Feb 2023Thoughtful details really elevated our stay. There was nothing better than finishing a day's skiing and coming back to the complimentary afternoon tea offered by Yasushi. The onsens were also amazing.
It was a little incongruent to see none of the Western staff wearing masks, considering everywhere else in Japan it's expected that you wear them. Depends if this an issue for you or not.

Jan 2022This was easily the best place I have stayed at... It was faultless. The standout for me was the staff. I thought the GM was the owner but he was just helping out his friend, the receptionist really gave me all the right advice, and a fellow Aussie working there took me out on the slopes and showed me how to go through the trees and powder.

Mar 2022The residence is very cosy, beautifully decorated and with all the amenities that will make your stay comfortable. The possibility to use the onsen privately was greatly appreciated. The breakfast and afternoon tea were very tasty. And above all, the great hospitality of Giorgio definitely made our stay much easier, more pleasant and ultimately unforgettable, as he organized for taxi rides, dinner reservations and even for me to get crutches after I had a skiing accident!
Nothing to dislike. Perfect place at Nozawa onsen.
So pampering and comfy
Mar 2022The kinda accommodation where you wish you could stay indoors the whole day. Full service hotel that feels like a homely apartment and rather unassuming from the outside.
They had great tea time treats and also helped us book reservations at a nearby restaurant for dinner which seem to be quite popular.
We also had a dip at the hotel's own hot spring which is fed by real onsen sources. After the super hot ones we tried outside, this felt rather lukewarm!
Nothing really, except that the wooden floor of our room was so smooth I slipped and knocked myself on the hard edge of the pillar / wall 😅
Phenomenal, best accomodation in Japan
Mar 2023The breakfast was amazing, the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. The staff constantly went above and beyond for us from helping us book ski lessons and dinners to lots of recommendations for around town. Every detail was so well thought out and we also loved the private onsen and tea time.

It was a little bit tough to adjust the water temperature in the bath room. I wanted to get more hot water.

one of the two private onsens was regularly colder than the other, the property is somewhat far from the slopes and a 5 minutes walk into town.

Jan 2022It s an absolutely amazing place. The building was recently renovated, the lobby and rooms are very clean and inviting. Excellent rooms with everything you would need. Private onsen is on the first floor. Very nice breakfast. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very close to the center of the village and ski lifts. Hope to stay in this place again in the near future.

Aug 2021Everything was great there. They kept the facilities and the room very clean and comfortable for us to stay. Very friendly staff to welcome us in. Would love to come back again for another stay!
The only thing we didn’t like was the temperature of onsen. The water was way too hot to go in and had to cool it down with a very cold water for a while. However, the onsen was a private one which was a very good experience for guests!
