Mar 2022The weekend was filled with good food. Good music. And the best hosts ever. The cottage was cozy and clean. We enjoyed wonderful blue crabs Friday night at Foti's (The Fruit Stand). Saturday morning we enjoyed the Zydeco breakfast at Buc and Johnny's. Saturday afternoon we attended the 35th Annual Here’s the Beef Cook-off in Opelousas. Great food and Cajun music. Saturday evening we witnessed a beautiful sunset at Lake Martin. Make sure to stop by the Cajun Market Donut Company. The parking lot is always full so we knew it had to be good. Jan 2022The Studio was comfy and had all the amenities I needed with w/d, full size bath, nice bed, seating and kitchenette stuff. I had a private "back porch" separate and private from the adjoining residence. I propped the back door open in the morning to enjoy the light and airiness of January in Louisiana with a hot cup of joe. Katie was informative and kind, updating me on arrival and departures of the guests staying "next door". Great stay and affordable for me as I travel home to Louisiana often to visit with family. Jun 2019The place was cute and cozy and a perfect place for me to stay as a single person.
The only thing I have a complaint about is, I would have loved to have sit out on the back porch swing with my morning cup of coffee, but it was dirty. It didn't look like it had been cleaned.... ever. Had it been swept and the swing cleaned of debris and cobwebs, etc, the place would have been perfect.
Otherwise, the owner went over and above to make my stay comfortable.

Mar 2018Ms. Riley was helpful and accommodating, and while the outside wasn’t much to look at, I was pleasantly surprised that the inside space was prettily decorated and super clean (and I am picky about cleanliness of rooms)!!
