Aug 2022What a beautiful stay we had at Castaway. The hosts very so friendly and made us feel at home. The location of this property is stunning, it's right next to a pretty much private beach. (officially its public but there is hardly anyone) perfect for a dive into the sea, or surf a but further down. The facilities itselves are nicely done and perfect to relax. The sunsets were amazing too. There are a couple of really good restaurants closeby, 5min walk only.

was here 3 years ago, seems like the place was not properly maintained (e.g shower stall had broken doors, etc.) since then, perhaps because of covid. nonetheless it was still rather comfortable and the place was clean.

Walls in room need a lick of paint or a clean. New rooms are under construction....

Mar 2020Right ON the beach. Most of the others in the area are back from the beach a bit. This gives a great breeze and ambiance. Close to good food at Lisa’s Garden and Happy Restaurant... rooms clean and comfy.
People park in front of two of the units so those could be landscaped to prevent this but its not that bad...

Infrastructure is a bit worn out but still reasonable for location. little bit of mould in bedroom.

Jul 2022It was a great stay at Castaway. We had the sea view apartment and it was right in front of the beach. The room was spacious with terrace and our own living room. The bed room is separate with a door, which make it private. The view from our place was amazing!
Can offer something better for the breakfast.

Mar 2020I loved that it was on the ocean. The sunsets were amazing. Lorene, the manager was very helpful. She made great breakfasts.
I didn’t like that the roof leaked by the bathroom and got my towel wet if I put it on the drying rack. Mosquitoes came in through that back room as well so we had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. Sand was tracked inside easily and the room was never cleaned. It was expensive for Indonesia.

The room we were in had a thin wall separation with the another room so we could basically hear every single little noises from the other room and vice versa.

Lourine is such a wonderful manager who is so helpful in every aspect down to room cleanliness, to organization of transport.
Wonderful location minutes away from yoyos and tropicals.
Must stay if your going to be in west sumbawa.
Winderful dogs at the property to hang out with also!
