Apr 2023We were 3 families with children ranging in age from 9-16. Chalet Nicola was perfect for a large group. Plenty of room for all of us and lots of privacy given that every bedroom has its own bathroom. The view from the chalet is gorgeous! We did not have a car during our week skiing the 4 vallees region and the chalet was positioned in a great spot walkable (albeit up a steep hill) to everything we needed - grocery store, restaurants, bars, Télécabine. We rented lockers for our ski equipment near the Télécabine which made it easier. The boot room is great with lots of space for everybody’s gear with a large drying rack. The kids loved the hot tub and the sauna. The chalet was clean, had everything we needed and we would love to come back !!

- No ski in / ski out
- Not ideal without a car (5 min steep uphill walk from the nearest bus station, 5 min walk to the gondola)
- Small double beds (~ 1.4m - 1.6m)
- 12 people is probably the max ideal occupancy for adults, as the living room and kitchen don't comfortably fit more people. Not a problem for us though, as we were only 10.

Feb 2022Chalet Nicola is a lovely place and in a lovely location. We were a group of 15, (4 families) and there was so much space for all of us. Little touches like the games room, boot room, big American style fridge freezer, 2 dishwashers and great water pressure all made it very enjoyable and convenient for a great ski trip. However, you definitely need snow tyres or snow chains to get up there in the winter as it is a winding, icy steep road also good snow boots for walking up and down the hill after skiing. Also, be mindful there is only space for 3 cars as not both garages are for Chalet Nicola. We would definitely recommend for a big group ski holiday!

Feb 2022Convenient, stiff 750 m walk to lift and grocery. Facilities including, showers, kitchen, sauna, hot tub, wifi and access to music, etc up to very good. Excellent view into the valley. Parking spaces at house are limited to 3 spaces and bring your own firewood.

Jan 2021Das Chalet Nicola hat eine sehr gute Lage mit einer traumhaften Aussicht in die Berge und das Tal.
Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist viel Platz im ganzen Haus vorhanden. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, sogar zwei Racletteofen und Fonduecaquelon sind vorhanden. 7 Zimmer, alle mit Bad, geben viel Privatsphäre für alle Gäste. Die ganze Abwicklung mit Nicola hat perfekt funktioniert, sehr freundlich und professionell!

Jan 2020We had a wonderful stay, we were really impressed by the chalet! It is perfect for a big group of several families, very comfortable, cleaned, well equipped and the space is extremely well organized. Each family had its own private space (bedroom and bathroom), and in addition we had a fantastic living room and play room where we could enjoy the time together, as well as enjoy the view on the mountains. We also loved the sauna and external hot tub, perfect for apres-ski. The chalet also a skiing room at the entrance, with plenty of room to leave skiing equipment and clothes, which we found very practical.
The location is perfect close to the slopes (the telecabine could be reached by foot).
Getting in touch with the owner was very easy, he always responded very quickly, providing us with all the information we needed.
We really had a perfect holidays, we would definitely repeat this again!

Nov 2019We stayed as a large group of friends, there were 13 of us! Everything was perfect! The chalet was absolutely amazing! Could not have asked for anything better! Great location easily accessible to the local town where there were plenty of bars and restaurants and small supermarkets that have everything you need! The view is absolutely amazing. The chalet itself is so clean and open with a good layout for everyone. Would definitely recommend staying here! We will definitely be back again!

Aug 2019We were looking for a chalet in Switzerland for a family celebration holiday and we found it in Chalet Nicola. A well maintained clean and with all the necessary equipment required. It is in an ideal location with amazing views. Because it was so spacious we never felt cramped

Aug 2019We were a family group of 12 adults and 3 small children arriving from several different areas in Europe. Check in was a problem as the key was not in the lock box and we were unable to reach the owner. Through a neighbor, we were able to contact the cleaning woman who let us in after 2 hours. Otherwise everything was wonderful and the owner consented to let us have a longer time to check out to compensate us for our troubles. The house was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visiting this area of Switzerland. I would certainly recommend this house to others and would stay here again.

Dec 2018The chalet is so amazing. Stayed there over Christmas 2018 and we loved every moment of it. The view is spectacular and the chalet is huge. Would 100% stay there again!

May 2018The chalet was absolutely fantastic. The chalet has recently been updated with all new AV equipment, New flat panel TV’s in every bedroom. New Bose system. The chalet is very spacious with every amenity that you could possibly need. The playroom is fantastic as is the jacuzzi and sauna. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk from both the village with shops, bars and restaurants and the ski lifts.

The only thing to keep in mind is the steep walk at the last part to the chalet. Its a nice workout. But the chalet is worth the walk.
Would go back to visit the chalet again.

Dec 2017I just got back from a 4 day stay at Chalet Nicola with a group of 11 ladies. The chalet was amazing, clean, modern and very well equipt. It was walking distance to shops bars and restaurants, the ice rink etc. The hill walking home at the end of the day was tough but not a problem. The owners were very helpful and answered any enquiry quickly. We all loved our stay at the Chalet and hope to return one day.

Oct 2017I celebrated my 30th birthday with friends and couldn't be more pleased with the accommodation, communication with hosts, professionalism and comfort. Plus, it's close to some beautiful hiking trails, which is a great way to mix up the jacuzzi/sauna time with some exercise :) The views from the chalet are absolutely stunning and the pictures match reality. I would recommend this chalet to anyone, who wants to celebrate in style :) Thanks again, Nicola and Stephen!

Jan 2017We stayed in chalet Nicola for a week in January. Inside it is just as beautiful as the pictures suggest with absolutely stunning views across the mountains. The kitchen was well stocked for home cooking and we enjoyed the location- with just a short walk to the ski lifts and apres ski bars. Perfect for us, and I would definitely love to come back again. All our group were more than happy with the place.

Dec 2016Chalet Nicola, is an impressive chalet ideal for large families or groups. Our group consisting of 2 families totalling 8, with 4 adults and 4 children aged 3-11, each family took a floor each which worked well and we had more than enough space. The chalet has been well designed and thought out, everything just works perfectly. From the large boot room ideal for housing all your gear after a day on the slopes or out and about, keeping the house clutter free. The large open plan living space with the huge table to accommodate even the largest groups. The kids favourite, being the play room keeping them entertained and the grown ups favourite being the hot tub, no better place to unwind after a busy day with a glass of wine and soak up the fabulous views.

Nov 2016I stayed at Nicola's chalet for three nights with two good family friends and all our children. We had 6 adults and 8 children and the place and location was simply perfect. Plenty of room and everything you could possibly need. The views are simply stunning. You will need snow chains if snow is on the ground to get up to the chalet. I found that out the hard way! I would absolutely recommend to anybody. It was like vacationing in a snow globe!

Apr 2016This is our second time renting Chalet Nicola.......and I hope we can book it again next year. My boyfriend and I brought my whole family here in 2015. There were 7 of us. We really didn't even want to leave to go sightseeing. This Chalet was so accommodating to our every need. We spent time in the hot tub taking in the breathtaking views, the kids loved the game room, I loved the sauna and soaking in the big tub in the Master Suite, we cooked memorable meals together and ate them at your beautiful dining room table with amazing views, and we made daily trips to the local bakeries. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you can imagine needing! The owners are very nice, professional and easy to communicate with. The financial transaction went very smooth. We highly recommend this Chalet.......you will not be disappointed. It will exceed your expectations!

Dec 2014My wife, 5 year old daughter, and I, along with my best friend and his girlfriend, spent a week at Chalet Nicola in April 2014. The chalet was absolutely amazing in every way possible. It greatly exceeded our already high expectations of the place. We still miss sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the amazing views and fresh mountain air and the sound and smell of the fireplace at night.
The owners were very quick to respond to every email we sent. The financial transactions were a breeze. We're from the US and this is the first time we have rented a property in a foreign country. Any apprehension we had was quickly put to rest by our interaction with the owners. We so enjoyed our time at Chalet Nicola that my best friend and his girlfriend plan to rent the chalet again in '15 and bring her family this time. That is the best endorsement we can give Chalet Nicola. Out of 10's of thousands of rental properties across Europe, they are going back to Chalet Nicola!

Dec 2013This magnificent luxury chalet gave us a fantastic getaway with friends. We are a family with young children as were our friends and this chalet provided more than everything we needed for a hassle-free and relaxing mountain break. The chalet is extremely spacious, yet feels very cosy and is immaculately presented. Through the panoramic windows it offers an amazing view of the valley below and the surrounding mountains.
It was a pleasure dealing with the owners, who responded quickly to our enquiries and were very helpful.
With young children we were unfortunately unable to fully exploit what Nendaz had to offer but with the chalet's proximity (walking distance) to bars, restaurants and lifts it's a great destination for all types of visitor.
One comment, if arriving by car, ensure you have snow tyres and chains as access up to the chalet may be challenging depending on snowfall.
We would definitely recommend this chalet to our friends and family and we look forward to booking again.

Feb 2010Just spent an amazing week at Chalet Nicola. Its absolutely gorgeous there and the team looked after us incredibly well. Its spacious, very well equipped with a lot of fun extras and, I think, exactly as described.
Having the van to pick our group up from Sion and transport us to and from the telecabine was fantastic as well.
The team were excellent and I probably don't know enough words to say how good the food was! A great chalet for a group of friends or family group.
Minor comments (very minor). the entertainment system at times didn't work and its a bit complicated to operate, even for the chalet staff! Also provision wasn't made for clearing up dinner/breakfast stuff during the chalet staff's day off, which should be done. However overall it's an excellent (and modern) chalet in a great location and our group was looked after from start to finish. Not sure I lifted a finger or my skis all week! I would definitely recommend the chalet to friends.
