Befindlich in Canton of Valais, dieses schön ganze hütte für EUR 250 pro Nacht ist ein phantastisch Auswahl für Ihr nächstes Pause. Dieses schöne Chalet mit 4 Schlafzimmern für 8 bis 10 Personen liegt oberhalb des Dorfes Grimentz und nur 200 m von der Piste entfernt. Bei geeigneten Schneeverhältnissen kann ein guter Skifahrer virtuell in die Hintertür hineinfahren.
Es ist 700 m von der (kostenlosen) Skibushaltestelle entfernt, die nur 5 Fahrminuten vom Hauptlift entfernt ist. Alternativ können Sie ein paar Minuten fahren und am Bahnhof parken. Der Lift ist im Sommer für Wanderer und Mountainbiker und im Winter für Skifahrer geöffnet.
Das Chalet ist voll möbliert mit einem an der Wand montierten Fernseher mit eingebautem DVD-Player, Hi-Fi-Anlage und kostenlosem Internetzugang. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit modernen Geräten wie Backofen, Herd, Geschirrspüler und Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach.

Von dort aus gibt es eine Menge nicht überfüllter Pisten für Anfänger bis Fortgeschrittene. Ihr Skipass für Grimentz gilt auch für die Nachbardörfer St. Luc, Chandolin, Vercorin und Zinal und bietet insgesamt 220 Pistenkilometer sowie ein riesiges Gebiet abseits der Pisten. Ein kostenloser Shuttlebus verkehrt während der gesamten Skisaison zwischen den anderen Dörfern. Verbier ist 90 Autominuten und Crans Montana eine Stunde entfernt.

Oct 2021Umgebung ist schön, aber nichts für Kinder um die Jahreszeit in der nähe oder beim Haus. Schöner Woh.-un Essbereich.
Der Untere Stock Klamm, Kühl; Die Bettwäsche sehr viele gelbe Flecken, auf 2 Kissen Schimmelflecken so auch auf dem Duschvorhang und in einem Bad an der Decke. Die Sepperate Dusche Abfluss verstopft, das eine faulen modrigen Geruch im UG verbreitete. Die Matratzen sind nicht angenehm; dünn. Bei der Dusche wollte mann mit Abflussfrei nachbessern, ohne Erfolg. Wir waren froh dass wir unsere eigene Bettwäsche dabei hatten. Die Seperaten Zimmer sind klein. Das alles wurde auf Fotos festgehalten und Dokumentiert. Reklamation war an den Eigentümer.
Fazit : Gegend Schön, ohne Schnee nichts für Kinder. Das brauch man kein 2. mal.!!!

It was a perfect weekend. The house and the area is really nice. Also the host was super nice.
We can recommend it and will definitely come back.

Oct 2020We loved our week in Grimentz at this beautiful authentic chalet. It was so wRm with floor heat all over and very cosy around the woodstove. Our communications with Alinand Dave were great, although it would be advisable to arrive at the chalet before dark the first day! The driveway is just a little narrow at the beginning but opens up to a very large parking area. We have a long vw van and it was fine! The liberty pass for the gondolas is really nice. The kitchen is well equipped.

Het chalet is van alle gemakken voorzien.

Sep 2018Two families stayed here in September. We loved our stay and the place. The deck and views were amazing. It was the highest place in Grimentz but getting to town was pretty easy by following the trail down the mountain. The chalet was laid out well and it had everything we needed. We would certainly stay here again, winter or summer!

Oct 2017Ali & Dave were excellent hosts! We arrived by bus with no car to reach the chalet and Ali was kind enough to drive half of our group up and get them settled. The walk up for the rest of us was fairly strenuous, but very doable even with groceries in tow. Ali and Dave were also kind enough to bring back some toilet paper, as we didn't realize we would need to provide our own. We stayed in the summer, and the hikes were beautiful and lifts up the mountains were still taking people up to see the views and hike back down for a very reasonable price. The kitchen is well equipped. Wifi worked for us - we mostly used it for sharing pictures amongst each other and searching for food and activities. If you want to use it for anything more important it might prove frustrating.... but just look out the window instead. We had 4 adult couples and there was plenty of room and bathroom space for all of us. We would highly recommend staying here! PS if you get a clear night don't forget to look up at the stars! I would also recommend getting up for the sunrise if there are any clouds around to catch the colors. Both are stunning!

Apr 2014What a fantastic place. As I ascended from the village and looked back, I felt like I was in a remake of that classic movie 'Where Eagles Dare'.
Whether you ski these amazing mountains (in winter), hike them (in summer), or merely come to sit and read books in utter tranquillity with spectacular views across the valley, 'Haut Cinq' is the best Chalet I have ever stayed in. In my long stay here at the end of last season, I was fortunate enough to get the best of both worlds.
And for those of you that are amateur astronomers, pack your telescope. The lack of air pollution and the lack of light pollution, give a view of the night sky that will inspire children and adults alike.
I arrived a tired, over worked, hedge fund employee. I left refreshed, and with better perspective on what matters in life.
Oh, and for those concerned with practical matters, it was well equipped and spotlessly presented. Everything I needed was there. I note a comment below about it having a small TV. If you come to a place with views as awe inspiring as this, and want to sit and watch TV... shame on you.
I will be back. There are so many more runs down the mountain, and walks up them, to be explored.

Mar 2014Haut Cinq really wears well it's name. High five all the way! From the first time we communicated with Ali and Dave until our return, they had been extremly helpful. The photos do good justice for what you get. The chalet is very warm, cosy with plenty of room for our family gathering of 10 people. The view is breath taking but a car is needed to get around. For people who love to cook as we do, the kitchen is very well equiped to keep 5 chefs busy at the same time. The fridge is also very specious and the beds are very comfortable. Val d'Anniviers has been a beautiful discovery for our family and we will be back for sure!

Mar 2014The description of the house is not complete. The house is located a 1 hour walk from the village and shops (up and down). Of course you can take the car but after heavy snow fall it is not easy to drive up and down (you will need chains to leave the parking area). When snow is lacking walking to the slopes (10 minutes) is the only solution (or take the bus to town also a 15-20 minute walk to busstop) Most interior is Ikea origin and worn out, bought probably 10 years ago when the chalet was build. The kitchen is a mess and storage for food is lacking. The beds are placed 20cm off the ground.Hot water is empty after 4-5 showers, not very convenient when you rent out to 8-10 guests. The bed upstairs on the mezzanine is a joke, the bunk bed is meant for children. The TV set is a 21 inch, way too small for the available space and standard of the house. Last but not least the Wifi signal is only strong enough in the upper floor, in the bedrooms the reception is too weak or lacking. In all an overrated house which needs organization and investment to support its high price. Extra star for the available space in the house, the view and beautiful fireplace.

The bed upstairs on the mezzanine is a joke, the bunk bed is meant for children. The TV set is a 21 inch, way too small for the available space and standard of the house. Last but not least the Wifi signal is only strong enough in the upper floor, in the bedrooms the reception is too weak or lacking. In all an overrated house which needs organization and investment to support its high price. Extra star for the available space in the house, the view and beautiful fireplace.
