Apr 2022Wonderful quiet location with great ocean views. Good bed and nice linen. Kitchenette well equipped.
Slope/hill to beach. Steps to studio. Shower over spa bath. Not suitable if you are physically limited.

Jul 2021What an awesome wee find. Was perfect for me. Breaky was yummy, spa bath was perfect for a quiet night in. A short walk across the road to catch a beautiful Ōpōtiki sunrise/sunset. It was everything I needed and more!

We didn’t like the wooden shutters over the kitchen window. They had to be kept open to see the view. Glass windows would have allowed a lovely view.
No extra blankets provided. A throw on the end of the bed would have been good as it was a bit chilly overnight.
Nice quite place to stay and unwind.
Aug 2021This is a nice quite and tranquil location close to the beach. The host Stephan is great, the bed very comfortable with quality linen. The room is spacious, has good heating, and has a kitchen. The spa bath is huge! The units have glimpses of the sea.
It is good to be aware that due to the location the water pressure is low so it takes a little while to fill your bath (also affected by the other units using the water.) But once it fills up it is great.

Nov 2021The whole unit was great! They had a cute lil table, good selection of brochure guides, a comfy as bed, a gas stove and a nice jaccuzi. The jets weren't the most powerful but they were good enough 😁 stefan was friendly and the views from the car park area and the lawn thing was great 👌 we had such a good sleep. The beds were super good

Mar 2022The scenery was absolutely stunning, and loved the character of the room. The garden over looked the ocean, which was perfect to relax and read a book.
My husband and I would definitely will love to go back.
The driveway was steep and the parking spaces were a little tight, especially if all rooms were occupied.

May 2021The room was perfect, immaculately clean and new. Owners were exceptionally helpful and accommodated a late arrival.
The location is a bit remote but if you use the booking.com navigation aid it will take you there very easily. Parking is up a steep incline but is easier than it looks.

Jul 2021The quiet and location were perfect. Close to the beach. Welcome was very good. Rooms clean and bed comfortable.
The spa bath was a huge challenge to get in and out of as the shower was in the bath. Not ideal for the less than nimble.

Jun 2021The Honey Loft had everything we needed for a long weekend. The view from our unit was beautiful and the garden with its huge Pahutakawa trees is spectacular. We plan to return in the summer when we will be able to sit on the deck for a sundowner.

May 2021Loved our stay in the Studio with Terrace (Honey Loft) among the pohutukawa trees. Very comfortable bed, well equipped room with beautiful outlook, just across the road from a gorgeous beach. Enjoyed our morning walk to Onekawa Pa with spectacular views.
