Das Chalet befindet sich in Bluche, einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe von Crans-Montana. Bluche hat vier Restaurants und einen kleinen Supermarkt.
Golf: Es gibt drei 18-Loch-Golfplätze in der Region, Tageskarten können für etwa 40 EUR gekauft werden:
in Crans, in Sierre (15 Kilometer) und in Sion (20 Kilometer). Für weitere Details fragen Sie uns bitte.
Ski: Unterhalb des 3000 m hohen Gletschers Plaine Morte findet man ein Skigebiet, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Skifahrer und Snowboarder, vom Anfänger bis zum Könner, finden hier eine grosse Auswahl an geeigneten Pisten. Neben Skifahren und Snowboarden kann man auch Skibob fahren oder, wenn man eine weniger adrenalingeladene Freizeitbeschäftigung bevorzugt, langlaufen.
Da es weit oberhalb der Schneegrenze liegt, kann man auf der Plaine Morte das ganze Jahr über Ski fahren.
Die unteren Pisten haben eine sehr gute Schneelage. Zudem sorgen mehr als 150 Beschneiungsanlagen dafür, dass die Pisten in einem erstklassigen Zustand sind. Das Gebiet Crans-Montana-Aminona wird von einer großen Anzahl moderner Skilifte erschlossen. Die Ques sind daher praktisch unbekannt.
Ein attraktives Merkmal des Skigebiets Crans-Montana-Aminona ist, dass man das gesamte Gebiet von Crans-Cry'd Erre im Westen bis Aminona im Osten auf Skiern abfahren kann. Bus- oder Autotransfers, um bestimmte Lifte zu erreichen, sind nicht notwendig.

Jun 2022Wunderbar. Diese diskret gelegene Perle mit wunderbarem Ausblick über das Wallistal hat uns ein wunderbares verlängertes Wochenende erlaubt. Das Haus/Chalet, das mit seinem antiken Innern schon fast an ein altehrwürdiges Schloss/Anwesen erinnert, hat unserer erweiterten Familie diverse schöne Plätzen drinnen (Feuerstelle) und draussen (Jacuzzi) zum Zusammenkommen offeriert. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen, und überlegen uns für das nächste Mal ein Murder Mystery Dinner. Zu guter Letzt: Tigo war ein super Host, sehr zuvorkommend and freundlich. Wir danken!

Apr 2022Das Chalet ist riesig und bietet viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten.
Einige Teile, Räume und Mobilar sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bedürften etwas mehr "Liebe".
Grundsätzlich hat alles gepasst und wir sind gut klar gekommen.
Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und bietet extrem viel Geschirr und Zubehör. Der Salon mit Kamin und dem tollen Blick ist genial!

Aug 2021Huset er overdådigt flot og smukt, og med en interessant baggrundshistorie. Vi var 16 mennesker i alt, 3 i 70'erne, 6 yngre/midaldrende, og 1 ung (20 år), 3 teenagere (14-16) og 2 børn (5-6 år), og huset var perfekt og meget charmerende for os alle. Desuden er det beliggende i et helt fantastisk bjergområde, hvor der både kan gås superflotte ture, ses skønne udsigter, og med en række også børnevenlige aktiviteter tæt på. Den udendørs jacuzzi var populær hos både børn, unge og voksne.

Feb 2020It was a wonderful traditional chalet. Each bedroom had its own character and all were in perfect condition. The layout of the house was perfect, had a beautiful front living room with a fire place and piano for after meal chats and games. Had a TV room downstairs which we used as a den for the kids who all played their board games down there which was perfect. The chef that was suggested was fantastic and very friendly plus the assistant that was provided was extremely helpful and was always there to attend to my big families every need. The villa had hardly any neighbours and the view was just incredible, nothing blocking the view and the sunrises and sunsets were truly magical. On top of this the sauna was a great addition as well as the well positioned hot tub to watch the sunrise and sunset. I would truly recommend this villa as it was a perfect stay!!

The wonderful views of the mountains and valleys from every room will stay with us forever! Excellent for large family gatherings ( we were 13 in total) - so much space ! And unique history. The owner, Tiago, was most helpful, responding to any requests, and giving suggestions for places to visit. So thank you again for a memorable stay.

Sep 2019This magnificent, spacious chalet was perfect for a family reunion where 15 of us (4 generations) gathered to celebrate a 90th birthday. Lots of beautiful, large bedrooms with ensuites and a huge, comfortable living room where we could all be together, as well as a dining room with a long table and enough chairs for the whole group. Spectacular views from virtually every room and a lovely garden. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Cleaners came twice during our 11 day stay and the host was very pleasant - easy to communicate with and responding quickly to queries. Loved our stay here and hope to be back one day.

Mar 2015We stayed at La Grande Baronne in Feb 2015 for a family ski week (two families - 4 adults and 5 kids in total). We were looking for a place where we could spend some quality time together, while also enjoying the views and activities of the Swiss Alps. And, this place was perfect for both.
The accommodations were perfect (with room for another family or two). Most all the bedrooms (except the basement) had porch access with mountain views and their own bathrooms. And, as an added touch, bathrobes, slippers and water (still and sparkling) were provided in every room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need, including enough coffee (Nespresso pods) for several coffee-addicts. The dining area sat all of us comfortably (with room for many more). And, the living room was very comfortable, especially by a warm fire. The piano was an extra nice benefit as one of our friends is a great piano player who provided extra entertainment (he doesn't come with the place, but I'm sure he'd consider joining you if you paid his way...). After a full day of skiing, we also enjoyed the hot tub, just steps from the kitchen door.
From a location perspective, it is very well located (although not ski in/out). It was just a 5 minute drive to Crans Montana (I believe the Violette ski lift is the closes one). And, of course, of same distance to the main areas of Crans and Montana where there are plenty of shops and restaurants - although, we spent most of our time in the comfort of the chalet, and only ventured out to eat once (great fondue at Petit Paradis, which was a 5-minute walk from the chalet.) While a few of us ski'd every day, others ventured to Gruyere and other places for day trips, which were also fairly close by (an hour drive or so).
Tiago was also great in helping us with anything we needed. From ordering bread delivery in the morning (great bread and croissants) to helping with all the questions we had before our visit.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying here. We cant wait to go back - and are considering adding another family to the mix next time.

And it turned out to be the ideal place. The chalet is spacious and so comfy! We all had our own lovely bedroom. For my mother it was important that her bedroom was on the same floor as the dining room sitting room and kitchen. Our kids adored the home cinema and for the small ones there were plenty of toys. The chalet itself is very private but in a couple of minutes’ drive you are in the center of Crans Montana with lots of shops and restaurants. We did many trips in the region, all close by, like Sion and Val d’Anniviers with his beautiful old wooden houses. Our kids did the adventure park, the aqua park, did the gletcher Plaine Morte, we swam in 3 different beautiful lakes and further we made some mountain walks, all with stunning views and easy to walk for all of us.. This is the best chalet we've stayed anywhere in the world in terms of balance between location, comfort, views and practicality. We will surely come back!

Apr 2011We had a fabulous ski holiday. We were with two families with in total 14 people. The chalet is wonderful, homely, very warm and comfortable with two wonderful log fires and fabulous views over many alps of 4,000+ metres. Although we come already since years (8!) it is each time again a great experience to first take a sauna right after skiing and then go in the jaccuzzi outside in the snow watching the sunset with a glass of wine in your hand. I love the combination of old character with modern comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and practical and there is a Canotzet and grand salon, although we were with a big group we still all had our privacy. We are not sure if we go skiing next year, however if we go we book definitely again."

Apr 2011"Chalet spacieux avec vraiment une très belle vue sur la vallée du Rhone et le Val d'Anniviers. Le chalet est agréablement meublé, classique, mais quand- même beaucoup de confort.Calme absolu, excellente exposition, cinq minutes de la cabine quí t'amène aux pistes à 3000 mètres. Chambres exceptionnelement spacieuses. Nos enfants ont 'habité' ou dans le jacuzzi extérieur ou dans la cave ou se trouve un home cinéma!

Apr 2011September is misschien wel de mooiste maand om in de Zwitserse Alpen te verblijven. Het is er dan nog heerlijk warm, de meeste toeristen zijn verdwenen, maar alles is nog wel open. We waren met ons achten. We hebben heerlijk gewandeld, zowel hoog in de bergen, langs prachtige beekjes als beneden in het dal waar we een wijnroute hebben gelopen ( inclusief proeverij!). Het chalet is zeer confortabel, zeer klassiek ingericht maar nog meer confortabel dan een 5 sterren hotel vanwege de gigantische slaapkamers. Elke avond zaten we op het balkon e genieten van het prachtige uitzicht en later een fenomenale sterrenhemel. Voor ons was het een onvergetelijke vakantie!

Apr 2011"We had a wonderful time in the chalet La Baronne. It is a fantastic typical European high standard chalet. We really thought we lived in our own house, it was so cosy and spacious. Despite of all the beautiful objects in the house we were not afraid for our little children they would damage anything. There were 16 of us including 8 very young children. Crans Montana has a amazing place for teaching our little kids to ski: the golf! The owner arranged 2 nannies for us and a super chef from Italy. The only moment we did not like was when we had to head back home to the big apple. Thank you family Jurgens, we loved your place!

My family and I stayed in this beautiful chalet in February 2010. Although I have been in many great places all over the world I had never seen before such a beautiful house. It has a lovely mixture of old antiques with modern comfort.
Our party consisted of two families with children of 4,6,9 & 16 years old. The chalet was great for all age groups with plenty to keep the children occupied, whilst the adults enjoyed the sauna and the outside hot tub with it's incredible view. The second sitting room, also with home cinema, was ideal for the children.
The beds were fantastically comfortable with excellent quality bed linen and bedding. The kitchen was superbly equipped and the wonderful sitting room and log fire were a joy to spend a relaxed evening in. The owners Tiago and Klaartje were are at hand to advise and assist with any needs you may have. A little piece of heaven.

Feb 2010Our first visit to Crans-montana was a massive success. My family,wife and two boys(7 and 13),my brothers family, wife and two girls (5 and 6 ) and my sister booked the chalet having not skiied or holidayed together for a long time.The chalet was perfect for all of us and the layout meant we could still have are own family time when needed. All the facilities at the chalet were top class and we especially liked the luxury of the sauna and the outdoor jaccuzzi which aided recovery after some serious skiing.
Access to the ski slopes is really easy and even with young tired kids we had no problem getting there and back.
We spent the most beautiful holiday in this great place. Owners were super to deal with, instant replies to any questions during the booking process, and everything was so welcoming on arrival. It felt more like a home.
