Le Theatre Cruises - Wonder on Lan Ha Bay

wonderfully maintained cruise. Peter, the cruise manager, made sure everything was perfect and went out of his way to make our anniversary special. 10/10 recommend!

where do I begin! First class service from the entire crew. Especially manager Tom and Peter. Special mention though goes to Lucky who was our waiter throughout our two nights and three days on board. We were celebrating our honeymoon and the exceptional care and attention (and surprises) from the crew made it everything we could have dreamed of. This boat is really beautiful. It is a packed itinerary with kayaking swimming cycling relaxing and of course eating and we loved every moment! I would say that if you are able to, 2 nights is an absolute MUST. The one night option simply is too short. By the time you are on the boat everything suddenly feels quite rushed and more of a race to get activities done rather than relaxing and enjoying what is simply one of the most gorgeous places on earth on a truly stunning boat. With the second night however the pace is massively better and you can really appreciate what you are seeing and spend time soaking it in. Not to mention the bonus of getting more lovely food and drink on board! Overall we loved our time on board, and again a special thank you to the Lucky, Tom and the rest of this hard working dedicated crew! There are lots of other luxurious boats in Halong bay which I’m sure are equally great (and all the boats have essentially identical itineraries and timetables) but I can’t imagine any of them exceeding Le theatre in terms of design, comfort and attention to detail! Thank you for having us on board

Very limited wifi. This is the same for every boat in Halong bay due to satellite visibility in the bay. Absolutely not a criticism of Le theatre, just an observation, don’t go expecting to be connected to the outside world- for me this was a bonus if anything!

We went on the Le Theatre Cruise, for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a beautiful cruise, the rooms were set up so great and we felt comfortable and welcomed the whole time. We had Lucky as our waiter who is friendly and accommodating and really went above and beyond. Our Host Steve was very welcoming and friendly and ensured we were always comfortable and happy. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to see Ha Long Bay.

We've truly enjoyed our time on the cruise. Nice and happy people working there which always are thrilled to help you. The activities were great and optional so if you just want to chill, you can! We've had delicious and well presented food and their selection of wine was pretty bomb! The most amazing thing was the balcony, gorgeous gorgeous view of the bay!!!! We would highly recommend this boat when travelling to Ha long Bay!

We stayed 1 night for our honeympon. Everything was perfect and fun! All of the staff were very friendly. Our manager Peter was always there to help us and he was very informative.

we got upgraded to the panorama suite which was really appreciated and the view was amazing in the room. however the view is even more beautiful from the top deck of the boat but it is true you get it for yourself in the room and while taking your bath !!! squid fishing was really fun (I love fishing haha) the kayaking was also really nice 👍🏼. Quiet in the sea and a lot of fun. bit disappointed on the cave thing. it was in the morning on a local bamboo boat. We only visited one cave by sitting on the boat passing below the cave. The portion of the dinner was quite big served with a sea platter. surprised to find colombard cépage which is difficult to find even in France ! that was a pleasant surprise (even if it is a blend with Sauvignon I recommend this to go with your seafood while supply last haha) some of the staff are really nice I really enjoy talking with some of them during squid fishing and they’re English is quite good as well. Every time the staff will explain in both Vietnamese and English.

the room was not very clean and quite dusty we even had some of our friends who found cockroach in the room … lucky not us. The music on the sun deck is very loud which we prefer not to have any but the sound of nature. the drinks are crazy expensive it’s like 100k+10k (see below) for a beer …. 1 million+100k for any wine 😅even in the 5 star hotel where we stayed at the pool side it would cost you 60k …. guess it is due to difficulty in delivering alcohol to the sea? the food was all right nothing amazing and you better rush to the buffet if you want something (unlucky there were a bunch of local people always in a rush during our trip). we asked for another plate of fruits at some point during dinner, I admit it was quite late but given the price we pay I would expect them to help on that request …. the thing that really enrage me is that they charge you 10% service charge on everything you buy from them but it is not stated on the menu, it is a very unpleasant surprise. when I ask why it was not stated on the menu the guy replied “ sorry sir it is a new menu” …. I think you shall stop taking your customer for fools ! also, do not use their pick up and drop off service, we didn’t know the price so happy to pay 80 usd (20 usd per person per way) after further checking on our side you could book a ride on bookaway for less than 60 usd.

We absolutely loved our stay on Le Theatre cruise! I can't recommend it enough. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Tom, Nga, Peter and everyone else were so attentive, approachable and warm and really made the stay special. The staff upgraded our room for free as there weren't many other passengers as we did the cruise during winter. Myself and my fiance got engaged just before the cruise and the staff made it so special by preparing a dinner table for us with candles and romantic music which we really enjoyed and appreciated. The room was stunning with panorama views of the ocean and was modern, clean, comfortable and had beautiful furnishings. It came equipped with robes and slippers and had a lovely bath. The activities were enjoyable and we enjoyed the food, there is a wide range of options. I don't eat seafood and they modified the menu for me and all substitutes were great. The drinks menu was plentiful and the music on the ship added to the ambience. The boat was delayed getting to the cruise due to orders from the coast guard due to weather and as we were one hour late starting, the ship provided happy hour for the entire stay which was really appreciated. I will recommend this cruise to all my family and friends!

very very nice. friendly staff. very clean. excellent food. five star to the chef. special thanks to Emily from the office staff who really helped us to make our vacation a wonderful experience. thanks to mr. Peter /mr. Owen /mr. Willy for taking good care of us. five star to them.

nothing as such. but they made us swim wit life jackets on. 😝😝
