had plenty of room for our family and our dog. The house is located right on the lake with a beautiful view from the family room, near lots of trails and family-friendly activities. We could not have had a more wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Jun 2020This is a beautiful, comfortable house, with a homey feeling. Loooove all the wooden decorations and artwork! The wonderful deck is a great place to watch the sunset over lake Ontario. The kitchen is very well-stocked and an easy place to make meals. We all slept fantastic on the comfortable beds. Great, timely communication with the owner. Thank you!!!!
