Jun 2021There were no breakfast for us we went to another hotel to eat breakfast. Another thing crisis of water they closed the water at night it was hard to go to the toilet, they closed the water whilst the another's were not yet finish washing themselves in the morning.
There were no water to drink.

Dec 2021The location is fine and there is a nice view over Port Alfred. It's fine but it doesn't look like much of the profit from this unloved and overdeveloped ATM makes it back to the hotel or the servants forced to looked after it for the cynical and absent landlord.
Cheapskate minimal service, bare repair, half mast, unloved, miserable, undernourished cash cow I'd not revisit.

Sep 2022Nothing because we were promised single beds but we were given double beds for two people. They did not mention that the swimming pool is not used due to water problem. It mentioned that it is sound proofed but we were expected to tone down the noise. The rules they have on booking. com is far different from the ones they have on agreement. The WiFi is very poor. We're expected to be up and running at 7 because of hot water as if we're in some school dom or hostel. The manager has the worst attitude for days! So i did not like anything about that place I mean nothing

The place needs a revamp, carpets are very dirty, rusty shower handles. No water for guests in the rooms to drink. The place just didn't live up to its name Royal coz it's very filthy inside the rooms. There was no water from Monday night until we left, they didn't even bother to inform us and at checkout no one was there. What a horrible experience.
