Excellent short stay with great views of the lake
May 2023We had a family cabin up on the hill overlooking Lake Tekapo. There was a small table and a very basic kitchen area with a small bar fridge. You could not do cooking there but at the cooking building a short walk away. We knew this before booking so it wasn't a big deal. On the verandah there was a small table and chairs to enjoy the view and relax.
We did not have any issues with the place.

Apr 2023We didn't know what to expect and after driving some distance through the accommodation compound we were met with a very well equipped cabin capable of sleeping 6 and with a decent kitchen and lounge with deck and bbq outside all with a lakeside setting
Tekapo itself was quite expensive

Nov 2021View from our room was excellent, overlooking lake tekapo. We had a separate kitchen and living area which was quite convenient.
The room was a bit cramped up. looked very small.

The "sharp" knife was blunt so was a bit tricky chopping up our veg for tea and we were missing a fork. Nothing major at all

Apr 2023This accommodation is right on the edge of the lake it is beautiful to wake up to. Facilities and amenities are clean and convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a pretty big holiday park.It is only a few short minutes walk to tekapo springs that was a bonus for us.
We were in a cabin that used the shared facilities walking to the shared bathroom at night is not too far but it is very dark as there isn't lighting along the driveway. Our cabin was on a little bit of an incline and we had to walk very carefully on the gravel in the dark. Just keep in mind this time of year this holiday park can be busy with campers even tho there were a couple kitchens they were all full to the brim of people. So if you don't mind waiting to use the facilities like we did then ok or get a cabin with a bathroom and kitchen in it.

Aug 2022The view and location are fantastic. Rooms are a good size and neighbours are few. Felt private and secluded. Unit is very well equipped and while we only stayed one night, it would have been comfortable for many more.
Shower was too small and the shower head quite low. It was ok for me at 5' 9" but a bit taller would mean you would be squatting a bit to get under it.
The size of the shower cubicle also meant the curtain kept sticking to me.

The kitchen is somewhat small for the number of beds (hence potential guests) the facility has.
Kiwi bach rooms are a great family option with easy access to the lake.

Nothing to do with the accommodation but therw was no cellphone signal where we stayed.
Room etc nice but very expensive and very average communication.

There was zero interaction from any actual staff. We got a map to the site which was confusing and we spent at least 20min attempting to find our “Bach”. Turns out there was a code to go through a gate….. not well communicated at all.
None of the signage married with emails or the map 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️.
